Service great.Food really good.Prices super inflated. My husband and I each had 2 drinks. One appetizer, shared a steak (basic NY,) and a pasta dish =$300!!The crudo and the bread were excellent. The NY was super chewy, I didn't eat about a quarter of it because it was way too fatty. Disclaimer-I typically order filets. But I was shocked to see a non-wagu filet for $130!! This is shocking when I can go to so many amazing LA steakhouses (Blvd, Boa, etc) and get a filet for about half that.We also got the Orecchiette which was very average. My husband had had it before and loved it but said it was completely different this time.Highlights- I loved the knife presentation and the chocolates to end the meal.I would only come back if it were some sort of business dinner that I wasn't paying for. There's just so many equal or better restaurants in the area that are more affordable.

I think the steak here is pretty good, with a good sear leading to juicy tender flavors. My favorite part about this place are the sides that came with it. I've never had more enticing potatoes in a steak house. Their duck fat potatoes are a must try. I also ordered the shallots, which was different from the usual. I've been to other places where the alcohol and the drinks are phenomenal. I didn't have the same experience here with what I had ordered, but it gets the job done.

Restaurant was easy to locate, they have valet but if you park in the neighborhood it was easy to find a spot and it was free. Our server was amazing, he was very attentive and was great! This place is definitely a great spot for a date night. The star of the show was the steak, other than that everything else was mediocreFlat iron wagyu steak 5/5! The best wagyu steak I've had. It had the perfect amount of fat where it melts when you bite into it. I would definitely just come back and order only the meats at Gwen.Black truffle pappardelle 4/5. They shave truffle on top and the pasta was very creamy. It was very delicious! The dish is SUPER small, I would say it could be finished in 4 bites. I only had about 4-5 pasta pappardelles in my dish and I don't think it is worth $55! Hiramasa Crudo 2/5. The sauce was tangy and good! The fish however was not up to par. They dice up the fish and it had a fishy taste to itRoasted mushrooms 2/5. Nothing special, I would order a different side dish

I'm an absolute sucker for tasting menus so we opted for the tasting menu at Gwen. Overall it was a solid experience, but I definitely want to return for their regular/a la carte menu. I feel like only a handful of other diners were also doing the tasting menu. Everything that came with the tasting menu was delicious--it's a solid sampling of what they do. The presentation/plating was done fairly well and service was also excellent. It was also priced pretty reasonably at only $130 pp, but Gwen seems to specialize in steaks so I definitely want to come back and just order a full steak next time. Overall pretty solid tasting menu that's priced reasonably, but I'll have to come back for the regular menu.

Food 4/5Seevice 5/5Ambiance 5/5Hubby and I came here for a romantic celebration and Gwen was a meat-lover's dream. Sure it's a michelin star restaurant, but... I couldn't justify valet being $40 and water being $14. Nonetheless, I received my husband's kind gesture to treat us out for a special occasion. The smoked trout roe and dry aged rib eye was good but I didn't think it was worth the $300+ price tag lol. Gwen was definitely an experience though. You walk in and it feels like you're immersed in a meat museum and you see chefs firing up your meat in the oakwood grill. Similar to Camphor, before you slice your meat, the waiter comes with a chest box full of eclectic knives for you to choose your own knife of the night. Every time you leave your seat, someone comes to fold your napkin & organize your outerwear, and etc. The hospitality is great, but the food & valet isn't as amazing as the $$$$ lol.

Honestly my best Thanksgiving restaurant experience. Everything was delicious from start to finish. Hilariously had a water menu from different regions. Great ice breaker. The carrot soup with onion jam and chimichurri was so delicious, it was gone before I remembered to take a picture. The salad with the brown butter dressing was probably the best dressing I've ever had. The main course was so large that I was struggling to finish. But the confit turkey thigh??? I can't even begin to describe how good that was. I don't usually gravitate to turkey...but I would eat that all the time. Usually skip bread since it's filler, but I couldn't help myself with these rolls. So good. Pies were a delicious way to end the night, but I was already stuffed at that point. Service was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. And the beautiful lighting allowed you to intimately focus on your partner. Can't wait to come back again!!!

