We stopped by on a Saturday just before noon and were seated right away--perfect timing! By the time 12 rolled around, a small crowd had started gathering outside, so it's definitely a popular spot. The food was absolutely delicious! The galbi tang was comforting and packed with flavor--I was so eager to dig in that I burned my tongue trying to drink the broth too fast! The octopus bibimbap was equally impressive, bursting with bold flavors, though it was a bit too spicy for me, but my husband loved it! Portion sizes were generous--we both ended up taking leftovers home, which is always a plus. Overall, a fantastic meal and a spot I'd happily return to!

Came here about 9:20 am on a Saturday morning and we were seated right away. They opened at 9 am. Service was friendly, definitely an authentic Korean spot that was frequented by a predominantly Korean clientele. My friend and I did not speak Korean but we were able to get by. The menu had pictures and description in English. The restaurant is not large but it had a cozy mom and pop shop feel. This was the first time I had Knee Bone Soup. It came white (authentic bone broth) and unseasoned. Sea salt was on each table for your own taste. The meat and tendons were tender. Very comforting indeed. I realized I had been here once before for dinner. It was quite packed then.

Very cozy and small place but perfect for soup and soup weather. We got the galbi-tang and it was full of meat in the soup. The broth was very good and the banchan sides were all very tasty. It included kimchi, mustard leaf, radish and others as accompaniments. The staff was very attentive and asked us if we needed any refills in the banchan.

This was probably the most authentic Korean soup spot that I've ever been to! It was perfect to have on a cold rainy night. Small parking lot, but it had lots of parking available. The restaurant is very nice and clean. Now to the fun stuff! We ordered the Spicy Octopus Bibimbap, mixed meat tang soup, and the beef rib soup. Omg why was it sooo delicious. I'm so hungry thinking about the soups and the banchans. Homemade flavors and service were great! Going to bring my mom here next time, she'll definitely appreciate this type of food for the soul.

Came here for an early dinner on Sunday night so thankfully it wasn't too full. All of the servers are nice Korean Aunties so has a really nice authentic feel. We opted for the classic kalbi tang and dol sap bimbimbap. The kalbi tang was clean and not oily, really good flavor! The dol sap bilbimbap came out piping hot, the rice got super crispy on the bottom. The toppings were so delicious, one of the best dol sap bimbimbaps I've ever had! There are only a handful of ban Chan, kimchi, picked radish, kimchi greens and kimchi radish. The flavor was really good but wish they had other selections. Overall really nice dinner, the flavors were so good and we will be returning!

Han Yang Restaurant in Buena Park is the kind of place you almost drive past without noticing--but trust me, don't. From the outside, it looks like a simple diner, but step inside, and it's bright, clean, and ready to serve you food that feels like a warm hug from a stranger who somehow knows exactly what you need. The pork cutlet (tonkatsu) is thick, juicy, and fried to golden perfection, with a crisp crust that pairs perfectly with the tender meat. The galbitang (beef short rib soup) is rich and comforting, with a clean, flavorful broth. Adding extra green onions, a micro scoop of white rice, and a shot of kimchi juice from the side dishes turns it into a bowl full of bold, satisfying full flavor. A pinch of salt ties it all together beautifully. The bibimbap, served in a sizzling hot stone bowl, is fresh and hearty. The perfectly cooked egg and vibrant bouquet of ingredients create a satisfying dish that hits every craving and texture. And with portions this generous, I was thrilled to pack up leftovers to enjoy later--it's the kind of meal that keeps on giving. The banchan round out the experience, with tangy kimchi and crunchy pickled radish offering sharp, bright flavors. A standout is the thinly sliced jalapeños and another item in a soy sauce-based marinade (jangajji), adding a spicy, savory touch that complements the meal. I could drink this juice. Han Yang focuses on honest, straightforward cooking. The food is hearty, satisfying, and memorable, leaving you with the kind of comfort that lingers long after the meal--and maybe even into your next one.

This review is long overdue. I first tried Han Yang during quarantine, and it didn't disappoint! Today, we ordered the ox bone soup and the spicy beef soup, and both were absolutely delicious. The ox bone soup was so rich and comforting, with tender meat that just fell off the bone. The spicy beef soup had the perfect kick- spicy enough to warm you up without being overwhelming. The side dishes were fresh and flavorful, and the staff was attentive throughout our meal. The food was prepared fairly quick. The restaurant has a super casual vibe. Parking is hit or miss, but honestly, the food was worth it. If you're craving authentic Korean soups, this place is a must-visit!

I got the beef short ribs and they were divine! Tasted so fresh and yummy! Reminds me of my family homemade soups. Very good! I love their radish kimchi. It's a bit of a wait since it's a small restaurant.

Hanyang provided an excellent dining experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I tried the donkatsu and seolleongtang, and both dishes were flavorful, comforting, and well-prepared.The donkatsu was perfectly crispy on the outside with a tender, juicy pork cutlet inside. The sauce that accompanied it was tangy and rich, complementing the dish without overpowering it. The portion size was generous and satisfying. The seolleongtang was another highlight, with a light yet deeply flavorful broth that was perfect for a chilly evening. The thinly sliced beef and tender noodles added a hearty touch, and it was great that they provided seasoning options to adjust it to my taste. The service here was attentive and efficient. Our server made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal, from refills on side dishes to answering any questions about the menu. Even though the restaurant was busy during my visit, the staff managed to keep things running smoothly without making us feel rushed. The ambience at Hanyang is simple and welcoming, with a casual and comfortable vibe. The seating was spacious enough to accommodate both small groups and larger gatherings. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall experience.Hanyang delivered on both quality and service, making it a place I would happily recommend to anyone looking for delicious Korean cuisine in a friendly and relaxed setting. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

Beeeeest galbitang place everrrrr! Service is quick, ajummas are sweet, and the food is fresh and fricking amazing. My husband and I cant stop thinking of it. The yugaejang was yummy too but the galbitang was bomb. Banchan and kimchee all so fresh and top notch as well. Not the fanciest looking Korean restaurant but its clean and spacious enough.
