Stopped by for dinner and drinks (happy hour).... The drinks were delicious. Shout out to the bartender who recommended the henny sidecar, that was definitely the drink of the night. The shrimp and crawfish Etouffee was absolutely amazing (chefs kiss). The seasoning and flavor was perfect, with a small kick to it. I literally wanted to go back and order it to go just so I can have more. The garlic fries are good (happy hour menu only). It's valet parking only for $10 unless you park on the street (read the signs). It was a nice ambiance, dim lights, music playing in the background. I sat in the bar area (first come first serve seating) and yes they have TV's in case you went to watch a game. This place is good for all occasions (date night, happy hour with friends or a large group for a celebration). Give it a try!

We had Friday night dinner reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. The host was very friendly and even suggested sitting in the bar area for the ambience. Our initial interactions with the host, bartender, and waitress were pleasant. The bartender took our drink orders, and when they arrived, they were absolutely delicious.Our waitress was helpful in suggesting popular dishes on the menu, and we decided on the seafood combo and pork chops. When the food arrived let me tell you it was fire. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection.Unfortunately, the service took a turn for the worse after our food was served. Our waitress never returned to check on us. We had to go up to the bar for another drink and flag someone down just to order dessert which never came out. After waiting, we had to flag down another waitress just to get our check and cancel the dessert order. When we asked for a small box to pack our leftovers, they took our plates and threw our food away!It seemed like they were short-staffed, which was disappointing, but the food itself was outstanding. If they can work on their service, this place would be top-tier.

Southern Food is delicious. Service has always been great.It's a nice restaurant i always dress up to go because it's a special experience.

A really nice place in an unexpected area.I was pleasantly surprise to find out that the ownership/recipe goes back many decades and I can see why people would keep visiting. There were only 3 of us so we couldn't try everything but the H&B Shrimp Scampi, Jambalaya and the Seafood gumbo hit the spot! And even the desserts were tasty We left w/ a full stomach and a smile. I would highly recommend a try.

We sat in the bar area... PJ takes care of that whole entire area like a boss! He made great suggestions and our food was absolutely amazing. We had the red snapper plate with mac & cheese and a side salad a bowl of clam chowder and oysters Rockefeller...we had a couple of drinks and we were set! The bread though did I tell you about the bread oh my God, the bread is the most phenomenal, absolutely amazing! Everything was so good. I wanted to go back today.

I have to give this place a 3.5 I hate to say but the Mac and cheese was not good the greens just were ok. Large portions but not the tasty or well prepared.Service was ok. By the time she got her 3rd table she never came back. I had to walk up to the middle to ask for to go boxes and a check as I was ready to GO!They have a lot for parking but for valet only.

This is the place for creole food.They have been serving the community for decades.Great food service and the remodel is well done

In my never-ending search for good cajun food, we came across this LA staple, my expectations were high.I think most of the dishes we tried were good but just not IT, you know? I think if you're looking for fried food, this is an excellent place to come, but maybe the items I got weren't necessarily their specialty? We got the chargrilled oysters which were definitely overcooked which was a bummer, they were more oily than flavorful as well. I also got shrimp etouffee which was actually pretty good and flavorful - it's quite a large portion so you could 100% share this!I would give this experience a 3.5 but for Yelp I will star-up. I would try this place again but maybe a different dish or dishes?

Located near the USC campus, Harold and Belle's offers a taste of Southern comfort food, and a location to venture to if you're avoiding trendy eateries in the area. I took my mother here, as she had been eager to try it. The restaurant has an old-school vibe and tends to attract an older crowd seeking classic Southern dishes.We started with cocktails; I chose an orange pineapple drink that was strong but lacked the sweet pina colada flavor I was hoping for that was described on the menu. For our meal, we ordered a variety of dishes: oysters, crab cakes, fried catfish, red beans and rice, and sides of mac and cheese and sausage links.The red beans and rice were flavorful, but I found the mac and cheese lacking. It tasted like it was made with Velveeta, which as a mac and cheese connoisseur, I prefer to avoid. I enjoy a rich cheese roux with a blend of cheeses, so I'll skip that next time.The fried catfish was crispy and well-fried but could have used a bit more seasoning to elevate it. The crab cakes had too much batter and not enough crab meat, but the flavor component was there. The sausage links were a highlight, especially when paired with the BBQ sauce. Our server was friendly and welcoming but couldn't really recommend fan favorites when we asked, so we went with our gut and ordered some southern classics. Overall, while Harold and Belle's offers decent Southern food and vibe, it didn't quite meet my expectations for authentic comfort food. I may return to explore different menu items, but I'll keep my hopes in check.

Private room for 30 guests. Plenty of great food (Menu 1), attentive service, and comfortable ambiance. Family style dining enjoyed by all. All guests happily left with doggie bags. Would plan another large gathering at Harold & Belle's in the future.
