I've officially been here twice in the last month, even though I've lived just down the street for 7 years! Very hole in the wall type place, but well worth the visit. You absolutely have to try the GAMJATANG STEW or the DAEJI BO-SSAM. ENJOY!PS: Parking lot maybe has 10 spots if you're lucky. Uber, park on the street, or walk.

Super yummy warm food. The servers spoke Korean and Chinese. And they were pretty nice!Excellent banchan. Well lit inside and open spaced with many tables inside. Could feel cramped. Parking lot can get crowded. Restrooms on-site.

I'd give it a 4.5 but rounded it up. The small gamjatang stew is big enough for 2 people. The broth was great but it could have a bit more msg / umami flavor. It's a little shin-guh-wah. Doesn't come with rice so gotta order it separately. The fried rice at the end was a bit disappointing tbh bc it was overpowering with kimchi flavor. Very busy. Parking is limited. Service is meh. But I think it's probably the best gamjatang in ktown when you're craving it.

Came for the lunch special which was a complete bang for your buck. Gamja tang $15.99 FOR ALL THIS FOOD: soup with 10 FALL OFF THE BONE RIBS, whole sweet potato a flavor profile similar to a korean ver of vietnamese bun bo hue (without the lemon grass). So comforting. I cleared this meal with no crumps 10/10 super homey. The restaurant had a worn look. Many people rave about the new location at Bueno Park, which I also hear is bigger.Been seeing all the major influencers calling this place OG since the 90s. So happy I got to try this place out. Luckily was already in this plaza for another store -- FYI parking here is super tight.

They've been dishing out authentic Korean food since 1994. Their gamjatang, or spicy pork bone soup, is an absolute must-try! The broth is super tasty without being too spicy, and the meat just falls off the bone. Plus, at the end of your meal, they use the leftover broth to make kimchi fried rice for you

Unfortunately just missed the lunch special so we had to order the full size portion. The restaurant was quiet and a few tables were pending to be bussed. The lunch special ended at 3pm. We were interested in trying the gamjatang and wanted the lunch special size because we were not too hungry. Our server explained that the lunch special is just a single person portion that you cannot cook at the table and it also doesn't come with the fried rice afterwards. We proceeded to get the small gamjatang from the regular menu. A large pot that can feed 2 to 3 ppl came out, filled with pork neck/spine bones in broth. The was 1 potato and a handful of greens topped on it. The soup was OK and the meat was soft, falling off the bones. I felt like having some fish sauce would be good to dip the meat in but they didn't have any. They gave us their house made sauce instead which was a light soy, sweetened, horseradishy sauce. It went well with the meat. At the end of eating the soup, we scooped out the rest of the gamjatang to a Togo container and the server used the pot to make some kimchi fried rice. The rice was a bit soggy but flavorful. This was a very filling meal.

This is the place to go to for Korean comfort food! We got their small Gamjatang, bossam, and their fried mackerel. Everything we got was so good here, even their banchan! The pork in the soup just fell off the bones, and the bossam was meaty, fatty and delicious. I loved how moist and flaky the mackerel was as well, and it was a great dish to get with all the other pork ones we had This place was absolutely packed when we went for dinner! They just opened a location in OC as well, so definitely go check it out in case you don't want to drive all the way to Koreatown. Definitely try this out the next time you're craving Korean comfort food.

Extremely traditional food. Reminds me of S. korea. So if you're missing home I definitely recommend. They even do the complimentary Fried rice at the end of the meal, which I definitely missed when I came back to the states. The soup isn't spicy and more flavorful so if you're scared of the spice give this a shot. Its red but not burning, and that's always a plus. It gets pretty crowded during the night so get there early. Service was great and they were super kind.

Tasty and delicious. We were craving Korean cuisine. This place was bookmarked and wanted to try. Entered and was greeted by all friendly auntie workers. Place looks small from outside but inside had many tables. Ordered the gamja-tang (pork neck bone soup), which comes in 3 sizes - small, medium, large. For us, the small seemed HUGE and had to take about half home. Probably because we also ordered the pancake. And the delicious side dishes were refilled. One of the aunties introduced us to the complimentary bokkeumbap, which we finished even tho we were extremely full. Something very tasty to munch on.There were more items on the menu that we would like to try next time. Recommend to visit!
