Originally, we wanted to eat at Dan Sung Sa, but the wait was over an hour. We started walking to find another restaurant and came across this one. Luckily, there was no wait. (We arrived around 7:30PM on a Saturday, too!) We ordered their most popular dishes: the pork neck stew and the pork spare ribs. We also ordered a bottle of soju. Service was quick and relatively attentive. The restaurant has a fun and casual vibe, mostly young adults who are also drinking. The food was AMAZING! The portions are HUGE, so we had leftovers for days after. I also enjoyed the barley tea and the banchan. The salad was sooo good and I liked the fish cakes, the pickled cabbage, etc. I preferred the stew over the pork spare ribs. The stew was sooo delicious and addictive. The pork spare ribs tasted very similar to Vietnamese pork spare ribs that you would find in a com tam dish, so IMO it was overpriced for what it was. I live in Santa Ana and can get those ribs for much cheaper lol. Our total bill (including tip) was $94, so it's on the more expensive side. I would love to come back to try the other dishes!

My family has been obsessed with this spot, especially my parents. This is the spot they bring anyone in LA when they're visiting, inexplicably to me (I only just tried this for the first time with them this week). There's $10 parking in the lot behind the restaurant (cash only). Their daenjang jjigae was delicious, the SALAD was amazing, and the pork ribs were sooooo good. This was honestly bomb and it was completely empty on a Sunday afternoon for a post-church lunch. Hard core food coma after!

I cannot stop thinking about my dinner at Ham Ji Park. The food was INCREDIBLE. I believe this is a pork specialty restaurant, so you have to order the pork dishes. We got their two best selling offerings: the pork neck stew and the pork spare ribs. The portion sizes are massive so this is an excellent place to go with a large (and hungry) party. The stew was divine. The pork neck meat literally falls off the bone. Eating this was a spiritual experience. There is a giant stewed potato in the broth that you can break up and eat along with the pieces of melt in your mouth pork. The spare ribs came out sizzling and had a beautiful charred taste from the grill. My favorite ribs are pork ribs and these did not disappoint. We ate the meal in relative silence because it was that good. We also noted that we were the only non-Koreans eating at the restaurant which is a good sign. Service was quick - there was plenty of banchan available before the meal and both dishes came out fast. I highly recommend dining at Ham Ji Park! Parking is a pain in this area but there are a few lots and street parking available.

Ham ji park is a good place to eat at, they have good meat, their classic pork spare ribs, side dishes, etc. it's a cozy restaurant with fair amount of seating & good service. You can park in the indoor parking lot or street park, but a good ktown fav!

I had a dinner at Ham Ji Park with some work friends on a Friday night around 7:00pm, and it was fairly busy but they had immediate seating available for 5 people. Only thing though is that they won't seat you until everyone in your party is present.I know they're known for their pork spare ribs, but the people I was with highly recommended that we also order the pork bacon (pork belly)...the regular one not the Jeju one. They were absolutey right. It's not just your regular ol pork belly that you would expect at a Korean bbq. The pork belly has some skin attached to it that makes it a little chewy...hard to describe, but it's just absolutely crazy amazing. Overall the service was good and we left dinner stuffed, drunk, and satisfied. The pork spare ribs were of course delish, but I would I definitely come back for the pork bacon...it's just so effing amazing.

My friend highly recommended this place, and it definitely held up the expectation! Their pork spare ribs is a MUST. It's so good that I actually prefer this over Kalbi. It comes out sizzling hot and on the sweeter side. I'm also surprise how well their banchan are too. They're fresh and the colors are so vibrant. The kimchi-jijae was also well flavored. We grilled the pork jowl and it was good too. You are paying for the quality for the food, and I think it's worth it. I recommend eating the pork jowl before the pork spare ribs. This place is medium size. Inside feels welcoming. There's street parking or valet for $10.

Remember that scene in Ratatouille where Ego takes a bite and it brings him back to a childhood memory? That's what happens to me every time I have the squid dish - my favorite, anywhere (except for my mom's house). The pork ribs ARE great too, as is everything. I appreciate that they haven't fallen into a newer trend of sweetening their dishes, which I can't abide. Ban chan is always on point. No qualms with the service. This spot is a must any time I'm in town.

This restaurant has both cooked main dishes and Korean BBQ. The grilling service was great. The waiter made the grill so perfect that it didn't burn and still juicy. I had the rib and the pork bone soup too which was really delicious and tender. The price is reasonable in Koreatown. Parking is valet at the garage ($5-10 depends on the time you go I guess) and the entrance is on Catalina St, not on 6th St.

Ham Ji Park is a Korean restaurant thatis known for their Pork Spare Ribs (Dwaeji Galbi) and Pork Neck Bone Stew (Gamjatang); Other traditional Korean menu items are available as well. The following was what I ordered: Their signature Dwaeji Galbi (Pork Spare Ribs): These were unbelievably delicious, and some of the tastiest pork ribs I've ever had! The charred savory meat was tender, yet still with a slight of bite to it; the flavors were garlicky, sweet, but not too sweet with a touch of heat from the gochujang marinade. Loved the nice caramelization/glaze on the ribs - it's comes out served on a sizzling plate on a bed of grilled onions. A must try! Ham Ji Park's known for Gamjatang (Pork Neck Stew with Potatoes), so we had to order it. The pork itself I thought was very meaty and super tender. The broth tasted of a hint seafood base of some sort, boiled down aromatics of garlic/onions, and thick of pepper paste, but NOT that spicy. A hearty stew! I would have loved more green onions and traditional perilla leaves to cut out the richness. Overall, I'd order it again. Must have with rice and/or Soju! Fermented Soy Bean Soup With Tofu, Veggies & Pork: Has a deep flavor from similar to miso but more pungent or smoky (in a good way). There are dried tiny anchovies in this dish. My kids enjoy it. Beef Kalbi: I would NOT order this again. Wasn't the best, however, in all fairness the waiter did tell me that they aren't known for "beef". We got it anyways and regretted it. Under seasoned and tough beef meat are what come to mind. Ban Chan (Side Dishes): I wish the sides were better. It would have been a nice option as palate cleanser to the heavy meat dishes we ordered. Instead, Ban Chan sides were either too salty or sour and their house salad was over drenched in dressing. Perhaps a fluke on this visit. Service was awesome and helpful! Instructions were given on how to reheat our leftovers and takeout -thanks guys. Also, the guys mentioned that Weekdays aren't as busy during early/late afternoon. Peak times are weekends and dinner service. Parking: Can be found along 6th street metered (good luck); or Parking structure (valet only) on Catalina and 6th ($5). I recommend the valet!
