Would definitely return is probably the best way to start. We arrived for an early dinner and had a glass of wine on the sidewalk patio while waiting for a table. Staff was great and was very communicative. We ordered some shrimp, a fair amount of oysters, smoked trout dip, crudo, and a squid ink pasta. The seafood was incredible and the freshness was never in doubt. The condiments for the oysters were amazing and really added to the food. The smoked trout dip is a great crowd pleaser and the crudo was just the right texture and the seasoning highlighted the food. The shrimp had an awesome flavor but be prepared for a little mess! Excellent seafood and perfect for a great date. I would pass on the pasta, maybe it just wasn't the taste I was expecting but it didn't do it for me. Our waitress was excellent, and was honestly helpful in deciding what and how to order. The platters do not save you any money and there is no difference to ordering a la carte, which could be explained upfront. Definitely try and make a reservation as they get busy, for good reason!

We caught a noon reservation and sat outside. Unfortunately, I was too concentrated on catching up with friends but the exterior looked nice :) so I'm sure the inside is lovely. Our waiter was incredibly wonderful and notated his personal recommendations. Five stars because we had a lovely time, and the food was great. I don't think the price point reflects the portion or plates well (a bit overpriced) but the visit still deserved five stars :^)On the table: bub & grandma's bread, scallop tostada, chowder, fried oysters, cabbage, fresh oysters, and a fried cod sandwich with fries (and and wonderful wine -- I forgot which kind we got).

simple menu with quality foodfound oyster is a charming restaurant offering fresh seafood items. ~Food~baywaych platter: 10/10 we were allowed to pick the number of each items so we opted for 6 oysters, 2 prawns and crudo. this came out to about $94 for mp for that day. we ended up loving the oysters so much that we ordered an additional 6scallop tostada $22: 10/10 was so impressed with this dish. the sweetness and citrus flavor mixed so well with the saltiness of the scallop. this combined with a crunchy tostada made it my favorite dish here easy rider lager $5: 10/10 solid light beer ~Service: friendly service ~Cost: a bit costly since it's a seafood restaurant but worth every penny ~Parking: very difficult street parking

The seafood here is as fresh as it gets. The oysters were pristine, the uni service was briny and rich, and the lobster roll was packed with flavor. The scallop tostada stood out with its perfect balance of textures and bright flavors. We finished with the key lime pie, which was just the right mix of tart and sweet--a perfect way to end the meal. I just wish the prices weren't so steep, but the quality does deliver.

What a find. I was sleuthing thru yelp reviews for some raw oysters and this place popped up. my fellow yelpers never steer me wrong. We lucked out and did not have to wait long for a seat. It is quaint and intimate inside. Bar seating and small 2 top high tables. They seat the bigger parties outside in their makeshift seating. They make most of the space allotted utilizing the wall to hold platters. We tried an array of items and everything was prepared well and tasted good. It is EXPENSIVE tho.. so be mindful of that. This place isn't for the good deals its a ball out type of outing.

Came here craving oysters in the evening. Found this place pretty last minute and I was really happy I found this place.Scallop Tostada 5/5- Whoahh this dish was really surprising. I love scallops and saw this on the menu and thought why not give it a try. I was skeptical because for the price point, I didn't think a couple tortilla chips and scallops would be worth it. I was wrong. Scallops were nice and big and delicious. The presentation and the sauce especially was well put together.Baywatch Platter 5/5- Also another great dish. It was really nice that the server mentions that you can pretty much customize these platters. We went for a half dozen, two prawns, and the crudo. The oysters were so good we had to order another half dozen just because it tasted so premium and high quality. The crudo was really good add on as well since my favorite fishes are yellowtail, salmon, and then the scallops. One thing about this place is that it is very hard to find parking in this area, so you should expect to walk a couple feet to a couple blocks down from the restaurant (street parking). Ultimately, this place has amazing vibes especially at sunset where you can enjoy a nice glass of wine or beer with your friends or loved one.

One of my favorite LA meals! If you like seafood, you need to go. Parking is not the easiest, but its worth it. We ate outside, heaters kept it warm and they we're checking to make sure we had what we needed throughout the meal.

Found Oyster is an absolute gem--chill, cool, and effortlessly inviting. The vibe is homey and intimate, with a warm interior design that makes you feel like you're dining with family. The tables are close together, creating a lively and friendly atmosphere that enhances the overall experience. The staff is as delightful as the food. Mary, our server, was kind and attentive, offering spot-on recommendations. Lindsey, the host, was equally sweet and welcoming, setting the tone for a wonderful meal. Now, let's talk about the food--because it's the star of the show. * Scallop Tostada: An absolute standout. This dish is refreshing, minty, and perfectly balanced with a touch of sweet sauce. The crisp tostada is the ideal base, making every bite light and delightful. * Lobster Roll: Served in a warm, toasted potato bun, the lobster was fresh, tender, and paired with a flavorful mayo sauce. While it's nearly perfect, I'd love the lobster to be poached in warm butter for that extra indulgence. * Fried Cod Fish Sandwich: Simply put, this is the lunch of champions. The fish was crunchy yet light, served in a soft potato bun with a tangy coleslaw-style sauce and crisp iceberg lettuce. The slight vinegar kick was just right, though a pinch of extra salt on the fish would make it flawless. * Oysters: We tried Mr. Bills and Mere Point oysters, and Mr. Bills stole the show with its uniquely green outer shell and rich flavor.Every dish was fresh, well-prepared, and bursting with flavor. Found Oyster delivers an unpretentious yet elevated seafood experience that's perfect for a casual lunch or a special night out. The combination of exceptional food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit. Five stars, without a doubt!

Shoutout to Tim and the team for a great Sunday lunch. They were gracious enough to recommend some things off the menu and walk us through them. We started off with some excellent clam chowder. Not too thick, but savory with a side of crackers. Next was the overboard platter which had a little bit of everything on it! There was a variety of oyster and all were so good. The crab dip/spread to put on the Ritz cracker was delicious, I wish I could have had that all to myself. We had a few other dishes but the star of the meal for me was the scallop tostada. It just had the perfect amount of sweet and savory accompanied by a nice crunch. If you're at Found Oyster, I would recommend you treat yourself to the specials, some wine, and some of the key lime pie!
