Great White

My first time at a Great White location was in December here and the experience did not disappoint. The restaurant is in a fairly busier part of Venice so would recommend coming earlier on a weekend. Me and my friend waited about 30-40 mins on a Sunday afternoon and walked around Abbot-Kinney (got coffee, stopped by a vintage store) in the meantime.The service was good, food was tasty and the ambience/atmosphere was fun, elevated but minimal and had an earthy homey vibe which I really liked. Would come again for a girls brunch or with a small group!

How have I missed this spot?!We got a few meals from here for our volunteer fire relief group, and each one was truly delicious. Particularly the lentil dish with fish or chicken and coconut curry was balanced perfectly and felt healthy. We also got breakfast and coffee a few times from here - everything was consistently great, and the staff was so nice and supportive. Highly recommend, and will be going in person myself sometime soon!

A great dinner time option in the heart of venice. I've never been let down during a trip to great white for 3 reasons: the food, the drinks, and the service. I usually like to introduce friends to this place because they have something for everyone. Whenever I bring someone new here I always just have the server recommend something based on the individuals taste. Each server i've had has been able to go in depth about the mene; you can tell they take pride in making sure their staff has a breadth of knowledge about the establishment. Proud to say that I have tried every dish on the menu and my hands down favorite is the truffle fungi pizza. Their pizza portions are incredible for the price, especially in LA. But most importantly you taste each ingredient individually but can easily appreciate how they all compliment each other. My favorite drink and must try is the oaxacan white negroni!Cant wait to come back and bring more friends.

Absolutely love the vibe here! Friendly service as well as great food and drinks. I visited Great White to catch up with a friend - we walked in on a Saturday morning and waited about 30 minutes for a table. We liked everything we ordered and our server was super helpful. The restaurant is in a fab area, walking distance to the beach and right in the edge of downtown Venice.

The set up is calming, it gives relaxing vibes. The host was super friendly, she sat us outside with our dogs. I shared a pepperoni pizza with my fiancé, he was disappointed in the size of it. I was perfectly full with three slices, but he could have easily had the whole thing to himself. The pizza was super yummy, from the spicy pepperoni to the perfectly toasted brick oven crust. ($28) Overall you're paying for the scenery in Venice, but u do recommend to try it out.

I really enjoy coming here mainly because of the great vibes and friendly service. I love the water and since it is close to the beach, it has become one of my favorite restaurants to visit before or after getting in the water. During my last visit, I got a Breakfast Burrito, which included scrambled eggs, scallions, chipotle aioli, Oaxaca cheese, chives, bacon, tater tots, and salsa. This was so good that I took my time with it and savored every bite. For drinks, in addition to water, I got a Michelada. It consisted of the great white lager with the housemade mix. These were certainly so tasty and I always enjoy a nice, cool, refreshing glass of michelada. Parking was very close by and the staff was kind enough to let me leave for a bit to feed my meter. I always have a wonderful experience coming here and highly recommend it to everyone!

I've passed by Great White countless times, always wanted to give it a try. However, the long lines discouraged me. Last week, I finally got the chance to visit on a weekday midday when there was no wait.The food was good--I'd give it a 4 out of 5. We enjoyed most of the dishes, but we were not into their Bolognese pasta. It was unevenly cooked, and the sauce had some unfamiliar herbs that didn't quite work we couldn't finish it. The highlight, though, was their Michelada made with their original beer--super refreshing!The vibe is very Venice Beach/Abbot Kinney 2020--a bright, airy, whitewashed aesthetic. Service was LA friendly.Would I go back? Maybe, but only if I happened to walk by and there was no line.

We were able to get a seat for breakfast during the week without a problem! My friend rates the breakfast burrito as one of her favorites in LA. I had the smoked salmon plate and absolutely loved it. Everything was so fresh and I loved making my own perfect bites. We shared the banana bread and I still think about it to this day! Perfect texture and flavor.Can't wait to go back!

Let's begin with the theme, Great White where everyone and everything was tranquility as opposed to being attacked by a shark. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is great. They are efficient in their service. I was in Venice for 5 days and I ate there 3 or four times. They even remembered me, in Los Angeles!!!I live Venice and spent some great times there in my youth, while it has gotten more upscale it still has a vibe.
