First Friday night when Far Bar was not packed with people. I couldn't be happier about that because I have had to walk away in search of alternate space to spend my money. We invited an out of town friend to meet us for dinner and drinks. We were seated fairly quickly. We were lead to the outdoor dining/seating space on a rather chilly night but were seated right at the lovely, huge heating lamp. Dark space, low light, chill vibes..perfect atmosphere for our friend reunion. We truly enjoyed our drinks and food. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would recommend for date night, games, and group gatherings. What we ordered:- Whiskey flight: 3 types of whiskey (can't go wrong with whiskey)- Spicy Edamame (complimentary levels of spicy and garlic)- Maneki Tots (lots of flavor and didn't get soggy)- Far Bar Burger (not pictured but the gouda, bacon, and sriracha mayo combo was delish)and the star of the show for me:- Garlic Shrimp Pasta (garlic buttery, lemony, creamy goodness with chili flakes and notes of ginger possibly. Consuming this dish made me happy and I would order this each and every time)***** five starsParking: very rare to find street parking. parking structure across the street. I usually park at Starbucks a block away. It's a flat fee of $10 which works for me since I usually walk and hang at several Little Tokyo locations and wouldn't want to move the car to pay for multiple parking spots.

Been there multiple times for a few drink. But this time I got food. Amazing fusion food & I don't really mess with that kinda stuff. The tacos were good & good quality meat. PauseThe server was kind & consonantly checked up on us So that's wassup.& the ambiance was cool, wish the lights were just a bit brighter cause I was over pouring my shorty's Hot Sake.Been going and will go again.

I am shocked at this 3 1/2 star rating! Also, I looked through the reviews and the bad ones are complete bs. We ordered most of the menu and nothing disappointed. The sushi is from heaven. Seriously I felt like a sushi chef was right there in front of us but I have a feeling it was made by a Mexican chef with love in the kitchen. Me and babe ordered 4 things off the menu and ate every morsel including the garnishes. If licking my plate could be acceptable I would have done so. We ordered the chicken gyoza, Far bar and Dragon roll, and the wings. Everything was great but the wings were a little too spicy for me so I happily gave them to my man and he was thoroughly satisfied. They adhere to Vegans, they serve food late. I can't get enough of this place. Taylor from Louisiana had the best southern hospitality. Angel and I talked about how great the Beatles were and it just made for an epic night. Please come here as a tourist, as a local, as a guest. I'm literally coming back tomorrow upon meeting the owner at the end of the night.

Sports bar-esque with a youthful clientele during happy hour. Decent bar food with delicious Asian options. We had a show to catch at East West Players down the street so we only had time for a few quick appetizers and they were all good. Wings, edamame and sushi rolls for the 5 of us. Service was a bit slow but we were still able to make the show.

09.08.24 - We had a Feast and lots of fun at the Far Bar over the weekend. Located in the Little Tokyo area, it is conveniently located to public transportation in the Downtown Los Angeles area. Service was great, staff very friendly, even though they were very busy with a full-house of Dodger fans who stopped by before going to the game. We had a "continental" style breakfast that included Pozole. I had a chance to ask the cook if this is a regular item on the menu, he said yes and let us know it has an "Asian" flair to it as it has similar ingredients in the broth to make Ramen. It's his own special and secret recipe. They can accommodate small or large groups inside or outdoor seating. There are many restaurants and bars in the area. Bookmark this spot when making the rounds in the Greater LA, it has a good vibe and tasty food. Enjoy and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!

Been here a few times now and never disappointed. This is the kind of spot you venture into when you want to be sure of a good time. The whiskey collection is amazing to include some of the best Japanese whiskeys. Very appropriate for Little Tokyo area. Add to that great food and awesome beers to pair everything with. There's picnic style tables at the center of the restaurant where we've sat and had some fun, but I always prefer to sit at the bar. One time we were there for a dodger game and just as we were about to leave Ohtani hit a home run and we were given shots to take before we departed. Staff is awesome and I'm glad this is a place I know of. I'll be back soon.

Had a great experience at Far Bar, nestled in the heart of Little Tokyo. The atmosphere is fantastic, combining a chill gastropub vibe with the historic charm of the space--it even has a hidden patio that's perfect for hanging out. We were lucky to be seated right by the window, which gave us a perfect view of the street, including the iconic gate of Little Tokyo. It was a great spot to enjoy our meal and watch the world go by.Originally, we just stopped by to use the bathroom and weren't expecting to stay. Being able to sit down and enjoy a meal was a pleasant surprise. We ordered a 'Hey Goodlooking' mocktail, and it was refreshingly complex, with just the right balance of sweet and tangy. A mocktail that feels this close to whiskey? Impressive! The karaage bowl was decent, though the chicken might have been a little overfried, giving it a slightly tougher texture than expected. Still, it was a filling dish. The real star of the meal, however, was Ming's Wings. They were easily my favorite--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor, especially with the green onions and peppers on top.The service was fast and attentive, making the experience even better. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!

This is a cool hidden away place right in plain sight in little Tokyo. Stopped in here with friends before going to see the play Pacific Overtures. The place has an industrial feel and appeared to be an old store that had been converted into a restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to see a huge selection of whiskey with a nice selection of Japanese spirits. The specialty drinks were really good. My wife loved the Jade Empire. The appetizers were top notch and we devoured the Maneki Tots and Ming's Wings. The service was excellent. Servers were attentive and the food was served quickly and was hot. We definitely will be back here.

This bar/restaurant is located in little Tokyo right next to the Ohtani mural. It has plenty of space and even a patio in the back! Service was quick and my ramen was delicious!! Love the vibe and the homage to dodger greats!
