Great date spot! I absolutely love the dark ambiance in here. Dim lights and house music playing inside while you get to enjoy your food and drinks! What we tried: dipping noodles, pork gyoza, pork belly bowl, and lemon sours!!I was really impressed with the the dipping noodles. It was so flavorful and large enough to share. The broth was super rich and tasty. The pork gyozas were crispy on the outside yet so juicy on the inside. The pork belly bowl was you typical pork bowl - the pork was juicy. We had lemon sours while we waited to be seated. Check in on yelp prior to arrival to be on the list! We waited around 25 minutes to be seated. The restaurant itself is very small and limited on seating. It is also a stand up bar waiting area all around the restaurant. I do think it is on the pricey side, but it is an experience to live and try. They have a parking lot, but it gets filled up.

Perhaps because I'm vegetarian, but I do find this place to be a bit overhyped. And I was quite excited to try it having heard so much about it! The service was great and very fast, and everyone was kind. The vibes are certainly what people come for - it's a great date spot for sure!. I did a gyoza bar to bar Bandini comedy show pipeline with a friend on a Wednesday night that worked perfectly. - Vegan gyoza (6 pc) (4/5): tasty, but nothing super special that warrants the hype this place gets. - Vegan rice bowl (2/5): i was told this had no sauce on it, so I was given a bottle of shoyu to add flavor. I thought this was quite odd - if I wanted to flavor rice myself, I would've just cooked at home! Ultimately this was mostly a bowl of white rice. - Plum cocktail (5/5): probably the best thing I had here. It was sweet and balanced, I would come back for this!Overall I'm sure this place lives to its name for the meat eaters, but it's severely disappointing for the vegans/vegetarians. It would be great it gyoza bar did a better job paying attention to those customers and making the experience better for us. I probably would only come back for a drink.

Cool speakeasy entrance vibe!Went right when it opened so it was pretty empty, service was fast since we were the only ones there.Gyozas were really tasty and fresh. Wouldn't order sushi again from this place and would just stick to the gyozas.

I visited this spot on a Wednesday night with a friend. It's a nice intimate restaurant, would be good for a date night! The restaurant is set up around a bar, so you're seated with other parties next to you. The decor is great, really adds to the intimate ambiance. They play some cool film and music. They have a yelp waitlist in order to be seated. again it's a small restaurant so the wait for 2 was around 30 minutes. The staff was really nice and the bathroom and restaurant was really clean. We ordered the salmon sashimi, spicy tuna crispy rice, and pork gyozas to share. The food was good but nothing special-- tasted pretty average. It came out to $65 for these 3 sharable dishes, which is pretty steep. We did have a lot of gyozas leftover though. I would visit again really for the ambiance if I'm ever in the area.

The hubby surprised me on a Friday night date a little bit before 7pm to gyoza bar and it is a vibe!! It's located in echo park and there wasn't much street parking in front and so we drove to a parking lot a few blocks down and paid about $1.75. We walked a couple of blocks and were greeted right away. Now I hadn't heard of the place so didn't know what to expect but it is very intimate ( very red dim lighting) and minimal seating.. maybe like 14 or 16 spots all facing the bar. So we got a corner spot for 2. We each ordered the cucumber mint yuzanade ($13 each). The flavor was good but I wish they had of been stronger on the alcohol!! For food we ordered the umai salad ($12), a 3 piece crispy rice with spicy tuna ($9), and a 20 piece order of pork gyoza($35). Loved all the flavors! Those crispy rice spicy tuna were delicious and the gyoza filled us up after about 14 of them lol. The staff was energetic, super friendly and attentive! Around the time we left people were standing in the back waiting for seats. I'd definitely say come around 630 or to get a seat since there's no reservation but you join the waitlist. Definitely looking forward to coming back!!

I surprised wifey on a Friday night at 7pm with a trip to Gyoza Bar. It is a perfect date night spot!! It's located in Echo Park, we drove to a parking lot a few blocks down and paid about $1.75. We walked a couple of blocks and were greeted right away. Inside, the decor and space is very intimate (low red dim lighting) and minimal seating.. maybe like 16 seats or so all facing the bar. So we got a corner spot for 2. We each ordered the cucumber mint Yuzunade ($13 each). The flavor was delicious, but I wish they had of been stronger. For dinner, we ordered the Umai salad ($12), a 3 piece crispy rice with spicy tuna ($9), and a 20-piece order of Pork Gyoza($35). The crispy rice spicy tuna were delicious and the gyoza filled us up after about 14 of them. The staff was attentive, energetic, super friendly. Whenwe left people were standing in the back waiting for seats, it had filled up quickly without us realizing. Joining the waitlist as soon as possible is key. We arrived around 640p, so we were able to sit with no issue. Cannot wait to visit again!

I was in the area waiting to ride the swan boats and decided to check out the Gyoza Bar in Echo Park...so glad I did! It's such a cute, cozy spot, perfect for a date night. The drinks were amazing (seriously, so good), and the gyoza were delicious. The music and atmosphere were a vibe! I was able to walk in and order because they had a standing bar while you wait for your table, which is pretty cool. I'll definitely be back!

This restaurant had a great environment and even better food! The exterior was adorable - it looked like an actual bar with a little gyoza sign. The interior was even cuter, with almost a futuristic feel because of the video screens playing in the background. The service was super fast. Since all the seats encircle one bar, it was really convenient to place orders and receive food. The food was so delicious. I tried both the pork and vegan gyoza, and every piece was packed with flavor. There was so much juice inside, and the gyoza was cooked to perfection. My absolute favorite dish was the Tsukemen Dipping Noodle. The noodles were chewy, and the sauce was tangy. I could not get enough of the warm, slightly zesty, slightly spicy dipping sauce. It had such a unique flavor profile.I will absolutely be returning for more gyoza and the dipping noodle! Both were phenomenal.

Semi hidden gyoza bar, there is a main lobby inside where you can join the waitlist or order Togo if necessary. We ordered: - vegan gyoza- pork gyoza- pork bowl- salmon sashimi - lemon sour My fav had to be the vegan gyoza which is actually surprising....my least fav was the lemon sour.Service was good but not amazing? Manager was super nice but the other workers were kinda whatever. Parking is on the backstreet by the houses, rarely any street parking because the area is popular for restaurants

I waited about 2.5 hours to dine at this restaurant, and due to the long wait, I ended up eating my meal in the standing area. While I explored a variety of dishes from the menu, spending around $90, the food didn't quite meet my expectations, and the electronic music playing wasn't to my taste. Overall, it wasn't the experience I had hoped for.
