Giamela's Submarine Sandwiches

Sometimes I wonder why does this place have bad reviews?I mean everytime I go it's pleasant.And the food? The food is great! I usually get pepperoni pizza or cheese.The drinks are good. (Usually get a coke or orange bang.)Orange bang is very goodSo is the coke and pizza.Service is good! So ignore the bad reviews.This place is to die for!!(P.S. they have chips inside Like Doritos or Lays and they're good!!)

Atwater/Los Feliz sando 3-seater hole in the wall -- but also with two other locations (Sunland/Burbank). Their pepper steak sub is pretty damn good!Ordered their half pepper steak pastrami submarine sandwich. You get the chew grit of the steak, and the juicy pastrami glued together by an amazing au jus sauce with a bunch of toppings like chopped tomatoes, peppers, onions, etc. Good vibes reinforced by the juiciness of both meats collating together. For extra flavor, add a little marinara sauce.The square grandma's pie was surprisingly decent even though it looked to be prepped hours ago.Would definitely come back here.

Great food as always, rating the way I'm rating since their restroom is out of order, although I understand that sometimes restroom go out of order , the sign seems permanent. How can a well established business not have a restroom to use especially with all its foot traffic Please do better as a food service business

The phone service was great when I called to order. I gave them a quick call and within 10 minutes my order was ready. The woman I picked up my order from was super sweet and the feeling of the shop was very family oriented. The meat is delicious. The bread is delicious. The toppings of the onion, tomato, and pickles are perfection. This is definitely one of my favorite sandwich places in LA and it is a must try. I can't wait to have it again.

Giamela's hits you with flavor, heart, and portions big enough to satisfy any craving. The Pepper Steak Pizza slices are as big as your face, the soup comes out steaming hot the second you take the lid off, and the spaghetti, & garlic bread were the final touches to this culinary masterpiece. Their phone service to order was alright. Ambiance outside was peaceful, you can enjoy your pizza outside at the parking lotIf you in Los Feliz and ready to grub, bring your appetite and dive into this comforting, hearty spread. Giamela's knows how to do food that feeds your soul, and leaves you with a happy, full, satisfied stomach

Now that's what I could call a dangerous sandwich as it was just that intense!So they have a ton of options here for a good sandwich and of them I went with the Giamela's Special which was half pastrami and half like chopped beef like they both were awesome and huge like when I say huge I mean two can eat one of them here!The beef one was awesome it was full of flavor especially with the peppers inside and then the pastrami one was just the way I like it with mustard!The bread was awesome too as it was thick enough to hold up to these crazy sandwiches but not too overbearing just making for a yummy sandwich!Overall they have a ton of random things here I hope to get back here again one day as id like to try tienes pizza as that too looked just as yummy as that amazing sandwich!

I don't understand the hype with subway, jersey mikes and all the other chains when you can have the top quality meats at a family owned killer sandwich location. By far the freshest of any sub that is out there. The only caution I have is don't order the large unless you fasted all night or have someone to share it with .....

Solid sandwich spot. Came in with a friend after a few drinks at BigFoot Lodge which is a just a few steps away. Inside is simple, no frills with a few tables for seating. I got the Mrs G's and my friend got the famous Pepper Steak. So good! The sandwiches are loaded with meat and toppings. Although my friend said she would have liked more of the red pepper mayo. One sandwich should fill you up but we were being fatties and got some slices on the side. I got the Giamela's special. Definitely filling with lots of toppings. The slices had a nice crisp on the bottom, thicker crust if you're into that. My friend got the Hawaiian, meh not really my thing lol. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street meter parking up and down the block.

Humongous sandwiches for a great price. My buddy and I split a pastrami and pepper steak sandwich, and both were equally delicious. The amount of ingredients packed in the sandwich makes this well worth your money. This sandwich shop puts Subway and Jersey Mike's to shame, especially when prices are similar. Warning: if you finish the entire sandwich you may fall into a food coma while driving (jokes).

The turkey, ham, and roast beef sandwich is excellent. They are very generous with the meats. The sandwich was huge. I will go back again and again.
