Came in craving a snack and left completely satisfied! I tried two tacos, though they felt more like mini saucy burritos.Chicano Batman ($5) - A flavorful vegan option! The soydillo had a great texture, almost like soft, seasoned ground pork, and the extra tomato sauce kept it from being dry. The mix of soydillo, potatoes, guac, and salsa verde was delicious. Bonus points for a plant-based taco tasting this good!Fort Worth ($6) - The bacon really stood out in every bite, balanced by the spicy, tangy kick of pickled jalapeños. The flavors reminded me of a supreme Crunchwrap but in burrito form--so reminiscent! Packed with chicken, bacon, pickled jalapeños, pico de gallo, lettuce, and tomatillo ranch, this one was a winner.There's seating both indoors and outdoors, and they serve your food directly to your table. Just be sure to clean up your tray after.

The food was great and their frosty margaritas are on point!There's limited seating inside and you kinda feel a bit rushed to make room for others waiting for a table. Other than that, it's pretty great.

I have been here so many times and I still am surprised by how tasty everything is.My favorite tacos are those with the charro beans. The beans make the tacos so savory and flavorful. I like the Neches and the Don't Mess With Texas the most! The brisket is pretty damn good as well. I like getting the Tijuana Panther taco and the Frito Pie in a Bag.I always order a side of the pickled jalapeños or pickled onions for whatever I order. They bring texture and brightness to every bite. My favorite alcoholic beverage is the Frozen Spicy Paloma and for non-alcoholic I really enjoy the Cooldown. The Cooldown is fresh lemon and lime juice with citrus syrup and Topo Chico. It's super refreshing! CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK!

If you can overcome finding parking, you're in for a Tex Mex treat. Their lime cooler is refreshing and their queso nachos are delicious and super filling. Lots of space, can get loud inside. Their cookie for dessert is perfect to share. Super friendly service and at the end they bus your tables.

Solid TexMex! I'm not the biggest fan of TexMex but I had heard good things about HomeState and decided to give it a try. I got the brisket and Ft. Worth tacos. I thought they were very good and their flour tortilla is one of the best I've had in a long while.I'm told they are better known for their breakfast tacos so I will try to have those next time.

The tacos and food are tasty and made fast. The hibiscus limeade is $5 but free refills. And it tastes very good. The brisket is quality meat (not fatty) and shredded so easy to eat on the taco or brisket loaded queso ($10) w chips. I wish the loaded queso w brisket were more filled with pico de gallo bc it was mostly cheese and a little brisket. The tacos are good especially bc the homemade flour tortilla is very good (chewy and toasted w butter). Seating is convenient on picnic tables. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Great vibe and lots of Vegan options. Street parking only. The place is super close to highland bowling in the same side. Love that they give you drinks and water in glass cups. Oh and their homemade tortillas are also sold in a bag for $8.

BEST place in highland park to grab some casual food and great drinks! delicious tacos with local ingredients. Our favorites are the blanco taco and the frito pie. awesome margaritas and palomas.Parking: in the back of the store, there is a parking lot with paid spots (off of figueroa) OR street parking on figueroa at a meternice service. some indoor tables and cute outdoor patio that faces the gold line

BEST LOADED QUESO DIP! Servers are so nice and generous. Got recommendations to try the Tijuana + Potato Taco. Good taste! Def would come back to try others. Queso dip w/ chips is what i enjoyed the most. Frozen Palomas were yummy as well. Place can get packed and the line can get long depending what time of day you go BUT your food comes out pretty quick and efficient.Parking: street parking / metered parking / parking lots around.

Hello, we ordered 2 brisket but we got wrong orders. My hubby loves their brisket so he was very disappointed We come here often so it's will be nice if someone can reach out

Being born and raised in Austin, TX, I was excited to find actual breakfast tacos; however, every time I order for delivery, my order is wrong. I am charged for products that are never delivered. When I called, they told me I could drive up to the store, which doesn't work as I am disabled, and that is why I ordered delivery in the first place. The people at the store were rude on the phone and overcharged me. This happened once, and I tried again, and the same thing happened but worse as the food was compromised. If you are going into the store, I would give a higher rating, but for delivery, don't even bother.
