Lives up to the hype! I avoided the long lines somehow. Ordered a bunch of stuff but the true standout was the baja fish taco for me. We sat in the little bar area right next to the register with full view of the Michelin stars they've received through the years. It was cozy but not crowded and we ordered a lot including the blood oysters. Usually, I'm not a fan of oysters, but these were so delicious and fresh, I couldn't help myself devouring half the plate. As for pricing, for what it is, I'd say its a steal, but, that doesn't mean its cheap. We ordered a bunch of food and it came out to $90 for two people. Keeping in mind we ordered a lot of food with some leftovers, for fresh seafood in LA, I'd say its a good deal.

FoodFish and shrimp tacos - Solid and elevated, for entry level seafood people. 4/5Mixto - Had an elegant aftertaste but not perfect. Needed a bit more acidity and freshness. 4.3/5. Octopus taco - This was excellent and made even better with some guajillo salsa. I will say the octopus had slightly different levels of tenderness in each bite, inconsistent. 4.5/5Scallop taco - The best and most flavorful taco for sure. Incredibly tender scallops and unique flavors. 4.8/5Strawberry chocolate cheesecake - Solid but I think it can go a level higher. 4/5Churros - A little under-seasoned if you eat plain but the entire point is to dip in the incredible chocolate sauce to create a perfect, soft, rich bite. 5/5.Service5/5. Top notch service from the Manager. She was truly great.Ambiance4/5. Obviously limited by its food hall aesthetic.

The scallops in the Aquachille were so fresh and sweet--marinated in a spicy, citrusy and vibrant sauce. The Ceviche and Tostada likewise was made with amazingly fresh fishes with bright zippy flavors. The finely chopped fishes and herbs really helps hold so much flavor in each bite. The Tostada de Atun had featured a spicy Arbol-Peanut Sauce that provided a delicious balance to zippy acidity of the tuna ceviche. I will be back to try their uni and blood clams someday~The hot foods were equally as delicious and balanced the citrusy bright flavors of the cold dishes so well. The Smoked Kampachi Taco was packed with flavor--the combination of smoky flavor, cheese, and peanut salsa gave the dish depth and warmth. The Taco de Pulpo featured braised & fried octopus legs that were crispy on the outside but soft and tender on the inside--paired with on a serving of squid ink sofritas. The Baja Shrimp Taco held fat, juicy shrimps coated in a light crispy batter and drizzled in crema, mayo, and salsa giving rich flavors in each bite.On top of the amazing food, there is free parking and the wait was surprisingly shorter than I expected (around 30-40 mins). Not only could you see Chef Centina in the kitchen, but he was also walking around interacting with and checking in on customers.

Came across an Instagram reel and it was a must! I'm a huge fan of ceviches and this location did not disappoint- hands down the best ceviche I've had! Absolutely fresh seafood, as they pull shellfish from their tank.Parking is very tough, and it's all luck. But don't let that stop you..the line moves along quick and you can find seating inside. My girlfriend and I ordered quite a lot per usual, but it was absolutely amazing. Light, healthy, and refreshing. We're determined to come back again!I absolutely highly recommend to anyone on and even folks visiting! 5 stars all around.

Voted #1 yelp top eats for a dang good reason !! Lines are LONG so be ready to wait over an hour in line. And dress accordingly too ! The line extends alll the way outside of the building so you'll be freezing your butt off in the cold if you're wearing short shorts and a crop top. I've been here twice in the same month and waited about an hour and a half both times. Try to sit at their counter ! It's so fun watching them make the food. What we ordered : Tostada de Atun: local bluefin tuna, arbol-peanut sauce avo puree ($12) - to die for !!! My fav from the menu. I came back the second time specifically for this ! Tuna was so fresh. So much flavor. The toastada was nice and crunchy. I load it up with some more sauces to give it an extra kick. I'm still drooping over it now. Baja Fish Taco: Crispy battered local rockfish, crema, mayo, salsa roja, pico de gallo ($5) - I can't believe they're only 5 bucks each. My friends say it's the best fish taco they've ever had. Raw oysters: not sure how much they were or which ones we ordered but can't go wrong with raw oysters. They were so fresh. Didn't have a strong taste to them. Def a fan. For our entree we ordered Pulpo Asado: Mesquite grilled Gulf of Mexico octopus, almond pipian, cilantro rice, black beans, avocado & pico de gallo ($26)- I wasn't a huge fan of this. But my friends loved it. It was plated really well. Came with rice and tortillas for you to make your own tacos. Some bits were a little bit uncooked. It was still super slimy. I skipped it this second time I came. Camarones al Mojo de Ajo- Roasted TransparentSea Farms local shrimp, garlic-butter, cilantro rice, black beans, grilled bread ($28)- okay I hated this dish. But my friend that ordered it LOVED IT. it was just tooo shrimpy tasting to me. I'm honestly thinking of going back later today just for their tuna toastadas. Drooling.

