I was visiting and was looking for some vegan breakfast. This place was amazing! The person who made our food was very kind and took their time to make our sandwiches. Our sandwiches were delicious! If you're in the area and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. I will be back to try more sandwiches if I'm back in the area.

The food here is indescribably good. I cannot even find enough words of how good a plant based burger and chopped cheese this is. The ambiance is that of a New York burger joint. The service is fantastic.All in all you're cheating plant based diets if this place isn't included.

I love Extra Market. I had Chopped Cheese. The bread was crispy and soft, just like a sandwich should be. The ingredients inside were so fresh, vegan beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, vegan mayo and ketchup. It was made to order, came out pretty darn fast and was hot. Extra Market has a New York feel to it. I sat at the counter so I could see my food being made on the grill. It was pretty darn cool. The owner, Jamie, is a really nice guy and he's passionate about what he does. There's even a market and store you can shop at during your visit. The bacon and eggs are homemade (maybe more, but I know those are for sure). I tried the bacon and it's the best I've ever had. I highly recommend Extra Market for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Best vegan burger spot in LA. I crave this place...I've come 3x in two weeks. The cheeseburger is delicious and the customer service is always great. The food is reasonably priced. I've only had the burgers and fries but I'm curious about the rest of the menu. As a long time vegan, this place stomps a lot of places. Please don't ever close!!The only downside is the parking situation because it's on Fairfax- but it's worth it, I promise!

This place had me curious. When I searched the area for 'vegan,' it came up and the name had me intrigued since it didn't exactly scream restaurant or anything. So I looked further.When you look at their website, at least when I looked at it, it shows an image of what looks like a boutique clothing shop, so I was really curious. Like, maybe their food is the best kept secret? I had to find out.Took me forever to arrive, the parking is typical LA hell-at least the street parking, I didn't bother looking elsewhere. When I got inside, I was hella surprised. Plants, drinks, indoor and outdoor dining? I think I checked the yelp images but only for the food and menu, so it was a nice surprise.If I'm not local to a restaurant, I usually stock up on food that I most likely won't eat all at once. I ordered the chili cheese fries, the cheeseburger, chopped cheese and bacon, egg and cheese. You know I had to finish the fries fresh, can't let those get cold. Saw another review mention there's not very much chili cheese on the chili cheese fries and I'd have to agree with that. There was way more fries and it would great to have more of a balance-not less fries, more chili please!I also ate the cheeseburger on the spot. I really wanted to be blown away, but all I can say was that it was fresh. Nothing about the taste stayed with me, made me remember it or was craveable enough for me to come back for it. Those pickles were huge and thick. That's what I remember.Had the chopped cheese the next day and the bacon, egg and cheese a few hours later. Again, both were good, just wasn't amazing. I also may not be the target audience. This place specializes in veganized New York sandwiches and I've never eaten anything really amazing from New York-whether I was in New York or the chef was from there. The food has just been fresh but regular tasting. With that said, I'd give it another try while in the area. To have certain sandwiches still hot and see if that makes a difference.

There used to be a handful of vegan restaurants on Fairfax and in this neighborhood, but many of them have shut down after the pandemic, so I'm so glad Extra Market is here -- and praying it stays around for long time.I get the cheeseburger -- the potato bread is super soft, and it's coated in some sort of butter substitute that makes every bite heavenly. I'm not even vegan but I honestly crave the burgers from here more than I do any other burger place.The owner is super nice. The place is always clean, modern, and has got good vibes. I like to get a bite with friends here -- but it's also great for solo dining while people watching or reading a book. :)

Ambiance and food is fantastic! Very clean and vibey spot for a quick grub. Employee was kind and quick.

Like some others, I am the carnivore that was brought here by the vegan friend. My bestie was in town and wanted to try this vegan restaurant since we were in the area. It seems like a one-man show, with who I presumed is the owner taking our order and making our food. He was super nice and the interior is cute! Indoor and outdoor seating, with the majority of the indoor seating being bar-style. We ended up ordering the chopped cheese and bacon egg & cheese. I'll say it, I was surprised! The chopped cheese was very flavorful and my friend LOVED the bacon egg & cheese. The only reason for less than 5 stars is for a $20 meal, I was still hungry. Definitely worth checking out!**to the nice owner, please add a QR code menu to the front!!

Best in town hands down. I don't understand how this place doesn't have a line out the door. I've been here twice. This place is awesome. The customer service is great. My burger tasted really delicious. I like how the fries are thinly cut. They taste really good also. If this place was near my home, I'd eat here weekly. Ambiance is minimal, clean and simple. Overall it's a really nice place! Highly recommend it.

This place has been saved on yelp for so long and I finally got to stop by! I loved the decor and all the cute art that's put up, it's definitely a vibe. There's lots a seating, indoor and outdoor so you won't have to worry about that. The service is great, it's a welcoming place you could tell by all the other amazing reviews about Jamie. You could come here for great vegan bodega like food and even better conversation. The chop cheese is a must try, and you'll love the nostalgia of the frito pies. I enjoyed everything about this place I know you will too
