This place was so cute! The view from the brunch spot was great because it was right by the water. We stumbled upon the place from walking by the beach. It was not so busy when we went into and got seated right away. The server was kind to us. We ordered some breakfast options which were tasty, and ended with some lattes that satisfied our morning cravings. Definitely recommend!

The vibes in here are great. It was definitely a little chilly so they should probably invest in some more heaters, but thankfully we had jackets. Our service was pretty good. The food was very very good. The tostadas were very fresh with great flavor, and the seafood pasta had this amazing creamy umami sauce. However, the reason why this is sadly getting 3 stars and why we did not stay for dessert (which probably would've been delicious) was because throughout the second half of our dinner, we saw a MOUSE running around. It was running underneath our table, and we had to keep checking to make sure it wouldn't run over our feet. This definitely took away from the experience, and raised some questions as to why there was a rodent in the dining area. Also, one of the employees was at our table when we had to jump up and back away from the mouse that was literally in front of us, and he barely reacted and just laughed. I feel like he probably should've told our server who could've given us a free dish, or apologized at least. Overall, I'd love to come back here if there was a promise of no mice, because the food was great. Just beware of rodents.

Cute place. Right on the boardwalk. Lovely service. Menu was small. Omelette wasn't my fave. Avocado toast was delish. Banana pancakes. Also awesome. This place is all about ambiance. Just darling.

Right along the bike path of famed Venice Beach, CA... you can't beat its location... next to the sand and the Pacific Ocean... it's the beach ambiance that you can't beat!Service is very matter of fact... a NY minute of attention but if/when you can get their attention, it's a full service experience! The food is interesting... very much a south American feel and flavor for some, and a different approach for everything else.It isn't cheap, but for this kind of view... priceless!

While walking in Venice Beach, my sister and I wanted an Espresso Martini. We decided to try Fig Tree. Let's start with how beautiful these espressos were. The presentation alone has set a new standard. The taste was very bold and will easily give you that mid-day boost! We only decided to have one drink, nonetheless, next time we're in town we will return for food as well. Side note: there's an automatic Healthcare charge added to the bill. As our server explained it's optional to pay it or not. The charge goes towards the staff's health care insurance. Our server was nice so we decided to keep it.

If you're looking for a chic, cozy spot with delicious vegan and vegetarian options, Fig Tree Venice is the place to be! This rustic gem, right on the water, offers a charming farm-to-table experience. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed afternoon--ideal for bringing a book and settling into a warm corner with a comforting bowl of soup or a fresh salad. The tranquil setting makes it a wonderful escape, and the food is both wholesome and flavorful. A great place to unwind and enjoy some nourishing, well-prepared dishes.Service is decent. Sometimes on the slower side, obviously depends on how busy they are.

I wanted to try Fig Tree Venice since it was in a convenient location in the Venice/Santa Monica area. Not gonna lie, I got a little catfished seeing the pictures of this place online and then going in person. This restaurant is not as cute as I thought it would be. Outdoor seating can be a bit cramped depending on where you sit. Customer service left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Plantain and Coconut Pancakes ($19) which is pretty steep for a plate of pancakes with plantains. There was a lot of textures with each bite in the multi-grain pancakes which I wouldn't always say is a good thing. The plantains were cooked well, but it's one of those items where the more you eat it in one sitting, the more you get sick of it and want something to change it up with. Personally I would recommend this plate only if you are sharing with the table. What I also didn't like is how terrible their bathrooms are. I went in during breakfast hours and the bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. It was a mess and it was very dirty and dark.Personally I wouldn't return and everything feels very slow and not sanitary. Plus you don't really get your value for the money you pay for which I understand because of the location, but oof.

I've had this place on my list for a while now, so the girls and I chose to come here for our Friendsgiving brunch. The ambiance is great, right on the beach and the patio is airy with boho decor. However, the food was super underwhelming. We had the ceviche, breakfast burrito, and burger, all of which were just okay. The breakfast burrito with chorizo was heavy on the egg, potato, and green peppers; it really didn't have much flavor and needed something else. The service was alright, but we had to wait a while for the check and some boxes. Overall, not necessarily a negative experience, but there was nothing memorable about Fig Tree Venice that would bring me back.Like most places in Venice, parking is a challenge, so make sure to account for that. We got lucky and found street parking on a neighborhood street, there's also plenty of paid lots nearby.

Decidedly ok. Our waiter was very indifferent to us the entire meal. We were seated for our 6:45 reservation and he didn't even acknowledge us for 15 minutes and that was only after we went back to the hostess stand asking if the server knew we had even been seated. When he finally acknowledged us it was only ask if we decided what we wanted to eat like he had checked on us previously and we weren't ready. No welcome no offer of water no take drink orders first. The food was fine but generally lacked flavor. The ceviche sauce was good but the fish didn't have the flavor in it. The pasta was sopping in oil with little herbiness or saltiness. It was cooked well though. The patio was really beautiful but we were seated so far back that they closed the plastic barrier and we couldn't even see the colors and the sky over the ocean after they did that. The espresso martini was a high point.
