10/10 - Amazing Sushi & Experience!Hikari Sushi is hands down one of the best sushi spots out there! The all-you-can-eat sushi is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Every roll is made to perfection, and you can really taste the quality. The service is top-notch--friendly, attentive, and fast. The atmosphere is fun and lively, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal with friends or family. If you love sushi, this place is a must-visit. You won't regret it! Highly recommend! Get there early since there is a long wait due to how amazing this place is. Best thing when someone has a birthday, The whole restaurant celebrates with music and disco lights. Ton of fun.

Hikari Sushi - Five Star Omakase of My Heart!I come to Hikari Sushi for little sushi. I leave with big happiness, full belly, and deep respect for sushi master-san and most glorious waitress, Lesley-sama!First, I sit down. Immediately, Lesley appear like ninja--POOF! She bring water before I even thirsty. She smile, but I know... she watching me. She know my sushi destiny better than I do.I order big sushi boat. Lesley nod. No hesitation. She approve. I feel honored. The sushi arrive. It is masterpiece. If sushi could talk, it would whisper, "Eat me, but with respect." I bow my head before first bite. The toro melts like butter made from ocean dreams. The unagi? So good, I almost cry. But real samurai do not cry... unless wasabi sneak attack nose.Lesley return many times, like friendly sushi spirit. "Everything okay?" she ask. I want to say, "No, everything not okay... because I will finish sushi soon, and life will become empty again." But I stay strong. At end, I leave tip so big, even koi fish in pond outside whisper, "Sugoi!!!"Five stars. Ten stars. Infinite stars. Arigato, Hikari Sushi. And arigato, Lesley-sama! I will return like wandering sushi ronin seeking more deliciousness!

Hikari Sushi has always been one of my favorite spots in the area. It's usually packed on weekends, so I decided to visit on a rainy Wednesday at 4 pm, and to my surprise, it was empty. While I'm not typically a fan of all-you-can-eat sushi, I do love a good bento box.I really appreciate all the choices they offer for the box. At $21.99, you can add two extra items, and I chose the mixed tempura and a California roll. They paired perfectly with the miso soup and salad. We had a new waitress who mentioned she had been working there for two months and was still learning about the rolls my guest was asking about. She took the time to check for us, and it was so sweet to see how dedicated she was.On top of that, they have a great deal: 50% off rolls to-go and 30% off happy hour rolls for a la carte orders during the week.

We were in the area and thought to give this place a try, and it was very satisfying to have found a new place that met our expectations (it is so hard to find good places now a days). They do give you a choice of "all you can eat or to order an à la carte, we went with the all you can eat option and it was great! The place is very busy, but the staff was on top of everything, making sure its a great experience (thank you Sarah). As far as the restaurant, its a very casual dining room, with everyone having a good time.

I brought a friend here because of the huge number of ratings and high score on Yelp but was ultimately very disappointed. A huge menu of options but nothing really stood out. We had things brought to our table several times that weren't ours and had things of ours brought to other tables. Then, the server just moved something that had been at our table for a few minutes over to the other table... which is not sanitary at all. Our first round we had ordered plenty of nigiri and some rolls and appetizers but they didn't bring a couple of our orders and brought things that weren't ours again but combined on the plate. We got a lot so it was hard to see in the moment but later we were like "where is the yellowtail?" Lol. They had a free ice cream macaron sandwich thing and it was not flavorful and came out rock hard, I had to wait a few minutes after attempting the first bite unsuccessfully. They offered to comp it if we wrote a Yelp review, so maybe they have been handing out incentives to get their review count up. Ultimately, we figured the existing high reviews are due to location--perhaps the clientele here really don't mind low quality sushi because they haven't had better sushi or been to higher quality AYCE places. I would not come back or recommend this place if you are looking for quality fish or nigiri / sashimi. The rolls were very mid and I think my favorite bite was the takoyaki which I'm pretty sure they just fry and it comes frozen from some vendor. The eel was just okay. Also, they include gratuity on the check, but when they present it to you afterward have another line for additional tip with no mention of the original gratuity. I managed to see it in time but I don't appreciate when businesses are not explicit with the tipping scheme. Asa, our server, filled our waters but was not necessarily attentive and seemed to not notice any of the errors going on. At the end some other individual came and gave us a stern "6 minutes warning"... we had not taken any bites of food for 20 minutes and had ordered plenty. He could have just said "hey wanted to check in and see if we wanted a last round or if we needed the check?" There was nobody waiting outside and plenty of tables so weird to be artificially rushed just because we were still chatting. I almost forgot that the restroom is absolutely disgusting and smells like a truck stop or gas station bathroom that has just been ravished by a bus full of campers who haven't showered since they left home. There are two locks on the stall and neither of them work. Service: lackluster, Quality: poor even by AYCE standardsAmbiance: extremely loud obnoxious tables next to us, and screaming children nearly the entire time we were there. Total for 3 AYCE came out to $140. Not worth it in the slightest, and won't be returning or recommending unfortunately.

