Love their pastries! My favorites are pistachio croissant and morning bun but all the other ones are also yummyIve tried their BELT and breakfast burrito. They were both good but I liked BELT more than the burrito as the burrito was a bit too heavy for me.Parking is street parking - can get busy on weekends

Delicious. Every. Time. They're often out of my beloved pistachio croissants, but I forgive them. Cookies are great. Sandwiches & fresh cut fries even better! Love the hippy sandwich.

It's all about the cardamom bun here which is only served during weekends.. I feel like a kid again when I unravel the layers similar to that of cinnamon rolls. I look forward to coming here on the weekends because they up their pastry menu with added items. What I like about this bake shop and restaurant is the quality of ingredients using locally sourced heirloom grains. I can taste the difference with some of their pastries having whole wheat. They're also known for their artisanal breads which are served with some of their breakfast items. The pork breakfast burrito wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla is delicious. Comes with pork shoulder slow cooked in red chili, soft scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheddar, salsa, and hominy. What I order regularly is the short rib hash. Tasty braised beef in it's au jus and potatoes. Topped with two sunny side up eggs and green salsa verde. Served with whole wheat sourdough toast which is great dipping in that au jus. All the other pastries are great tasting and made with seasonal fruit. This last summer, I was lucky enough to try their seasonal peach pastries; brioche, kouign amann, puff pastries, Danish, hand pie, etc. The pain d'amade is similar to that of a brioche but with almond paste in the middle, sliced like a pie, and topped with powdered sugar. Again, you can taste the quality of the wheat. I believe this is only served during weekends. A great treat if you're into almond filling type pastries. Infatuation LA rated their croissants as best in LA. Honestly, I think the croissants are good but there is a lot of competition in LA and better ones out there. I love "mostly" everything else here.

Friends & Family is a corner bakery, cafe and breakfast/lunch place in East Hollywood on a 4,000 square foot space building. They offer a plethora of baked pastries, coffee-tea, cold drinks and breakfast & lunch food. Interior design and layout were modern and spacious. Its atmospheric tranquility makes breakfast more enjoyable. I had an avocado toasts (sourdough) x scrabbled eggs, hot latte and chocolate croissant. AT and latte were delightful. CC was flaky good. Service was on point. Staff were affable and demonstrated obeisance.Prices seem fair and matched the quality of food/pastry and drinks. Street Parking only and finding a spot can be tricky. Overall, I enjoyed their breakfast and service. I recommend this bakery spot.

Infatuation LA awarded Friends & Family the number one croissant in LA. Although it wasn't bad, quite frankly, I wouldn't even put it as a top 10 contender. We arrived Sunday morning just before the breakfast crowd that did not stop up until we left. Staff is very nice and the displays are full of breads and pastries that all look amazing. We ordered a croissant, pistachio croissant, fig drop, Tea and coffee for about $27.The croissant was okay. It was crispy but a bit dry and the interior was somewhat dense and too "fluffed" and not really flaky or soft. It may have been over-baked, under proofed, or a combination. The pistachio croissant however was much better. Flaky exterior with a light interior, pistachio had good flavor. My favorite though was the fig drop. It had the best pastry of all three - super crunchy with airy interior. I loved the use of real figs and even with the fig jam it wasn't overly sweet. Overall, I just wasn't impressed

Ayoooo!!! I'm back on the hunt again for the Best Kouign Amann in LA and I will have to say that so far Friends & Family is #1 on my list! First of all this is a Peach Stuffed KA and it was mind blowing. I was skeptical at first cause I thought could the caramelization at the bottom be crisp with the additional moisture from the filling? The answer is Yes! Matter of fact it made the inside moist in which some KA's can be dry which annoying. This KA was flakey, buttery and the perfect amount of caramelization at the bottom. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning ASAP! Lots of street parking, Cards are accepted, Plenty of seating inside and few tables outside. Staff is always helpful!

Nice place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Busy and crowded, but friendly environment. Lots of light inside. There is also several tables outdoor. Good and tasty menu of sandwiches. Big selection of pastries and deli. You can also buy fresh bread and juices. Coffee is good. And they have mimosas! ;) good wifi , so you can make some work/study there. Also a good choice for coffee to-go! Try ginger pig cookies!

The food here is good--I had a sandwich, and my friend had the eggs, and both were tasty. However, the coffee was disappointing. I ordered an iced chai coffee, and my friend got an iced coffee, but both tasted watered down as if the hot coffee had melted the ice. The place was quite busy, and the tables were a bit dirty. The service wasn't very friendly, though that might have been because they were swamped. I probably wouldn't return for the coffee, but the food is worth trying.

As the name said, the venue felt like perfect gathering space with friends and family, which I could totally sensed the first time opening the door. The attendants were all super welcoming and helpful explaining the menu and assisting me making decision on what to order. Despite the long line on Sunday brunch time, it moved pretty swiftly and it's pretty easy to get seats given how spacious the cafe was. I would definitely recommend pre-order early morning at their opening time if you still wanted to get the complete selection of their pastries, which I thankfully did! I got the breakfast galette for savory option, which came with spinach and cheese. It was unique combination to find in a pastry and I was hooked by the idea and the taste! For the sweet one I opted for the pistachio croissant which I also got hitched by. Though I would say I had other bakery's pastries that I fancied more in terms of flakiness and buttery hint of the pastry base, but this one did impress me on the flavor and pretty generous filling. The highlight of the day was surely their signature Olive Oil Fried Eggs. TBH I wasn't really big fan of olive but this one was delighting. The fried eggs weren't overly greasy and was so flavorful, being served with Harissa sauce. The crispy chickpeas and yogurt well complemented the overall dish and the toasted olive bread surely brought it to the next level. A must-go when around Hollywood!
