We loved Haru!! We were visiting Los Angeles for my friends birthday and we needed a good late night food option and we decided to try Haru. I'm so glad we did! The restaurant itself is so cute. I'm a big fan of anime and all things "kawaii". The restaurant fit that vibe for sure. It had a bright and cheery feel to it. There was k pop playing in the background and cute figurines on shelves. We couldn't help but enjoy ourselves there!The food was not only delicious but beautiful too! It was like art on a plate. We weren't expecting everything to be so pretty ! To top off our already amazing experience at Haru, our server overheard us talking about it being my friends birthday and at the end of our meal they surprised us with the cutest piece of matcha cheese cake. They even stopped the music to sing him happy birthday. It was adorable, and made us all feel special we really appreciated it. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town and highly encourage anyone curious to give this place a try.

Oh my gosh, Haru Sushi is such a gem and I hope their business takes off. They serve sushi with a thai take and izakaya. Their menu consists of something for everyone, I can definitely see myself taking my non sushi loving friends here too because of their decently sized izakaya menu. First off the interior, it's so cute! Small but not too small, highly reminiscent of ramen and sushi shops in Japan! It has a cozy family vibe. I believe the owner was who helped served us the night we went, he's so funny and made our meal so enjoyable. I haven't had such a great experience with a restaurant in a long time.Now the food...! Amazing all around, I have nothing bad to say about anything because everything was sooo good. The sauces were unique and interesting but pairs so well with every dish. It's not overbearing either, I know you wouldn't want to overdo it on the sauce because the fish quality is insane here (they cut their fish in house, in fact they were still cutting it at 11pm while we dined). My favorite has to be the bluefin toro... the cut was so fatty you can see that it's practically already melting like butter on the rice. Other highlight of our meal was the yellowtail carpaccio, I've never seen pomegranate used in sushi but it made it even more citrusy and refreshing. They kindly upgraded up to the belly cuts too, we felt so spoiled dining here omg. Another one of my favorites was the chicken skin skewers, I hate when it's crispy like a rock- but here they make it just the right amount of crispy and still chewy and soft on the inside- soo perfect.The Sashimi plate (I think that's what we got 25 pieces) was a good deal and the every single piece was like heaven. We definitely splurged on our meal but it was my friend's birthday we had to go all out. I also got him the a5 wagyu which he said just melted in his mouth! The miso salmon crab too was really good with that miso sauce...Literally dreaming about the meal I had at Haru every night, I wish I lived closer but as someone who's had all kinds of sushi, omakase, upscale, from NorCal, and different states (I've worked in omakase before too) Haru have made in my #1 list. Their portion sizes are generous too! I will definitely be coming back.

Extraordinary sushi bar with a staff that treats you like family the moment you walk in the door. With traditional sushi choices plus extra special dishes like Godzilla tacos served with the highest quality toro - this place is a hidden treasure! Made with only kind of high caliber fresh rare toro tuna I've only had in places such as Nobu on previous occasions to be exact! Plus a crème Brule dessert that would impress Julia Child - it's that delectable! Easy parking inside the lot in the center of this mini mall on Hollywood Boulevard. Fun party vibes plus happy hour specials daily. Thai Town sushi exists! I haven't ordered anything in this establishment that hasn't been delicious. Eat here asap!

First time at this new restaurant and I had a delightful experience. I ordered the mystery box and it was so amazing! All of the fish were fresh and yummy and most had some kinda delicious light dressing over it. The blue bass (I think that's the name) was a standout, the monk fish liver was very nice, and the rolls were pleasantly very refreshing! Definitely highly recommend the mystery box! The owner and staff were all super attentive and friendly. And the ambience is cozy and fun! I think it's just a matter of time before they become super popular, so go and give them a try before they get too busy!

What a fantastic new addition to the area! Haru is nestled in a prime plaza filled with other beloved spots, making it a must-visit.Though it's only been open for a little over a week, Haru is already on track to become a family favorite. The Kushiyaki was outstanding--there's a noticeable difference when cooked over a proper binchotan charcoal grill.One of the standout features is the complimentary appetizer offered to every table, with a generous selection to choose from. The mystery omakase box was a real highlight, both beautiful and delicious, with the Hokkaido scallop being a personal favorite. They also serve authentic A5 Wagyu from Miyazaki.Overall, the atmosphere is inviting, and the food is excellent. I'll definitely be back.Parking is available in the shared lot or at meters along Main Street. Currently, they're open until midnight, with plans to extend hours to 2 a.m.--truly a proper izakaya experience!
