Granny's Kitchen

I was in the mood for some good soul food and Granny's Kitchen didn't disappoint. I ordered the dinner, which comes with one meat and three sides plus two corn bread muffins. I chose the baked chicken, two sides of mac and cheese, yams, and some peach cobbler for desert. The bake chicken was seasoned to perfection and was so tender it fell off the bone - 4.5/5. The max and cheese was nice and cheesy, creamy, and had the classic flavor I was hoping for - 5/5. The yams were sweet and sticky - 4/5. The peach cobbler was really good. I loved the amount of crust it had in it - 4/5. My only issue was with the corn bread. One piece of the corn bread was over cooked, the second piece was perfectly cooked - 3/5. The customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is located in a small stipe mall with minimal parking. I will be returning to try additional menu options.

Fall of the bone meats, soothing sauces and rich flavors all across the board. Eric continues family tradition at this 10 year old LA staple that is continuously busy. From pig feet to savory greens and turkey you'll be returning for more. Unassuming to some but you'll soon come to know that that's often where the best food takes refuge. Everything behind the counter is steaming still and soaking in the sauce and seasonings kept secret by years of family tradition. Support our good people and good friends here! Excellent customer service by all staff members.Great Prices. Soul Food In the hood. Keep up the excellent service in the hood. Enjoyed my turkey chops,corn bread, black eye peas. Will be going back

Not one thing is bad here, people, vibes or food. I can't even show you my plate because unfortunately it didn't make it home. I got the red snapper dinner that comes with 3 sides, in which I chose collard greens, yams, and mac n cheese (my favorite in that order) and 2 cornbread muffins. Fish is crispy and made fresh to order, collards greens are sweet n tangy, yams are sweet with cinnamon and nutmeg on point, and mac n cheese is cheesy. And thank you lord the cornbread isn't dry! Behind the counter were 2 of the sweetest ladies! Tip them when you go because that food is made with love! Scheming now to figure out when I'm coming back!

Food was mid. I was expecting better based on reviews from others. Maybe it was an off day, but the oxtails were chewy and not fall off the bone which I'm used to when my mom makes them. The Mac and cheese was real peppery and I didn't like that. The cabbage and customer service was good though. Thts why im giving 2 stars. Not worth the 30 dollars I spent

This is a must try. Absolutely everything is great! The service is friendly and the kool-aid is bussing. All items are fresh and hot. There is a great selection and as far as flavor this place is one of the best you can have. Please check them out.

Some of their food items are very good!! However, the gravy they smother the pork chops in is horrendous!!!

This place is mid not impressed came here on a Saturday one time it was closed for no reason. Decided to give them another try another day and was not impressed at all. They don't even be having a lot of options. There's a place by them I forgot the name that is much better and has better customer service. The person who runs their IG page and Google reviews are very rude. You should be inviting ppl to have a better experience not trying to argue and so rude things. ITS ALSO DIRTY!

I've gone back a couple of times for the pig feet. Once it wasn't available and this last time it was horrible!Not cooked all the way through; it truly needed a couple of more hours. Why wouldn't you just let your customers know it just wasn't ready to be served?!AND it was served without any gravy; dry as hell.I won't be back for anything. I just went on Monday, 9/16/24

I enjoy coming to Granny's Kitchen, the food is always good to me. And take a day or 2 to finish. My favorite is the neckbones with rice and gravy, black eyed peas, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, meatloaf, just to name a few. lol The staff are nice and efficient, I cut up with Eric each time I see him there, he's a nice guy btw. I'll definitely be going again and again.