Ordered delivery from ChowNow. Ordered 24 pieces of salmon sushi to go. They gave me 24 pieces of something I couldn't recognize. I had to call and wait for a while for them to start a replacement which is fine. But I came in to pick up my replacement salmon... no one said anything and just rudely dropped the replacement on the table. I was never rude, but could someone at least acknowledge what happened or say anything?

If I've been coming for 5+ years and this place is still in business they are doing something right. Still think this is the best ayce sushi restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. While a bit pricer the menu is extensive and the service is top tier. One of the worst things about ayce spots is bad service but never had one bad experience here. Our server was Lesley R and she was great constantly checking in on us bringing drink refills and asking if we wanted the next order in while still eating. She was great and very kind. She offered good recommendations on what to eat and she's been here awhile. Every time I come this place is non stop busy and there's a reason why. My go to rolls are the new items such as the Agua chiles roll. Very great concept with fusion it works. Best seared salmon in the valley as well. Restaurant has indoor seating only. 50% off on all to go orders.

Our kids enjoy fresh sushi. It's one of their family rituals to go out for sushi often. We have been to their prime go-to spot with them before and had a good experience. This time, they offered to take us a new-to-us place that they go to occasionally and discovered during COVID with take-out. We met them there the evening of Dear Hubby's birthday. While not full, they were starting to get busy. They want everyone on your party to be present before seating, which given how busy they stay, makes sense. The ambiance is on the basic side. This is a place to come and eat, and the food is the main event. Not a lot of distractions for interior decor. That being said, they also enhance the atmosphere by occasional lighting effects when it's time to celebrate a birthday. They don't burst out singing, but they dim the lights and have a dance club lighting vibe. The first time it happened I thought we were at the bowling alley when they drops some lighting effects at different times of the evening. For adults on Friday/Saturday nights the present All You Can Eat pricing is $36.99. That includes miso soup / salad if you want them, plus single rolls, cut rolls, specialty rolls, sashimi, and more. It was handy to open the menu on my cell phone so that I could read up on the ingredients for the various options. I can't handle too much spice, and jalapeno is a no-no for me, so the online menu was really helpful to consult! The reason I'm going with four stars instead of five is that it is very noisy inside. There are a lot of hard surfaces in the dining room, and not much fabric or other softening options like dividers. It's a big open room and sound travels. It was hard to have a conversation among our own table, and difficult to hear the servers, as well. For the noise reason, the way that you order is to mark up a paper menu that lists just the names of the various items. Your server then picks up the menu when you're ready, and takes the order to the kitchen. As four of us were ordering at the same time, they brought large platters with multiple rolls on each platter. Our granddaughter was also with us, and she had (and devoured!) a kids' bento box with chicken teriyaki and lots more.Standouts for me with the Candy Cane Roll and the Giant Roll. Anything with tempura or crunch was also very good. They offer a number of options without rice, to reduce the carb load.AYCE is really not ideal for me - I don't eat like that anymore. I'd be better off with ordering their half price-to go and splitting a few things with DH. Apparently, this same company has a location in Simi Valley, so we'll have to try it closer to home.We did have a fun time with the fresh sushi, the dance club lights coming and going, and watching our granddaughter devour her dinner. She's usually a picky eater, so that was really amusing. We appreciated our kids treating us for Papa's birthday!
