Place is so good! Always hits the spot. Fast and friendly service every time. Only thing negative I'd say is that they close too early haha. Super easy to choose just line PAnda Express they have hot and ready items. Also, their lumpia's are divine! Go check them out.

Filipinos are all over the U.S. and beyond serving in a variety of medical and nursing capacity. Here, you see them serving in many hospitals and care centers or health care agencies. They also bring their culinary delights but often it's been a hit and miss for me. However, I enjoyed the dishes from the House of Grill particularly, their vegetable noodles with ground beef and spices dish (patola), mung beans and Halo-Halo. I had a chat with the cook and they humbly shared their inspiration of serving authentic Filipino delights, "We cook these dishes from the aroma and tastes that our parents and community dishes out during our young lives." They wanted to share the Filipino spirit and cultural grastronomy to the world so others can understand their journey, he added. So, if you're on the exploratory hunt for some Filipino tastes, drop by this place and dive into something new. Guess what, you might just find your new love!

OMG. We've been here so often in the past several weeks, and I am more than a bit behind with my reviews. So here comes the cramming.HOUSE OF GRILL is located in a small-but-fierce strip mall with a parking lot both in front of, and behind, the shops. You can't enter the restaurant from the rear parking lot though, so you'll have to walk around and enter at the front if you parked in the back. There are a few chairs and tables inside so you can sit down and enjoy your food in comfort.HOUSE OF GRILL has a "turo-turo" (translation: point-point") set up. When you enter, you line up in front of the glass case and point to the food you'd like to order. Slide your tray on over to the cashier to pay for your selection. There are dozens of food selection on any given day, but it's not the same selection every day. Here are some of the items we've eaten in the past few weeks:SARSIADO FISH. My mom was really craving this, It's fried fish (they used golden pompano), which is then simmered in an egg and fresh tomato... sauce?... soup? Anyways, the flavors are extra! Just the fish by itself is already delicious.. but then it's simmered in those delicious flavors... mmm, mmmm. The TINOLA is a chicken soup with clear broth and some vegetables. This soup is full of flavor and so great on a cold rainy day like this.Their PORK SISIG is made from fried crispy pork belly. They're usually chopped up and some acid and chili hotness. Delicious! They have a fish version of this too called BANGUS SISIG. Instead of pork, they use milk fish.TORTA TALONG, for lack of a better translation, is eggplant omelette. The eggplant is grilled first (I've heard other people cook the eggplant a different way) until the insides are cooked well and the eggplant is very soft. Their skinned eggplant is fried with beaten eggs, ground meat and diced vegetables. They also have the famous Filipino dessert HALO HALO!Also, they have UBE SUMAN. Suman is sweet rice steamed in wrapped leaves.Definitely a great place to keep coming back for good comfort food.

I love their food! The flavors are far superior to the Filipino restaurant in SFM/Balboa, and the service is much faster too. While it's a bit pricier here, the quality of the food is well worth it. I've been coming here for years, and it's our go-to place for catering. Their palabok is the best in the Valley!

Have been here several times, including when they were at a different location in the valley. Your usual Filipino food fare where you order from ready made food and pay either by size or getting a combo. They have especially good breakfast. They have a few areas to sit and a water dispenser. The parking is a little tight in front. My favorite thing here actually is the ube halaya, delicious.

This place would had been a 5 star if they would clean their area... when I come to visit family in this area. Presentation That was great the area the cleanliness where they serve the food was very clean!!! The food was amazing the flavors where how my grandma would cook our food to its best! I got the chicken with tomato soup "apritada" with garlic rice! My friend Kim ordered the BBQ on a stick! The desert was great called HaLo-Halo check out the pictures to see the flavors they have! I hardly get Filipino food but when I do I get it from this place when I visit this area! The place where they serve food was so clean... did I tell you that but there is something I liked to point out is to keep your lobby of where all your customers eat clean please (please check photos). Please clean the floors, table and trash area. This is a big point off of what would had been a FIVE STARS! The service was very simple and strait to the point! Most of the servers that serve food had gloves on so that was the perk on how clean the place was in the kitchen. I recommend this place to try out as many you can and see if this Filipino hot spot is something to take a drive for!!! Price is fair and makes up for the combo deals as all the food is something to try!

the food is usually pretty good, 7-8 out of 10 especially the fish sisig and the shrimp egg roll. we went on a thursday morning, not busy at all, we were the only customers in line. the person behind the counter was very rude when we were asking for a sauce saying that they don't give sauces anymore. we asked if the other food on the menu is available and she gave us more attitude and seemed very annoyed with us asking questions. food is one of the good ones in the valley but service sucks and people are far from friendly.
