It was late Saturday night when we found this place via Yelp. It took awhile before someone took our order. Once we did, the food came out fairly quickly. The appetizers were delicious. I ordered the Beef Gyudon ramen. The broth was hot, perfect for the weather. This is the first time I've had this type of broth. I found it light and flavorful and the noodles were springy. I enjoyed it very much. I tried a piece of the chashu from my hubby's bowl and it was quite tender and flavorful. I would definitely return here if I am in the area again.

Dined in for the first time on Friday, 2/21/25. Here is what we thought: Rating 5 as the highest. Service- 4.5Food- 3Ambiance- 4We ordered:- takoyaki- spring rolls- karaage-gyoza- house ramen-chashu ramen-gyudon- fried chicken bowlThe ramen noodles was different, thicker than what we are used to. It was nice that they were different but then some noodles were stuck together. The broth was very different from other ramen. I thought it was good though. It had spinach which was different and I liked that it had bamboo shoots. The one thing I noticed was that the bowls were small. For the price, the portions were on the smaller scale. The gyudon for $17 I thought was on the higher side. The staff were nice but there were only 2 of them and I do want to say that they remained efficient and friendly. The karaage reminded us of chicken nuggets. It didn't have that authentic Japanese batter we are used to. Gyoza was just ok and the fried egg rolls were also just ok. We always find parking in the plaza which is great. They also updated the restaurant from when it was Palms Ramen and we liked the new look better. Not sure if we would go back but glad we had the opportunity to try.

Hinodeya has finally made it to LA from SF. They offer a house ramen which features a broth made of dashi. Along with other unique dishes like a vegan ramen.I ordered their house ramen and found the broth to be lighter... a nice change from the heavier tonkotsu broth that is everywhere in LA. The noodles are thick and wavy and perfectly cooked. And they give you two large pieces of pork and a jammy egg.My friend ordered the spicy miso ramen which was also quite good. The wait staff is very attentive and polite. And there is a option to order off of a QR code using your phone.Overall this seems to be a healthier option to most of the other ramen places out there. But doesn't seem to sacrifice on the flavor or quality. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality too.I would say it's on par with Afuri but not as fancy as Ramen Nagi.

Really flavorful broth. Small place and very friendly. And parking is chef's kiss. My personal preference to elevate it further would be thinner chewy noodles, smoky taste infused, one whole boiled egg instead of half, and some bean sprouts and green onions.

Hinodeya takes over the spot of the former Palms Ramen, and we're lucky they did. Hinodeya serves up ramen in a different style, with an umami dashi base, versus the heavier pork based broths typically served with ramen. The result is a lighter and more delicate ramen that allows the noodles and toppings to really shine through. It's different, but definitely worth a try.

I'm giving 3 1/2 stars because the staff was very nice and hospitable. The ramen is good...not great. I think there were more ingredients than actual broth. On a cold night, I guess it's an option, especially since it's open kinda late. Better than when it was Palms Ramen but I don't see myself craving it. Also ordered spring rolls and they were also lackluster in flavor.

I'm soooooo tempted to not leave any review but I shall do so for THE PEOPLE!!!!!This place is THE BOMB. So I'm super into the ramen here because they have a lighter broth that's clear for most or all? of the ramens. That's usually not what you expect when you think of ramen. Most people are only familiar with the pork bone broth (tonkatsu) but I find that it's usually too heavy for me. And that's why some of my friends said they didn't like the ramen here but for me??? I'm in love. I've only had amazing experiences here and the staff is so friendly! There's a parking lot but it's shared with Trader Joe's so be careful when parking. Their parking lots are notorious for being crazy. Also they have table side ordering and payment so it's super quick and fast! I suppose...you should check it out...just hoping I'll be able to get in when I want to

Have been 3 times so far. I like their house ramen, the spicy miso ramen although I request it with minimal spice since it's hot , and the gyoza and chicken Karaage are very good. Also like the freshness of the ramen noodles. Service is excellent. They also serve vegan ramen too which I will try next. Really worth trying. Appreciate they play jazz which keeps it relaxed and inviting. Prices are reasonable for the high quality.

Hinodeya has a few locations in the Bay Area. I've been wanting to try it in the Bay Area, but never had a chance to - so when the stars aligned one weekend and I noticed one opened HERE in SoCal, I jumped at the chance to try it!I love seafood, so of course I had to try the Hamaguri/clam ramen. Not a lot of ramen places have a seafood ramen, so I was ecstatic to try it. It was full of flavor and I loved the taste of the clams and the broth. Service was OK, they basically just dropped it off and left me alone.Parking is atrocious since it's in a plaza with a popular Trader Joe's. I can't see myself coming back to this location sadly, because the parking is just that bad. I will have to try locations in the Bay Area.

Came here for dinner one night, and surprised by how empty it was. I was a bit wary, but once the ramen came out, and I had my first slurp of the noodles, I was calmed! The noodles were nice and chewy, not too thin. The broth was full of flavor and not too oily. The portions were also very generous! The service was very quick (we were only one of three parties seated). All in all, this rivals Afuri (also a ramen shop in Downtown Culver), and I am very happy to have stumbled upon this shop! Easy parking (free lot), so there's no stress :)
