For The Win

We ordered 3 burgers and added lettuce + tomatoes. The burgers took a few mins to make but that's ok because that means everything is made to order. The burgers were really good. My brother said he wouldn't add the lettuce and tomatoes next time but the rest of us enjoyed the add ons. The meat is an authentic smash burger meaning it's pretty thin so the double patty would be my choice for next time. The fries were enjoyable but the sweet potatoes fries were the real star. We also got to try the brussel sprouts and wow they had great flavor and a nice outer crunch. The restaurant itself is very small. There is limited seating inside as well as limited parking outside. The parking lot is also pretty small but people are constantly coming and going so we were able to find parking right in the front. Would definitely eat here again.

We have been meaning to try For The Win for some time. Today was the day..We went on a recent Sunday and got parking in the lot right out front. Nice. We ordered three burgers, one with no sauce, some fries, Mexican coke and a Topo Chico: 4.50 apiece felt a bit high..The burgers arrived quickly. Definitely smash burgers as there was a nicely crispy edge all the way around. Good stuff. The burgers reminded me a bit of The Win-Dow's pickles and sauce & soft bun. The fries were piping hot and I liked there were packet condiments to add. All in all very good and well likely come back again.

The place is in a tiny strip mall that also housed some other tasty looking locations. Yet if you don't know it was there you'd pass by and never think twice. The inside is forgettable and I loved it. No silly LA up-charge for designer tables and chairs in a burger joint. Nice staff that seemed proud of their food. But the ambiance is not why anyone comes here, as all their focus is on the food and it shows because this was an all-time, top five smashburger in my book. And it's simple. There's no special cheese or unusual cut of meat. Just a fantastic combination of meat, cheese and bun. Really good fries, but the burger is definitely the superstar. Almost makes me feel bad for their chicken sandwiches because I can't imagine how anyone would even consider showing them any love when they're staring down burgers like these. Really happy to say that everything I'd heard about this place has proven to be true.

Meh experience here. We stumbled upon this spot while in town, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. Parking was a challenge, indoor seating was limited, and ordering was digital-only.The food was just okay - nothing special. However, the fries were a highlight - perfectly crispy! And the Mexican Coke was a refreshing touch.Major turnoff: the California kitchen service tax felt excessive.Probably won't be returning during our stay.

I have never visited the location in person and have always ordered via doordash but I can honestly say this places food travels well. The food is delicious. It is a simple and easy menu but the taste makes up for it. This is the only place where the fries travel well when they arrive. The service is always accurate. I will always be coming back.

We arrived in the knick of time before a long line formed behind us. Nonetheless, the food comes out very quickly. The smash burger is good, however, I barely tasted the beef patty. The sauce was over powering. The fries and sweet potato fries were good... a lot like The Habit. The brussels sprouts were tangy and rich in vinegar. The place is simple and service is as expected. I agree with the reviews that it's pricey for what you get and not worth the hype, however, not sure about what else would be better in the area.

Came here as I was reading that it was the best smash burger in all of LA. The restaurant is mainly takeout with a few seats if you wanted to eat there. Got to the counter, ordered a double smash with all the fixings. Also sweet potato fries. Service was fast and friendly. I suppose my expectations were overhyped. The burger was good, but would not say it was the best I have ever had. It was solid. Sweet potato fries were crispy and good. 4 stars for both friendly service and a decent burger/fries.

Decided to go on a burger crawl in Cali to see what is the best burger because people raved about In-and-Out. But my opinion is that For the Win is the best burger. Ordered a basic cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. It was delicious and freshly prepared.It's a tiny unassuming shop. Very low key, shelves of wine bottles (so, is it gourmet burgers then?) Limited communal tables but full of customers. Self serve condiment station on the side (packets of ketchup, etc). Very cool vibe but in a sketchy neighborhood. Awesome food! Definitely the better burger of all the ones taste tested. Would love to return.

I went there on a weekend to try what should be the best smash burger in SoCal. The restaurant was full and their seating was assigned. We got the cheeseburger relatively fast. I don't think the burger is the best in town. It's good but I don't think it beats the Window. Slightly overhyped in my opinion
