The food was SO BOMBBB Love it! Found y'all on Tik Tok and so happy I did. I think the shrimp and beef were equally good. Definitely will be back. I didn't care for the bok choy- flavor was good but the texture is like water chestnuts (not my fav) and I got the pineapple dole drink but that was mid. The stars were forsure the beef rib plate and shrimp plate. I recommend everybody to try The service was cool, the girl was nice and I felt like it took a reasonable time to make.

Honu Hawaiian BBQ is a fantastic spot that my family and I absolutely loved! I had the beef rib plate, and it was perfectly cooked--tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of char. My nephew had the katsu plate, which was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. My wife had the garlic butter shrimp plate, and it was incredible--the shrimp were fresh, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. The portions were generous, and everything tasted authentic and fresh.The service was excellent--the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a laid-back island vibe that made the experience even better. If you're craving Hawaiian food that hits all the right notes, Honu Hawaiian BBQ is the place to go. We can't wait to come back!

Location is in the corner of a very busy plaza. This plaza has so much to offer. I'm glad they're there because it's the only place like it in the plaza. This Hawaiian bbq place is know for their Korean fusion. Specifically their beef rib dish. I heard theres limited qualities daily. We went on a Sunday afternoon, only an hour after they opened and it was already pretty busy. You can place an order on the kiosks or have a staff member take your order. We placed an order for three dishes, the beef rib, garlic butter shrimp, and chicken katsu. The wait was about 30 minutes. The garlic butter shrimp was flavorful; extra garlicky. They recommend eating it with the shell on and it made all the difference. The katsu was thick, super crispy and luckily not greasy. The beef rib was definitely the star of the show. Tender meat, falling off the bone with sticky flavoring that makes it pair well with the plain rice. Overall, very happy with each dish. Only thing I would want to change is the Mac salad. That was the only thing that didn't really have flavor.

Wow.This may have been the greatest katsu I've ever had. Super crispy, yet so tender, melts in your mouth. I really don't know what sort of witchcraft went into this. How it stayed so solid while being so soft while being so crispy this was an insane meal.Mac salad was also really good too, I'm a Big Mac salad guy. Wish serving sizes were a bit more but man it was so good.

Went on a Friday night, line wasn't too crowded thankfully! There's plenty of seating outdoors, but we opted to take ours to-go. The lady who took our order was very detailed, and I appreciate her repeating our order to confirm to ensure we got everything. Meat jun plate: 4/5 Beef rib plate: 4/5 Portions are great! Flavor-wise I wish it had just a tad more of that grill/charcoal flavor if that makes sense, And I wish the meat Jun came with a sauce too but still delicious nonetheless.

Honu Hawaiian is a tasty Korean Hawaiian BBQ spot located in the back corner of Yes Plaza. Their website was eye-catching and easy to navigate. Since their food is cooked to order and I don't enjoy waiting, I loved being about to place my order from home and then drive over to the restaurant without wasting time. Each plate comes with 2 scoops of fluffy white rice topped with furikake, 1 large scoop of creamy mac salad, and shredded cabbage. The spicy mayo on the side paired well with our food. Beef Rib Plate (5/5) - The plate comes with 3 beef ribs that are packed with a sweet and smoky flavor. This was our favorite dish. Meat Jun Plate (4/5) - The thinly sliced beef coated in an eggy batter was great with the sweet and salty sauce. Dole Pineapple Coconut Slush (4/5) - This is essentially a pina colada without the alcohol. The slush would be great in the summer.

FOOD [5/5]Honestly everything I've tried here is really good and flavorful. Their garlic shrimp is always very crispy and full of flavor. It's recommended to eat the shrimp with the skin on. If you like beef, the beef rib plate was delicious! The beef falls off the bone and was super tender. Each plate come with a salad, rice and mac salad which was plenty of food!EXPERIENCE [5/5]They are a small shop, with limited seating. I usually do Togo for my family and eat it at home! I came in to try the Katsu plate, subbed the cabbage coleslaw for extra rice ($0.50 additional charge), and got a side of gochujang chicken. The place is really tiny, they have 2 bar seating but there are more tables just outside or if you keep going, there's a little food court with plenty of tables and chairs for you to enjoy the food.There was a bit of a wait for the food. It's also posted on their counter that they make their food fresh so it does take a while to get it to our table. No problem. we waited and when our beeper rang, we went back to get the food. It was served HOT. The chicken Katsu was good, crispy and juicy inside. evenly cooked and cut up nicely so that you can dip it in the Katsu sauce. However, the show shopper for me is actually the side dish, the gochujang chicken! This was the main dish for me. I seriously can't believe how much chicken they give and how well it was cooked and seasoned! I was so glad that I got that extra rice instead of the coleslaw, because it goes so well with rice. I think next time I would like to try the beef rib or galbi plate and of course I'd come back for that gochujang chicken too! Parking was actually decent when we went on a Saturday afternoon, it was packed but we were able to find a parking spot fairly easy.
