Gio Cucina Napoletana

We have continued to have dinner on Sundays about once a month at Gio Cucina. Because we were visiting a friend in the hospital on Valentine's Day, we came here last night. We were delighted to see the restaurant and the wonderful deck/patio still decorated in pink and red with roses on every table.The servers welcomed us back and we had a lovely dinner. Hubby had the Duetto which included yummy chicken meatballs and the wife had her usual salad and take-home pizza.We always feel special which makes our dining experience even better.

Was craving some Italian food one night and stopped by for the very first time. From the get go the staff was super attentive and, you could tell, very appreciative that we were there. A family-run restaurant that was obviously maintained with a lot of care and love. I had lasagna which wasn't too heavy and the perfect amount of flavor. Olive Tapenade? Sooo good! Could have eaten a whole jar of it. Chef came out and told us he could make pretty much anything we wanted and told us about the cooking classes they offer. Will have to come back and try one of those!

Can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Gio's is a staple in the rotation of the best dinner places in the Encino area and it is a super romantic place. The same staff have been there year over year sharing the specials with me and my family. It is a joy to eat at Gio's, no matter what you end up ordering. Suggestion: Get the Jake's pasta, star pizza and trio of soups. Go early! Quality food takes time and care. Plus, the staff will curate a great time for you and your guests. Skip: The agave cocktail, trying to find a spot in the tiny parking lot.So grateful for the feelings of pure bliss I experience every time I visit Gio's!

It was our first time here and had a great experience on the outside patio. Our server was very knowledgeable and informed us of all the specials and that we could also order any Italian dish not on the menu. We really liked the pasta trio, appetizers and dessert - however the pizza was so-so. I'd give it another shot. Would recommend!

Must go to for good pasta! Been coming here for years definitely my go to for Italian and soups comp wine. The employees have been here for a while as well so that shows in the atmosphere very attentive and has their routine. Pumpkin, mushroom & lobster / shrimp trio raviolis! Absolutely love this restaurant.

I got the trio of raviolis delivered. Really generous portions. And their house bread is great. The shrimp/lobster ravioli tasted a bit fishy, and the gnocchi in pesto was okay, but a fully holy god yum for pumpkin tortellini. Like ten stars. Just like a dessert pasta but not weird, if that makes sense. So so good.

I visit this place frequently and always have a great experience. The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. The staff is kind, attentive, and highly accommodating to dietary restrictions.

The most authentic Italian food Ive eaten since moving back from Italy. I had the Melanzane alla paramigana and my wife had a marinara pizza, we shared the soufflé with coconut sorbet for dessert as well. The staff was attentive and friendly and most of them are family. I felt like I was back in Napoli. The atmosphere was cozy and I enjoyed sitting next to the kitchen. Over all a great place for a date night or a family dinner.

This is a family owned business going strong @30 yrs. I got arrabbiata with shrimp and capuccino for lunch and it was amazing. It's the best pasta I've ever had in years. I love the ambiance here too. The free bread they serve was !! It's just the best I can eat it everyday If I could. Service is 5 star too! They're pretty attentive and fast. Thank you so much. I will definitely come back to try more food from the menu.

This was our first time to Gio's and we had the tris di ravioli and the special. Great service and menu selection.
