Awesome taproom with - you guessed it - a bunch of drinks on tap! They have a pay-as-you-go system where you are charged by the oz. as you choose from a wide selection of beers, seltzers, and even cocktails.I challenge you I try a sip from every tap (cause I did, and I had a great time)! They also have pretty decent bar food as well that you can order directly from QR codes on the tables. They have both a large indoor and outdoor patio space so this place is great for groups and larger celebrations! There is limited metered parking around the area and a paid lot right across the street with more spaces.

Fun atmosphere to watch the 2024 World Series Game 2: Dodgers v Yankees. Salad was interesting with the ground beef.

If you're looking for a fun spot that combines self-pouring drinks and seriously tasty dishes, First Draft Taproom and Kitchen in DTLA has you covered. The vibe here is super chill with a side of craft-cool. The staff are super nice and friendly and everyone has the vibe down. I'm talking the kind of attentive service that makes you feel right at home and brings you napkins because I kept eating my wings messily.Speaking of pouring, as a person who has complete FOMO all the time, their "pour your own drink" approach is super appealing to me. Just tap your drink card and you can pour as little or as much as you want! It is a "choose-your-own-adventure" of 46 taps - craft beer, wine, cider, seltzer, and more. Whether you want a full pint or just a sip, it's all about trying what you like, no pressure, and no wasted drinks! My friends and I had a great time and I got to play with the dispenser a bit. Even as a non-alcoholic partier, their team member was so nice to recommend me a "Paulaner Sunset" which is basically Orange Cola from Germany. This drink has now stolen my heart and became my favorite soda drink.Once my friends and I got our drinks, the food situation is just as easy. Scan the QR code at the table and boom, food comes right to you! And let me tell you, it's not just bar bites. These dishes are delicious. We got shareables like wings, zuchinni fries, regular fries, and onion rings. Everything was made very well and served piping hot!First Draft is the kind of spot you can hit up for a casual night with friends or even just to taste-test your way through their killer drink lineup. I'll definitely be back for the experience, the food, and of course, the great people here!

Way over prices for what this place is. Automatic 20% tip regardless of party size and this place is self serve unless you order food. Also this party basket which they claim can feed 8-10 people feeds 3-4 max. It's more of an intimate party basket.

I spoke with Carlos to reserve a space for a group on a Sunday and he was very open and accommodating. Once we arrived, Tracy and Neev (I may be spelling their names wrong) were both there at different time and were helpful and had great service. Our group had people drop in and out throughout the afternoon and order food and pour their own drinks at their own pace. Yes, the gratuity is added automatically but I didn't mind if considering that It was a seamless process where we didn't have to wait around as they could all check out at their own time. Overall, it was well worth the experience and would come back especially because the service was great.

Was shopping around the area so me and my sister stopped by for drinks and food. The self-serve concept could be cool and the place is artsy and cute but I'm writing a bad review for 3 reasons: 1) bad pricing 2) bad food 3) bad service. 1. You pay at the end. Things add up every quick. They charge like 70c to $1 per oz and it's like 13oz to fill a cup. We spent like $65 for 6 not even full cups of beer. Then they charge you 20% gratuity on top when you are serving yourself??? You also order food on your phone and pay online? So 20% for what?2. The food is trash. Someone else mentioned it on the reviews actually. The food taste and looks microwaved! Got the flatbtead and 6 wings. It looks like one of those pizzas you pop in the microwave and it was like $40 for those 2 things because they also charge the 20% gratuity on that. Hella disappointed after spending over $100 for food and drinks. If I wanted to eat mid microwaved food I could have looked in my freezer. 3) Some skinny white petite waitress was rude. First, she hardly acknowledged us when we walked in. They have like a reception desk at the entrance so if you're gonna work that station shouldn't you at least be a little warm? I don't expect a red carpet and big ol smiles but atleast a gesture of acknowledgement. The mngr was sweet. On top of that, the same waiter made a weird comment when she came to clear our table. There was still food on the plates so we kindly told her we are still working on it to indicate for her not to pick it up and she says "ur gonna eat ALL of that?!" Very confused on why she would say that when it was a regular (actually on the smaller side) meal?? And wth do you care? Even if I didn't finish it I would take it home bc how pricey it was. Plain rude. Walked away hella disappointed in the food and super annoyed at the waiters rude comment and just regretful in general.

It's an interesting place but not quite worth recommending. They have the "serve yourself" beer wall but don't list the cost of an ounce so it ends up being way more expensive than expected. They also include a "living wage" charge on every check which... is fine, but why doesn't the establishment just pay them a living wage then? Anyway, it took 45 minutes to get food even when the place wasn't that busy. The food was good and fairly priced but again, the fee plus tip for subpar service. It's nice in theory but more expensive and not as great as it should be for the price.

Automatic 20% gratuity at a self serve place. The concept is great, you are given a card and you can pour your own brew. The total is tallied at the end. You also order your own food via a QR code at the table of your choice...so why am I paying a gratuity?? Because the owner wants us to pay the employee wages? They had a great selection of beer, although 2 of the 6 I tried were flat. The place was pretty dead for a Friday night. Beautiful place by the way...perfect for an IG photo. We didn't order any of the food either, as it looked terribly overpriced. I love beer and food but I will pass on this place.

This place is so cute and hip. They just remodeled it. You pay your drinks per ounce with a tap card. They have wine, seltzers and a wide selection of beers to pick from. They also serve food and it's good bar food. The watermelon seltzer in draft is so good, my favorite. The staff is always really nice and good at explaining how it all works. They also have a frozen margarita drink

One of the best tap room I been to. Great selection of beers, but if you don't know what to get Carlos got you. Can't say much about food since I didn't have any. Also pretty awesome layout for a night out with friends.
