You know the show Cheers--where you walk in and everyone knows your name? That's the vibe I got from this place. Not for myself... lmao, since I was new here, but you can tell that everyone knows each other, and it's just a really friendly environment to be in. I felt totally safe, even though I was one of like three girls there, and honestly, everyone was super nice, super friendly, and sarcastic--just the way I like it. It was easy to feel comfortable and even easier to want to come back.They have a really solid beer selection, but the real winner is their cider--it's 8% alcohol, which is insane for a cider, but hey, I'm not complaining. They had the hockey game on, which I definitely appreciated, and they also have a pool table where you can write your name down to play. Not sure if there's a charge for that, but either way, it's a nice touch.They're open pretty late, and while the location doesn't have a bunch of other bars or spots around, the upside is tons of parking--which I totally love.Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely recommend checking it out and maybe even making some new friends while you're there.(If you go in, tell the bartenders, I said hi)

Wow! Gold Rail Bar is such a hidden gem. The moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed. It has such a warm vibe and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The fireplace adds to the ambience. This place underwent an ownership change in October 2023 and is under new management. It's your classic friendly neighborhood dive that serves up expertly crafted cocktails at budget friendly prices.The bartenders are fantastic! Especially Alex, who is friendly & engaging. I specifically came here to support my girl, Johanna. She was doing a guest bartending shift. An added bonus was also seeing Alex and my buddy Juan (who also works here). In honor of National Margarita Day (2/22) Johanna created some specialty cocktails featuring Tromba Tequila. I started with a Classic Margarita. It was absolutely perfect and made with fresh lime & agave. The bartenders here make everything from scratch. No bottled mixers, which is how it should be. For dessert I had the Espresso Martini (Tromba Cafeto, Tromba Reposado, & Cold Brew). It was my first time having an Espresso Martini with tequila, and it was delicious! Perfectly balanced and not overpowering.During my visit I had the pleasure of speaking with the new owner, Sung. She was darling and she genuinely cares about her establishment, staff, and clientele. We had a great chat and she told me that she's thinking of adding a dart board and possibly a Pac Man tabletop. Most importantly, she wants to make sure customers have a memorable experience. I can honestly say that it absolutely was for me!Even though it was a school night I couldn't leave without doing a shot with my favorite crew. A Mexican Candy shot (Tromba Blanco, Watermelon, Agave), which was another delicious creation that I thoroughly enjoyed. This may have been my first visit to Gold Rail Bar, but it definitely won't be my last. I love, love, love this place! And, it's dog friendly too! If you're looking for a place that'll turn your boring day/evening around, this is the place to be! I just moved back to Glendale this week, and this pub is a gem. It's right around the corner from where I used to live, within walking distance.Last night, I decided to refresh my memory and walked over after dinner. We randomly walked into Karaoke night, and it was perfect. We had no idea what we were in for, but we ended up staying until close! That's how fun and amazing it was. We drank, we sang, and we made friends.Juan and Alex treated us so well! They were attentive and hilarious, loving how I was singing in Spanish and my Russian boyfriend too. A beer fell and broke, making a mess, and they immediately helped clean it up and replaced the drink. Super generous! The bartenders are super nice and funny, adding to the great atmosphere.The place is super clean, including the restrooms, which are up-kept and well-stocked. We overstayed our visit because of all the mingling. Thank you for your hospitality. Just know we will be regulars here, so make space for Boris and I! :)Oh, and the drinks don't drain your pocket! They mix great, and their beer selection is amazing, making it my affordable getaway. Thank you!

My beautiful friend and sissy, Nikki B invited me to this fabulous spot that is a stones throw from my apt. What an absolute treat!I enjoyed getting hammered In a cozy bar environment where everybody is just hanging out drinking and..... brace yourself.....talking! Yup. Good old fashioned drinking and talking not staring at phones. I forgot the gentleman's name behind the bar but he was so kind and accommodating. Can't wait to come back!

Drinks are good, they have a great beer selection! Service is super friendly! The ambiance is very chill and relaxed. Karaoke on Thursdays is a great time

Best bar in Glendale. Not even a competition. Good beer selection, great mixed drinks, killer service, best crowd in the city.

Amazing service and great beer selection. Staff makes the best Cocktails in Glendale and you have to try their micheladas! They always have events throughout the week so check their IG to stay updated.
