What a gorgeous view! This is a fabulous spot to watch a spectacular L.A. sunset. Harriet's is located on the rooftop of the 1 Hotel, and its style is "old-fashioned cocktail lounge." It's a beautiful rooftop with lots of plush seating and my party had great service on a weekday around 6pm. Sometimes they have a DJ as well. I enjoyed the cocktail menu and small bites. They have tasty shu mai dumplings and the sushi rolls are delicious. I had a very potent SPICY SIENA cocktail made with 818 Blanco Tequila, Lime, Fresno, Agave, & Cointreau, shaken and on the rocks with a Tajin spice rim. This is also a really nice place to have a small party of friends for a celebration. Just make sure you reserve in advance. The only complicated thing was getting inside. A couple members of my party were lost so I actually had to go downstairs to guide them to the elevators. If are waking in from the Sunset Blvd., I don't think you can reach Harriet's from the Sunset Blvd. street entrance. You have to walk past it, look for a sign on the left that points downstairs to "Harriet's", then go down a level and enter through the rear lobby of the hotel. Or park at the 1 Hotel valet (entrance is on the east side of the hotel on Sunset Blvd.) below and walk directly into the lobby; at the far left you'll see the 2 elevators next to the lobby restaurant. A receptionist will be waiting (after 5pm) outside of the 2 elevators that will check if you have reservations (in my case she even called her manager) and then lead you to the elevator which takes you up to the rooftop. So it definitely is a good idea to make a reservation. There's a fun Photo Booth on the roof where you can take pictures with friends. Check what time the sunset is before you go, because it really is a spectacular view if you can catch it.

Cocktails are over 25$. And it was a can drink with a a slab of cucumber in a glass? POV is what it is called. I call it Piece of Vulture. Rooftop was super hot around 3-6pm because the plastic canopy around it kept the heat in. It was super stuffy and sweaty in the middle of the day during early Feb. I saw pictures of this place and thought they will open the plastic canopy but they didn't ??? So weird Folks were not let in too when we came in to celebrate friends' birthday which made it difficult and noticed a lot of the seats were too hot to sit in and also mostly reserved with one there. You can find cheaper fee parking along the south of the property but it is a hike. View is breathtaking after for a few minutes on the rooftop. Finding this place was a challenge but I asked the hostess at the lobby and directed me to the right direction. There are no maps to find this place. Didn't try the food but i probably won't try it since i see people with empty items on their plates and most of folks just standing around wandering.

Is this place gatekept?I found this spot by happy accident, by the grace of serendipity. I'd never heard of it before, which is surprising because I try to keep my fingers firmly pressed on LA's social pulse. Being an Elite Yelper kind of requires it.It's inside the 1 Hotel in Weho, which is a treat for the senses--especially if you want a vacation fit for Dr. Pamela Isley (Poison Ivy).We were guided to the 1 Hotel after I met a staff member at another hotel. I asked for a "swanky" place, and they led us here. After entering, we walked through the hotel's inner grounds until we were directed to Harriet's. We found a host stand with a woman and a man. It was my friend Lorraine's birthday, and appropriately, she had a huge balloon and a bouquet of desert flowers. However, the hosts didn't want us to take the balloon and bouquet to the rooftop spot; it was policy, a policy we couldn't break. They wanted us to go back to the lobby, check them in, and then return to take the elevator to Harriet's Rooftop. Ugh. I suggested we leave the balloon and flowers near the host stand, but they were concerned about theft. I thought, if someone wants to steal balloons and flowers, then fine; they probably need them more than we do. But still, we weren't allowed to.A nearby guest agreed we should check them in, so I spotted another hotel staff member and asked if he could check in the items and bring us a ticket for claiming them later. He agreed, and I tipped him ten bucks. All was said and done. But honestly, this is a flaw in Harriet's service. For the price and setting of this joint, I don't want to be walking around, checking in balloons and flowers--I want service that prevents any interruption to my good time. I hope they address this by having someone assist with checking in items that aren't allowed at the top. When we arrived, we were denied a spot in the main dining room and were directed to the bar. My friend L-- got a seat, and I took the space next to her. There wasn't a seat for me, though. There could have been, but fellow patrons didn't want to shift seats to make room for me. Tiresome, but I get it--no one is obligated to move.I spoke with the host at the top, and they were able to get us a couch in the center of the space. The view, as many would say, was the stuff of dreams. I could see the LA skyline, the Hollywood Hills, and all of LA's lights. It was terrific. I wish I could remember the host's name--it was something like Kadravia. My bad. They were dressed in all black with a light blue cropped sweater that had a cape. Sorry, I can't be more specific.I also want to praise Brooke, our server, who made the night grand! She recommended the umami tots and shumai, and everything was delicious. I felt the experience was worth every penny. We had lemon drop shots, some signature cocktails, and even a vodka shot on the house. Every element came together to make the night memorable, making me glad to be alive. As a spoiled Angeleno, I can't deny the gratitude I feel for nights like this. The fare, lights, service, and sparkle all blended to infuse my life with joy.At the end, we were given complimentary cookies with coconut milk. Thank you, Brooke! Thank you, Harriet's, for allowing me to breathe in luxury and delight and exhale an appreciation for the whimsy that can be found when I enter my night with an open heart and mind.Still, you need to update your balloon and flower policy--that interrupted my flow!

