I've been following Flaming Pasta on Instagram for a while, especially since it's only 20 minutes from my house. Today, I finally had the chance to try it, and I was impressed! The place is very clean, and the service is excellent.I love the "make-your-own-pasta" concept--you can customize it exactly how you want. They offer different spice levels, from mild to medium to hot--and trust me, when they say hot, they mean it!My only suggestion would be not to break the pasta in half. I ordered linguine, and a lot of it seemed like broken pieces, which is a no-go for Italians. Other than that, everything was great.Oh, and I can't forget to mention the garlic bread--it's excellent! Definitely worth a try. 4.5

This spot is fire!!! That's all that has to be said. Food:Order the Cajun Shabang with Penne Pasta. It comes with all the goods Shrimp, chicken, bell peppers, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, parsley, with an Alfredo sauce. Because they cook it with the sundried tomatoes the sauce looks pink. you can make any pasta because they allow you customize your meal thats how it works. You go in and create your own pasta dish. They do have a couple pasta created that you can order but you know who you like your pasta so I recommend you doing it your way right! Service:The staff is super chill, very nice and have knowledge of the menu and your options. They are friendly and will hold a conversation with you. Amazing staff!!Atmosphere:Great environment plenty of space to sit and eat in the restaurant. It's super clean and feels like a good space. Price:Okay so the price could be on the high end however, it all depends on what you add in and the size you choose. The Cajun shabang comes in one size Large when I added in extra shrimp and garlic bread my order came out to $34. I will say that size feeds two people or if your like me and dont like to share the good stuff, it makes two separate meals,Location:6913 LA Tijera Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90045It's in a shopping center and parking can be tight It's a small parking lot. But cars seem to rotate in and out at a good pace.

It's not on the menu but they have gluten free pasta! The day I went they had linguine, penne, and spaghetti as options. Be prepared to wait a little longer (10-15 min) because they cook the gf pasta fresh to order . The staff is so nice and accommodating and really want you to get pasta that will satisfy your cravings. When I asked about gluten free options, they ran to the back to make sure that they could confirm which types they had that day. They even recommended sauce pairings. I ordered the gluten free linguine with Italian chicken sausage and pesto sauce and veggies. The portions are so generous and worth the price! I love how it's not just a huge pile of noodles with barely any sauce or toppings. There was soo much protein and veggies in my bowl . The gf pasta did not turn to mush and was cooked perfectly al dente - my fellow gf-ers know how rare that is. I also got my pasta mild spicy and it had a good kick to it without overpowering the sauce. Don't forget to check in and use your 20% off! Parking is easy as the restaurant is in a plaza with a huge lot. There's a bunch of seating in the store but most people were grabbing pasta to go. There aren't a lot of drink options. Can't wait to come back and try some other combinations.

If you're reading reviews to see if you should try this place let me tell you...YES. Try it. I'm a pasta lover and I can make pasta very good myself (with soul) and this is a place is heavy in my rotation for some tasty American style pasta.5/5: The service was excellent. A younger guy helped us and I'm not sure if he was a family member, the owner, or a dedicated employee but he single-hand-idly made us instant repeat customers. He was so patient, and knew how and what to recommend and he told us how long it would take. Pay this young man!!5/5: The food. The food was so flavorful. The herbs were paired with the perfect amount of saltiness without going overboard. 4/5: The facility. The ONLY reason I took away a star is because we no longer live in this area and it would have been nice if the facility felt more comfortable to dine-in. The facility is super clean and almost stark and cafeteria-ish, and that's the reason we felt obligated to take it to go. If they fix that part, I'd come here every time I was in the city! It's a good place for groups if they could accommodate them because you pay your own tab! I'd love to see them re-imagine the dining space and move the line to the side and make the space nice for dine-in.We can't wait to go back. Food portions are great. I had enough for the next day and it was just as good.

This place was featured on Instagram shortly before my trip to LA. I bookmarked it so I wouldn't forget about it. It was only about 2.5 miles from where I was staying...so I made sure to try it before I left. It's a fast-casual pasta restaurant with a kick! Their slogan is "Spice that sauce!" Their spice scale goes from mild to flamin, with medium and hot inbetween. You pick your pasta, sauce, protein, veggies and spice level. If you don't want to create your own pasta, they have featured dishes as well. Everything sounded so good with different flavor profiles. I got a regular sized bowl with penne, Alfredo with a touch a pesto, ground sausage, sun dried tomato, spinach and broccoli with medium spice. The "medium"was a bit more spice than what I'm used to "medium" being, but it wasn't unbearable. I also didn't get much of an Alfredo flavor due to the spice, but it was still very good! Portion size was generous. I ordered the regular size, which is easily 2 meals. I got full very quickly! If you aren't feeling pasta, you can create your own salad bowl. I would return when I'm back in LA.

Background On Visit: After perusing through 99 cent store (closing), we stopped by to have dinner.Flamin Pasta Mission Statement: We're a fast-casual pasta restaurant with a kick! And our slogan "Spice that sauce!" doesn't just refer to our spicy appeal, but also to the natural spices we use to give each dish that homemade taste. Our homemade marinara sauce is top-notch and our customization model are what makes us unique. Do you prefer marinara or alfredo? Maybe both, with a touch of pesto. Ground Italian or chicken sausage, shrimp, grilled chicken, or just veggies? Come create your own pasta and salad bowl. Several sizes to choose from and every dish starts as not spicy and it's up to you to level it up to flamin' if you'd like. You can spice that sauce the way you like it!! Yelp Check-in Promo: 20% off your order. Yasssss for discounts!!!Location/Parking: Located in a strip mall on La Tijera. Parking can be found in the public parking lot.Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with pretty cool decor along the walls. Go nuts and take many pictures with them.Service: Service was good and food came out at a decent time. Recommendation was on point.Pasta Of Choice: 1) Flamin' Creation: Consisted of Penne pasta, ground Italian chicken sausage, fresh garlic, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, sweet peas, sun-dried tomatoes, tossed in alfredo sauce with a touch of pesto, topped with parmesan and parsley. Portion size is generous and entree was very good even though the spice level is off the charts for being mild. The staffer did say that next time I patronize the shop, I can ask for less mild so then it'll be more bearable to consume.2) Spinach Or Cheese Ravioli with marinara sauce: Decided on the spinach ravioli and it quite delicious with the marinara sauce.3) Small house special salad: Salad was fresh and refreshing. Balanced out the pasta dishes that we had. I'll ask next time if we can have the dressing on the side.Flamin' Pasta For Thought: Shop was good. I would like to visit again to try other items on their menu.