Gwen - A Culinary Experience Like No OtherUnbelievable. That's the word of the night at Gwen, and it barely captures the magic of our evening. This was not just dinner; it was an unforgettable experience, made even more extraordinary by the presence of Michelin-starred chef Curtis Stone himself. The AtmosphereGwen's ambiance is nothing short of stunning. The decor strikes a perfect balance between romantic elegance and industrial cool, creating a space that feels both intimate and modern. The open kitchen is a showpiece, offering diners a front-row seat to the artistry and precision behind every dish. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a casual evening, Gwen provides an inviting yet sophisticated setting that's perfect for any mood.We indulged in a thoughtfully curated menu: * Beef Tartare Buckwheat Crêpe, Smoked Aioli, Herbs: A delightful combination of flavors with a presentation that was as glorious as the dish itself. * Smoked Trout Roe, Seaweed Worke, Whipped Crème Fraiche: Creamy, fresh, and absolutely delicious--an elevated expression of elegance on the plate. * Cavatelli, Beet, Goat Cheese, Pistachio: A creative and intriguing dish that stood out. Its unique flavors took us by surprise, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. * Baby Artichokes, Fava Beans, Za'atar, Capers: A beautifully executed plate, bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. * Hanger Steak, Creekstone Farm (10 oz): While the steak was well-prepared, we found ourselves wishing we had ventured for the wagyu. The meal concluded with dessert and drinks that were nothing short of spectacular, adding a perfect note to our evening. This was a special night as we celebrated my boyfriend's birthday, and Gwen went above and beyond. Chef Curtis Stone himself graciously toured us through the restaurant and even took time to pose for pictures with us--an unforgettable touch. The staff, led by our incredible waitress Tonia, was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. To top it all off, they gifted us a signed book from Chef Stone, making the evening even more memorable.Gwen is not just a restaurant; it's a dream. Every time I pass by, I feel a pull to step in for a drink or explore their connected butcher shop. I already can't wait for my next visit to experience another extraordinary meal. For a truly remarkable dining experience, Gwen is a must.

I came here last week in a small group. We had wanted to try it for a while now, so I'm glad that we finally got the chance to go.My group was seated in a corner away from the other diners, so it was a little quiet. However, the server never forgot about us and was still quite attentive. Starting with drinks, we ordered a variety of cocktails, each of them delicious in their own way. Unfortunately, I don't remember the names, but rest assured, they were absolutely delicious; you cannot go wrong with any of the cocktails. For food, we ordered the Crab Salad and the Beef Tartare to start. Both were delicious; this was honestly the best beef tartare I've ever had. For the entrees, our server recommended eating family style, so that's what we did. We ordered the Lobster Sorpresine, the flat iron, and the Dry Age Ribeye. For the side, we ordered the Duck Fat Potatoes. The potatoes were probably my favorite, I just wished it came with more because that dish was absolutely delicious, full of garlic and extremely crispy. The Lobster pasta was my favorite pasta ever, and that dish will likely haunt me for the rest of my life. The flat iron steak was the server's favorite steak, and he did not disappoint. I think normally flat iron is not considered a top tier cut of steak, but after this night, it definitely should be. However, the ribeye was disappointing; it costed the most out of everything we ordered, but it was missing that little oomph that you expect. with a dry aged steak, I usually expect a pretty funky umami flavor, but the ribeye was unfortunately missing it. On top of that, it was a bit tough; when I cut into the ribeye the whole table would shake, like in the SNL skit. For dessert, we ordered something that tasted like a banana pudding tart. We had ordered something else too, but I think they brought something else out instead that was a very rich chocolate. Both were good and a nice way to wrap up a good meal. The service here was definitely unique. The server gave great recommendations (wished he had suggested a different steak instead of the ribeye though, but he definitely hit the head on the nail with the flat iron). He recommended the lobster, and that was one of my favorite dishes. Before they bring the steak out, the server came to have us pick out steak knives, and gave a bit of background info on the knives. I have to say that was very cool, and I definitely googled the knives afterwards and am very tempted to buy one.Overall, it was a really great meal experience. I recommend this place to anyone who wants an excellent dining experience; just know that while this is a steakhouse, the steak is not the star.

Service: Genuine. Our server was so wonderful and sweet. He made wonderful recommendations for our selection for the night. Food:Dry Aged Ribeye - Perfect. It was seasoned well and the cook was perfect! I loved being able to glance over at the kitchen in the corner to see items being prepared.Asparagus Risotto - Best! I was hesitant about this item but our server highly recommended this to us. It was creamy and decadent which gave it the perfect mouthfeel. Duck Fat Potatoes - Strong. There was a strong herbal aroma to the potatoes. I wasn't expecting it, so it was a little off-putting when having them.On to my next adventure...

What an amazing night! Great service from Erica and wonderful recommendations throughout the night. We got sat out side in the cute little patio. Loved the privacy. Food was on point. Omg.. We got to try most of everything. My favorite was the charcuterie and the chicken liver mousse. Cocktails were great too. Erik recommended the velvet bee and it was definitely my favorite of the night.
