What a delicious surprise! These rice balls are a fast and filling option when you're swinging by Brand. I'm a big eater - two rice balls is probably sufficient for a meal, but I'm always tempted to wolf down a third. - 4.6 Beef Rice Ball- 4.5 Pork Rice Ball (some prefer pork to rice, both are delish) - 4.5 Unagi Rice Ball- 4.4 Spam! - Tuna Rice Ball (TBD)- Crab Rice Ball (TBD)PRO: - available on grub-hub and affordable. Any of the crab, eel or tuna options are probably perfect to throw in the fridge for eating the next days. CONS: - No eating in ENFORCED, despite counter and tables. But there's plenty behind the shop on ArtSahk.

The shop is located in a great place near the mall. Parking can be difficult at times as the area gets busy. The shop itself is a bit small and if I recall correctly, no dine ins. The service was quick and friendly. The tamago yaki and beef bulgogi was so good. The tamago yaki has the right amount of sweetness. The beef bulgogi was the right amount of sauciness. I am obsessed with the seaweed. I have not had any seaweed like this place and I want to know how they make it. You must come to try the seaweed and amazing food.

Gam Tu Bop serves the best rice balls around. The flavor and quality are consistently amazing, and I always go for my usuals: the mushroom, beef, and chicken. Each rice ball is packed with delicious fillings, perfectly seasoned, and the rice is always just right. It's the kind of comfort food that never disappoints. However, I do miss the indoor dining experience. They used to have a cozy space to enjoy your meal on-site, but since COVID, that's been removed and hasn't come back. While I get the necessity for takeout-only, the setup now is very unwelcoming. Everything is sectioned off, which makes it feel more like a quick grab-and-go spot rather than a place to relax and enjoy your meal. That said, the quality of the food keeps me coming back time and time again. I just wish they would bring back the indoor dining experience to make the whole visit feel more inviting. Still, it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

Love picking up a few rice balls on my lunch break! Vegan options are so delicious and well seasoned. It's always tasted fresh. 10/10 recommend this spot for a quick to-go food option.

Hadn't had Gam Tu Bop prior to this even though they have been around a while. I was starved and ordered several things. I had a bulgogi rice ball ($3.55) and this was the tastiest of the 3 rice balls i ordered. Tasty sliced beef with a good marinade. The chicken teriyaki rice ball ($3.15) was just ok. The meat was cubed up and a little dry. The unagi rice ball ($3.95) was decent but again, too many small pieces made it an easy fall-apart food.I also ordered a california roll ($3.25) and a spicy tuna roll ($3.45)... of the 2, the spicy tuna roll was the tastier one. It had a good kick and a decent amount of tuna. The rolls could be bigger. Overall, a decent first try with Gam Tu Bop. More meat & more seafood would make it a no brainer for me but the rice balls are mostly rice and lean on the meat.

The absolute best rice balls I've ever had. They beat the ones I had in Japan! They're the perfect rice to filling ratio. I've had the beef and teriyaki chicken and I will say the beef is my favorite! It's super flavorful like beef bulgogi.

I didn't want to like this place. I came upon it when I was visiting Glendale and was disappointed that my favorite Armenian kabab place (Mini Kabob) was closed. Because if you're in Glendale, why would you eat anything else?As an arrogant Korean, it is my duty to throw shade, judgment and scathing criticism on any Korean food outside of the peninsula, and lesser extent LA Koreatown. Cuz I don't like my people putting out any weak shit.I ordered a spicy tuna roll, a beef rice ball and a spicy pork rice ball. At the time of writing this review, this place is a take out only restaurant, and i was skeptical when i looked in the bag because the contents look underwhelming. Balls of rice with a handful of meat inside. they package the seaweed separately which makes sense, so the seaweed stays crispy, but it is a difficult meal to eat in your car.It turns out the marinated meats are delicious and have a pop of flavor that isn't the same tired profile I've eaten a million times before. The spicy tuna roll, once you figure out how to construct it, wasn't too bad either- the rice to meat ratio is a little high, but considering it was less than $4, who am i to complain? This place probably isn't for everyone, but paying $10 for a light lunch that is mostly healthy, and tastes as good as this, you'll find yourself running out of reasons to eat here. There's no other way to slice it. It's pretty good. And for single bachelors, you can just buy in bulk and store them in the fridge and buy banchan for fiber elsewhere. There free 90 minute public parking behind the place, just pass the restaurant on the right and keep making right turns and you'll find it.

I came to visit Cali and as craving a quick snack specifically rice balls. I found this place through Yelp and oh my gosh it's now in my top 10 food places in LA. It's inexpensive and the rice balls are so yummy. My favorite was the tamago (sweet egg) rice balls. I also tried the unagi (eel), spicy pork, grilled salmon, and beef rice balls. All the he rice balls comes with seaweed wrap for extra crisp. They were delicious. You must get the spicy tuna rolls. They were also my favorite if you like spicy tuna. They're like the ones you see online with the cool plastic wrap, very cool. They have plenty more to try like the shrimp and musubi rice balls which I haven't tried but the next time I visit, I'll probably come here first for a quick snack or even full meal! There's also a nice seating area across the street near a water fountain to eat. Definitely must try!
