Loved this pizza spot, may be my favorite pizza EVER- it is just off melrose ave so we decided to stop in while walking around and shopping. We just got one burrata slice initially and were so impressed that we decided to try two more slices immediately after! The pizza crust bottom is so perfectly crispy and it holds its shape very well. While it is simple at first glance, the sauce and cheese are the perfect balance of sweet, acidic, and salty which makes for a perfect bite every-time. The burrata also adds a delicious layer of creaminess too. The spicy margherita was just as good! They heat up the slices when you order and it only takes ~5 minutes to get your food. They do have an off-menu option for detroit style pizza that seemed intriguing, but we didn't end up getting that. We also tried their house made ranch which is like a citrus zesty ranch that paired well with the pizza, but it doesn't need it at all - especially since the ranch is a bit more expensive at $2 a cup.

Amazing pizza, definitely my favorite in LA! The cashier and the pizza chef are both very nice. Some seating inside. I love that I can grab by the slice - I originally wanted only one, but I ended up buying another because the first one is so good.I would give the spicy marg and vodka pizza a 5/5! I added burrata and hot honey and it tasted amazing. I will be thinking about this for days and will definitely be coming back

I finally found it--a by-the-slice pizza joint in LA that's worth the drive! As someone who grew up on 99-cent slices in the Boston suburbs, raised a son in a best friend's Sicilian-owned pizzeria, and spent 17 years as a Yelp Elite, I don't make pizza recommendations lightly. But Heirloom Pizzeria has earned it--and then some.We stumbled across this gem by chance during a Melrose shopping trip that never happened. Parking nearby, I was drawn in by the simplicity of the place. Zoey, one half of the husband-and-wife ownership team, welcomed us and walked me through their options. I honed in on their bestseller: a cheese slice with vodka sauce. My son--a pretty famous YouTuber and most feared cheese slice purist--opted for both their regular cheese and pan-style cheese slices. Then it happened. You ever bite into something that triggers old memories from your childhood? Could be cotton candy, caramel apple, or that hang nail on your big toe. You just vanish into an old memory. One bite, and I was back in Methuen, Massachusetts, tasting my first-ever pizza slice. I could almost hear the arcade sounds of Pac-Man and Defender when games were just a quarter. The vodka sauce cheese slice wasn't just good--it was transcendent.I turned to my son for his verdict. His standards for a good slice are ruthless. His reaction? We both ordered another slice on the spot. The vodka sauce cheese slice is hands-down the best cheese slice I've ever had in Los Angeles. It may not be strictly traditional, but it stays true to its old-school roots while offering a slight twist that elevates it.Zoey and hubby have created something truly special. The ambiance is understated, but the flavors are unforgettable. This isn't LA-fancy with Peking duck or Jerusalem artichokes (those have their place); this is about pure, simple, East Coast-style pizza done to perfection. There are few places in LA that can pass my blind test for by-the-slice cheese. Heirloom Pizzeria is at the top of my list.I will gladly make the drive from Marina del Rey just for this.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a quick place to grab a bite. They sell slices!!! My favorite is the bbq chicken pizza because I am a CA girl but really all of their slices are good. The ranch is more like a lemon aioli but still tasty. Service is fast and the people that work here are kind. Don't forget the hot honey!!

The absolute best pizza experience I have had. The thin dough had the perfect crunch. This has to be an all time top 10 pizza joint in LA. Surprised the food reviewers haven't blasted it yet. Dave Portnoy said it had a flop. But that was not the case. It was super firm. No flop. It had the most perfect crunch. He gave it a 7.6 ehhhh. 8.8 more like it!

Not special. Maybe the slices are good, but not a pie. Veggie pizza is scant on the veggies. Looks nothing like online photos. Not worth $26 for 12". Crust was good, but...

Really good pizza. But can't get over a 50$ pizza. In LA where everything is expensive, this place goes above and beyond cost wise. Just crazy It's very good. The mushroom pizza was fresh. Quality all around. But in this city , with so many great pizzas , no need to break the bank here.

Hands-down, Heirloom Pizzeria is the most delicious pizza you can treat yourself to. A must try on Melrose Blvd. You won't be disappointed. I always get the chicken barbecue or the pepperoni . Each pizza is always made to order individually by hand . With the freshest ingredients and a crispy thin crust . I've been coming to this place for the last four years since they've opened. Always greeted with a smile and taken care of with the friendliest service. This family owned pizza joint is so welcoming. You can dine in and hang out inside. Or take your artisan pizza home and enjoy in the comfort your own home. Zoey and Osher are truly wonderful human beings . Thank you for sharing your love and passion of food with the rest of us.
