Located in Diamond Plaza on Fullerton Rd. in Rowland Heights Garden Bistro is an Asian Fusion Hong Kong Style Cafe. The extensive menu has everything from steaks, seafood to chow mien and fried rice. It's very busy and even though our large group had reservations we did wait 15 minutes till they could get the tables put together. It was a family gathering during to holidays and the star of the lunch was my new grand niece. Can't give you a detailed description of all the different items that everyone ordered. The dishes that were within camera distance of my landlocked booth seat had a ribeye steak, scallop pasta, a breaded fillet of sole and a seafood bake over rice. The meal was good but the gathering is what really has the most meaning. Lots of take home boxes at the end of the meal. One knock, the tables are small so with every one ordering mains, appetizers, sides and drinks it was impossible to fit everything all at once. Service was ok. Parking is hard in the super busy center at meal time.

I love me some good HK brunch, and Gareen Bistro definitely delivers a fairly well rounded brunch menu with much variety. The servers are polite and responsive and the overall ambiance of the diner is comfortable (tho it can feel a little tight on space in certain parts of the diner). We got the chicken steak this time and it was so good, as it came with mushroom scrambled eggs, toast, and a hash brown. I removing a star tho as they serve their Hk milk tea not premixed (tea and milk come separately), so you have to do it yourself. Pretty cool in theory as you can adjust the milk to your personal preference before adding condensed milk, but this usually ends up in a rather lukewarm milk tea that just leaves me a little wanting for an actual hot drink.Quick heads up, I personally love coming to Diamond Plaza because there are so many other stores to check out but parking can be a bit hectic.

This is one of my favorite Hong Kong cafes to eat at whenever I'm in the area! The only nightmare is that the restaurant is located in Diamond Plaza. Parking can be crazy during the weekends, especially around lunch or dinner time. There is an underground parking garage, if you can't find a spot. Service is alright here. You kind of have to get the waiter's attention, since they're usually busy. However, they do attend to you quickly, once you tell them what you want. There's lots of tables inside.The menu is vast here. You have a lot of options to chose from, whether you crave Italian, American, or Chinese food. It might be overwhelming with the unlimited amount of choices, but they do have a top 10 dish menu. That's nice if you're underdecided on what to order. My favorite dishes to get at Hong Kong cafes is the baked sole filet in cream sauce. The first bite of hot and cheesy rice with some filet in cream sauce just warms my soul! Also, the seasoning of the baked dish is just right. Sometimes the rice can be a bit undercooked though. I do enjoy eating here, to come back again. I can overlook the service and parking, since the food is delicious here.

Our go to spot for delicious comfort Chinese cafe style dishes. We usually order the seafood udon with black pepper sauce, chicken and salty fish fried rice, ox-tail in red wine sauce, baked pastas and beef chow fun noodles with soy sauce (dry style). Ask for the chili oil tray which also has the soy sauce and red vinegar on there. We like the deep fried chicken wings, or pork chops and dip it in the red vinegar for flavor explosion. Honestly everything here is so good, we've been going to this restaurant before it moved to the Diamond plaza. Same owner and consistent taste!

We like Garden Bistro because it's one of my favorite HK cafes in this area. Their menu has a massive variety of fusion food to choose and they always have some new menu and special food available. However, we went to Garden Bistro two days ago and we were disappointed with their pan-fried spiny lobster with HK E-min in Supreme Soup. The lobster was small only about 3 to 4 small pieces of lobster meat and the lobster was not fresh. Also, we did not like that they used instant noodles to replace the authentic E-min (a specific type of noodle for lobster in supreme soup). We asked two different servers and they said that the chef used this kind of noodles. My point is they should not call this an E-Min and they should change it to instant noodles on the menu. It did not taste good. The instant noodles were a cheap and low-quality dish and they overcharged for $31.95. I won't recommend this dish. The dishes that we liked were the sea urchin udon with smelt roe, shrimp & scallops, and the Peking duck pizza. The udon was very yummy and the scallop and shrimp were fresh. We ordered the roast duck pizza every time because it was flavorful and delicious. I have to update my review from 5 stars to 4 stars because we were very disappointed with the lobster E-Min and we won't order that dish from there again.

There were so many different foods to choose from!!! I fell in love with their Spanish coffee. So I had to come back the next day just for it only. They add in a scoop of vanilla ice cream and when it's all melted in with coffee omg it's the perfect taste to me. The food was also pretty good but would definitely get something else next time. Our server was very attentive and the food was served quick for my party of 12. I would come again.

Ordered - Baked pork chop rice (3.5/5): classic comfort dish and was good but unfortunately not the best version we've had and was such a small, disappointing portion for the price they charged. Probably wouldn't order again unless I was really craving and didn't want to drive further - Beijing duck pizza (5/5): we couldn't imagine what this fusion dish would taste like but it was absolutely amazing! The flavors somehow worked together and the generous amount of duck on the pizza meant you could really taste the Beijing duck. The arugula on top helped balance the strong hoisin flavor that was part of the duck and just tied the whole dish together. Was really yummy and would definitely come back just for this!Overall (4/5): good food, kind of high prices, a bit of a dirty environment, service was fine but was ok overall.

Service is always slow and understaffed but, they're always doing their best. One of those Hong Kong café spot that has over 100 items on their menu. Anything I've ordered from here has always been great. They also serve beer!Restrooms are clean here.14. Prosciutto, Burrata, Arugula Pizza- always comes out pipping hot and fresh. Be careful not to burn the roof of your mouth. Prosciutto adds a deep savory almost umami flavor. 31. Baked Chicken Steak with Tomato Sauce- so good, one of my favorites. They crisp up the top layer of cheese perfectly. I always ask for the chicken to be over done to make the skin extra crispy. Tomato sauce has a great balance of savory and sweet. 46. Grilled Chicken Steak- is the same chicken they use in Baked Chicken Steak, great for those that don't like saucy dishes. Chicken is always tender. I also ask for chicken to be well done for this one and skin comes out extra crispy.32. Baked Spinach and Sole- perfect for that creamy sauce over rice or pasta. Fish always comes out flaky and tender. Its never came out over done. 39. Braised Ox Tail with Red Wine Sauce- very flavorful. I love pairing it with rice to soak up the sauce. Ox tail was very tender as well. 112. Minced Beef & Egg on Rice- kids love this! I love that the beef has a slurry and gives the sauce a different texture over rice.

They were so nice over the phone. Also, they were quick with our to-go order. The individual who rang up our order was kind enough to add soup to the order for my BFx2 at the last minute. The ambiance was love and clean. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy Cantonese food. I plan on going back.