One of the cheapest michelin stars in the US, average meal is probably around 20-30 dollars here. The line was pretty long when we got here at like 6:30 pm on a thursday but it moves fast and the food comes out prettt fast too.Hot sauces: Good flavor but all were a bit too spicy for me to use on my tacosUni and scallop: 5/5 Uni and scallop tasted super fresh. Uni was super creamy and they give a decent portion. I will say the uni itself didn't have a ton of flavor, but that's better than it tasting fishy.Baja fish taco: 5/5 Everything i want in a fish taco. Crispy breading, flaky fish, good balance of toppings and sauce. Fish could maybe be a tad crispier but still deliciousSmoked Kanpachi Taco: 4/5 I really liked the texture of the taco - crispy outside and more of a mushy interior. I wish the smoked flavor shone a bit more though Scallop Taco: 4.5/5 The scallop itself was super soft, juicy, and tender. Taco itself seemed a bit of an imbalance though - lots of bites were just empty tortilla.Overall, delicious seafood. Great value. Come here!

Hands down, the best meal I've had in 2025 so far--this spot is a Michelin-starred gem for a reason! From the first bite to the last sip, every moment was pure magic. We scored the bar top seats, which I highly recommend if you want to dodge the crazy-long wait. Pro tip: get there early and grab a spot before they open--bar guests get first dibs on ordering! Now, let's talk about the food. Baja fish tacos? Absolute perfection. The handmade tortillas were pillowy soft, the fish had the ideal crunch-to-flavor ratio, and every bite was pure bliss. The ceviches? So fresh, so vibrant--literally a citrusy, flavor-packed fiesta in my mouth. And then came the branzino dishes... WOW. The crispy skin alone deserves a standing ovation. My friend literally cried it tasted so much like how his mom used to make the fish growing up. There's something special about a Mexican restaurant that knows its way around seafood like this, and trust me, I'll be coming back again and again for it.Drink-wise, the sparkling lemonade was a tangy-sweet dream. And dessert? You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT leave without getting the churros con chocolate. Warm, crispy, and straight-up chef's kiss when dipped into that luscious chocolate. But the best part? Watching it all come together, right before your eyes. Sitting at the counter felt like scoring a front-row ticket to the ultimate foodie show--an experience I wasn't expecting but absolutely loved.Sorry, not sorry for spilling the secret to snagging the best seats in the house... You're welcome! Go, eat, and thank me later. And don't forget to buy their hot sauces. Super cheap for a nice gift for your spicy friends!!

The food was delicious. Definitely a must try. Reservations can be hard to get because there's only 8 counter seats for their testing menu. They offer 2 dinner times 2 days/week and reservations open up the 1st day of the month for the next month. You pay in full for the dinner (tax and tip included) when you make the reservation. Show up, eat, and leave. You get a choice of unlimited drinks with the price (Mexican coke, lemonade, etc.). The lemonade is delicious. This was our first time enjoying the tasting menu and it was amazing, but it seems like the portions have gotten smaller compared to the past looking at previous photos. Shrinkflation.Sitting at the counter, you watch them prepare and plate your food and it's handed to you over the counter. I sat next to the lobster tank which was an experience watching them fish for the live lobster and shrimp. I already want to go again. Manny and Lucy did a wonderful job.

Holbox is definitely a hidden gem for seafood lovers! The flavors here are super fresh, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. I had the kanpachi ceviche and the octopus taco--both were amazing. The ceviche was bright and citrusy, and the octopus was cooked perfectly, not chewy at all.The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the prices are on the higher side for a food hall spot, and the wait can be a little long during peak hours. But honestly, the food is worth it. If you're into seafood with bold flavors, this place is a must-try!

I have booked marked Holbox since last year, and finally decided to stop by last night. We waited an hour in line but it was totally worth it. All the dishes were masterfully showcased in vibrant flavors of Mexican seafood with perfect execution and artistry. We started with the ceviche de kanpachi, it was a large dish, tasted super fresh. The acidity was bright but not overpowering. The artistry was beautiful. Tostada de atun was a standout, tuna was perfectly fresh and sliced and paired nicely with the tostada , with a beautiful presentation. Taco de pulpo en su tinta was rich and flavorful. Octopus was tender and bit charred to the right amount of crisp. Smoked Kanpanchi taco was a surprise, it carried the right amount of smokiness that elevated the fish without overpowering it. Scallop taco was luxurious, sweet and tender and laid on top of a layer of avocado and slices of cherry tomato.. it was to beautiful to eat.. and delicious. We also ordered the branzino - by the time the order came ... we just ate the branzino by itself without the rice and tortilla as we were too full. Branzino was excellent, crispy fresh and juicy. Highly recommend!Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, with premium ingredients. If you are a seafood lover, I highly recommend Holbox.