This restaurant has a beautiful view of Hollywood and the ambiance was very nice. The food was good, not great. I ordered the sushi bowl. It took our server forever to take our food order. Then our server forgot to put in our appetizer so we didn't get that until after our food. I would go there again to give them one more try based on the view/vibe.

Stopped by for a friends birthday. We were greeted downstairs by a host who was kind of shocked that we were a 9 top with no reservation but they were able to find us a great table. Ambiance is through the roof. You get to see the gorgeous LA skyline, which enjoying your craft cocktails. The cocktails I tried were great! Priced appropriately for the venue. Definitely would make a romantic date night. I want to come back and try their food next !

The main thing that stands out is the dj playing ... that specific Saturday night it was 2000s music with a variety of hip hop, r&b n more... beautiful view when dining... The menu offers dishes that are more like appetizers. Very small but also tasty. Drinks were pretty good It was hard to flag down the waiter and they weren't too busy... Overall it's a good spot but I think I can find better

I came in with low expectation - just thinking that this is a place for just the views and not the food and i was pleasantly surprised that the food was still good. I wouldnt come here for the food only but if you want something more than just drinks, the food will still satisfy!Tater tots with spicy ranch - exactly how it soundsChicken bolognese - it was a very simple tomato sauce, tangy, slight sweetness, acidic. The pasta and chicken was cooked well and i finished this plate completely. Reminds me of a home cooked meal.Short rib french dip was delicious. The soft tender meat slices with the crispy onions gave a wonderful combination of textures. Then soaking up the bread in the savory dip took it to the next level.Artichoke flatbread was the wifes favorite and she keeps bringing up wanting pickled artichokes because of this flatbread. Service was decent, nothing to complain about and nothing to praise either.

Don't let the sad picture of my prosciutto flatbread fool you I am a Harriets Stan! They have one of the best of views of downtown LA from anywhere in the entire city. Yes the cocktail waitresses don't wear very much clothing, but the service is fast. The cocktails are amazing and the sunset is so beautiful. If you can, when making a reservation request a window seat it will take your breath away. this is one of my favorite bars in LA. They always take care of you. They always try to accommodate any request you have the menu is rotating so every time you come in they will have new dishes this place 9 out of 10, even though my flatbread was on this particular visit, I have been multiple times and the food has been amazing. Definitely worth the hype.

Ambiance: BeautifulOne of the best spots to take in a great view of LA, especially if you're looking for dressy vibes.Service: PoorThe service left much to be desired. The staff seemed to put in minimal effort while maximizing charges for customers. Despite the hostess mentioning it was a "dead" night, we were informed of a minimum charge per person, even though we weren't a large group. Additionally, they restricted elevator access unless you opted for table service, citing a "very full night"--despite there being only a handful of occupied tables and an open bar on a Saturday.Parking: Hotel parking/streetTips: While the venue itself is stunning, there are definitely better options available on the westside.

Cute spot for drinks on a rooftop. Valet is very expensive $18 for 2 hours and $26 for 2 hours and 10 minutes. Maybe more worth it if it park somewhere else or uber
