Oh my goodness where to begin! First of the actual place is amazing- the theme, design, the look and feel. It's a whole calm and quaint vibe in there. Think western/southern meets dark vibe. The service is great- always able to find us a spot no matter the day- busy or not. Super helpful and great servers. Food was amazing. We've had the gnocchi, oysters (pictured), sticky date cake- all amazing and SO tasty! Pricey but it's a great spot to wow someone.

We started our evening with drinks at the Old Man Bar (separate review on that), then we were seated for dinner. This was our first visit at the recommendations of friends and neighbors. Our server requested that we order everything at one time, which was fine as we knew what we wanted. We started off with the cornbread, and it is as amazing as everyone says. It was served piping hot, smothered in honey and butter and with some spiciness from the shisheido peppers. Genius. We also had the pickle tray, with a delicious assortment of pickled vegetables, including cauliflower and green beans. The Fried Green Tomatoes were good, and I liked them a lot, but boyfriend thought they were not as good as the ones at the now defunct K-Paul in New Orleans. We split the Elk and Pork Chops, and both were great. I was surprised at how much I liked the elk. It was not gamey at all, and it was cooked perfectly with a brown butter and bacon sauce and basalmic vinegar. Outstanding. It was served with green beans. The pork chops were tender and juicy, and also very good, served with a salad.Prices for the bottles of wine are not bad for West LA, and we ordered a bottle of Zinfandel to wash it all down.We enjoyed our meal a lot. I liked how they have mismatched plates that look like they came from your grandmother's house. The service was good, and the food was outstanding. This is an expensive place, but not unusual for this side of town. They did not add an automatic 20% tip, so maybe they stopped doing it? We tip 20% anyway, so it doesn't matter.I want to come back for brunch.

Came here a few times, all for work or industry events. I really like this place! Let's start with the parking. There is street parking, but it gets a bit hard to find. you'll be lucky if you find metered parking when it opens up at 6 PM. Otherwise, your other options are neighborhood parking around the corner, which I haven't had much luck with or valet, which you have to pay for. The place is pretty big, both indoor seating and expensive outdoor seating. I like the ambience with the string lights, the indoor outdoor space,Their private room is really nice too!For food, the cornbread is definitely a hit. If you're not gonna order anything much, you definitely have to order this! Super buttery and melts in your mouth! Their gnocchi is also one of the best dishes to get although after a few times I kind of got bored of this. Their salads and ceviche are also really good! Drinks can be a bit pricey, but it's like that everywhere these days. They have some unique concoctions, but wasn't as impressed with their wine selection. They had a lot of sour wines that I was a big fan of so will definitely stick to the cocktails

This is a vibe and great for a date night. The service was great and they actually have parking, which is rare for this part of town. It's valet but plenty of street parking too. Plus $1/hr and free after 6pm wins in my book for the street parking with meters that take both card and coins. For the food, everything was tasty although the veggies were on the salty end for me. The favorite for me was the ricotta toast that was well balanced. And surprisingly the toffee date cake was amazing and our table's overall cave since it wasn't overly sweet plus the date flavor is so nice in this.Only thing if I had to find a negative was there were only two bathrooms and it always seemed to have a line even when everyone at our table went at different times, hah.

Fantastic Southern influenced restaurant in the area! Their cornbread is INCREDIBLE. Worth coming and sharing a number of their entrees and fantastic cocktail selection. But what makes this place stand apart is also how incredible they can make a vegetable. Typically an after thought for fantastic meals, vegetables here are consistently done right. Often seasonal, Hatchet Hall keeps me coming back.Good service, neat ambiance with patio and indoor seating and one of my favorite speak easies the old man bar is there too for a night cap!

The restaurant has a spacious atmosphere with a great ambiance, making it a perfect spot for a date or a night out with friends. All dishes are shareable, and some highlights include the hamachi ceviche, the cornbread, and the pork chop. However, the baked potato gnocchi missed the mark--its texture was too mushy and fatty, making it difficult to enjoy more than a few bites. For dessert, we tried the salt toffee cake, but it was overly salty and overwhelming.Valet parking is available, along with street and residential parking options. Making a reservation was easy through their website, and we were seated right away.

The ambience was relaxing and cozy like a lodge in the mountain during snow season. Love the cleanliness of the bar, spaciousness of the restaurant, the attitude of the staff, very upbeat. The drinks were absolutely delicious and our bartender Jim was friendly and fun to joke with. I'd highly recommend this establishment for a hang with friends or family gathering, there's something for everyone on the menu.
