Great individual style hot pot place in Westwood! Everything is ordered from mobile and they have a wide selection of soup bases, add-ons, cold dishes and drinks. We ordered multiple soups including Sauerkraut lamb, Thai fusion, Mushroom and Golden beef. They give you good portion of ingredients (meat, balls, tofu, fish cake, different kinds of veggies and mushrooms). On the side there is rice or vermicelli noodle option. It is very filling! I am also pleasantly surprised by the drink. Ordered the Honey Kumquat Lemon and it pairs nicely with boiling hot soup to cool my mouth and reset my taste buds for the next bite. Highly recommend!

You order and pay on the QR code before the food comes out.- Tendon Meat 1.2/5Basic sliced cold meat, I would say below average. - Thai Fusion (Very spicy) hotpot 1.8/5Thought the soup was a bit too creamy for me. Almost tasted like a tom yum? A little sour but very very creamy. The very spicy is not very spicy. They give a lot of meat but a little seafood in this one. The rice was too mushy... Free 2 hr parking in the structure across!

My friends and I were craving hot pot and unfortunately West LA does not have many options. Luckily, we found Happy Panda and it did not disappoint. We tried making a reservation ahead of time for four people through Yelp, but the system was only allowing us to reserve for two. We decided to walk in at 6ish and got seated right away. We came at a perfect time because it got busy soon after. Ordering is super simple - there's a QR code on the table that you need to scan and gives you the ability to order individually. No need to worry about splitting the check. Water is also self-served. Our food came right away. We all ordered different dishes - Korean Kimchi, Spicy Beef, Fish Maw Chicken, and Szechuan Mala. My favorite was the Fish Maw Chicken even though I ordered the Korean Kimchi. The Mala was super spicy lol. But you can choose the level of spiciness you want. I'm giving it four stars because we never saw our server after they dropped off our food and we had already tipped since we paid upfront. It would've been nice for them to offer to refill our broth.

As soon the temperature falls below 70, my craving for hotpot goes up exponentially. While strolling through Westwood Village, we decided to stop by the hotpot spot formerly known as Northern Café and now it is called Happy Panda. Nothing changed inside of the diner, same layout and still with its mix of booth style seating and table.Even the ordering remained the same: through your phone by scanning QR code on the table. Through quite self-explanatory process.I ordered non-spicy seafood hotpot (you can choose the level of spiciness) and the food was delivered to your table in about 10 minutes when not busy. The broth is quite flavorful and the 1 person size pot is full of meat, seafood and vegetable ( you can add more toppings at extra charge). The little candle size fire can under the pot keeps the food hot until the end of your meal.Very nice meal overall.

This is a great place for soup on a cold, foggy day! There's plenty of seating when you go in at the right time, as we've always fit 5-6 people every time we go. I normally get the sichuan spicy hotpot, and it's pretty good! The portioning is variable, but it tends to be enough. My friends have also enjoyed their other choices ^^Pretty easy to order though, and the food comes out relatively quick. Nice service :) There's a parking structure nearby if you bring a car, but I normally just walk over with friends!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. You order and pay through a QR code, which is pretty easy to navigate. I got the spicy beef hot pot mild, and it definitely had a kick but it wasn't terrible. It was full of a bunch of different stuff, so you definitely get your money's worth for $21. It also came with a choice of noodles or rice (not a combo) which I liked, and I had some leftovers to spare. Overall a good experience and I'd definitely come back again!

This has become our new go-to "fast food hotpot". Most of the time we're seated within 5 minutes of arriving. I really like the spicy beef hot pot at level "hot". They give a generous amount of meat and veggies, and the broth is great! I would say Happy Panda is pretty comparable to Boiling Point in terms of flavor, size, and price. They also have good combo deals with their boba. We will definitely be back many more times.

Ate lunch here before heading back to the Bay Area. They are very similar style to Tasty Pot. The food was good and hit the spot. HoweverWe went in around the time they opened and no one came to greet us. We just found our own seats. They were also no one at the cashier. Even after we found a seat and the workers started coming out, still no one greeted us. We were told to order through our phones which we did. Normally workers would ask what drinks you would want but no one came to do that. We realized it was a self-serve water station and we went to get some but there was no water. One of the workers came out with a jug of water to refill it and didn't apologize, just kind of ignored us. Food was good but service was not it. The not-so-good service definitely makes me not want to go back... Maybe it was just an off day/morning for them but still... Overall Rating: 4/10

My first time trying hot pot, and it was absolutely amazing! The broth was incredibly flavorful, and the portions were generous--perfect for sharing or for someone with a big appetite. Orders are placed via QR code scanning, which made the experience even more convenient. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

I looooove love love this place. It's open decently late and the portions and taste have been consistent. I always get the Szechuan Mala pot flaming spicy and ask them to make it spicier. The ordering website can be a little annoying to use but it's not the end of the world. Lots of booths and tables as well as some outdoor seating. They have beer here as well. Servers are college kids but always has been prompt and polite. I probably eat here like every other week. A staple in our rotation!
