Etra delivers on all fronts. The moody lighting and sleek design make it perfect for a date night, and the service? Immaculate--attentive without hovering.Started with a bottle of Sonoma's L'Orange--bright, refreshing, and the perfect opener. The tuna crudo was simple but the persimmons ate, adding just the right sweetness. The burrata? Unreal. Fluffy, creamy, and the brioche + roe combo was next-level. Rigatoni alla Gricia was solid, but the guanciale carried. The real star? That pork chop. Juicy, tender, and straight-up elite--especially with the potato purée (best mashed potatoes I've ever had). And if you don't order the sticky toffee pudding, we can't be friends. Warm, gooey, with vanilla ice cream--actual perfection. Solid 4.9/5, already planning my next visit.

So happy I was finally able to try Etra! I love Cafe Telegrama next door, so I had high hopes for Etra. I called on a Sunday night, just to try and they were able to squeeze us in without a reservation. Valet parking is available, but we found a meter on the street nearby. Service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive and helpful with any questions about the menu. Food was good. The spicy vodka pasta tasted more tomato based than cream based. I really wished they had a cheesy-cream based pasta on the menu. I definitely want to come back to try the pesto. The steak was delicious -- perfectly cooked and the garlic confit was amazing. Vibe inside is great. Mood lighting and perfect for a date night.

My mom has been begging me to come to this place since we went to Cafe Telegram which is connected to this cute little italian restaurant. I thought it was going to be a generic place with decent food, but boy was I underestimating this place! I dare say one of the best Italian restaurants in LA right now!| F O O D | Beef Tartar 7.5/10- meat melted on each bite Chicories 7.5/10- citrus and PARM!Ricotta Meatballs 7.5/10- 50/50 ricotta and meat which made it bouncy and soft Rigatoni Pesto 8.5/10Spaghetti Pomodoro 8/10Spicy Vodka 7/10 - comes with shrimp which I dont like, but the pasta and sauce itself was really good NY Strip 7/10 - tender, just needed some color and didn't like the mushroom Chocolate Cremou 8/10- thicker than mousseSticky Date Cake 8.5/10- rich and indulgent | A T M O S P H E R E |Tucked behind Cafe Telegram, parking is a pain as you have to valet or show up early like us and snag a quick spot. Super small and comforting inside with a tiny patio which is just the parking lot. Typical dim lighting, but color of walls made it interesting. | O V E R A L L |I was expecting to find this place to be good, but it was amazing and will definitely be back with my family as we all loved it! All the pastas are amazing and nothing was bad that we ordered which is rare for our dining experience because we get a lot. 8.8/10

Ètra strikes a perfect balance between great food, ambience, and service. I've added this place to my rotation as a solid spot for catching up with friends over a drink or a date night. I had the meatballs and spicy campanelle alla vodka (a new addition to the menu). The meatballs were so tender and are served with slices of toasted rustic bread to soak up the marinara sauce. The spicy vodka campanelle with tiger prawns was amazing and outside the box. Highly recommended if you are like me and have tried nearly every spicy vodka pasta that this city has to offer. My only gripe was that the Ghia spritz ($14) I ordered was served in a can to be poured into a wine glass and not made fresh at the bar. To be fair, there is more of an emphasis on wine vs. cocktails on the menu but still. Other than that, the restaurant is incredibly cozy, romantic, and lively for their evening hours. The servers here are so attentive and welcoming too. Parking in this neighborhood can be extremely difficult with limited street parking but so thankful they have a dedicated valet lot right out front.

Has been here twice for dinnerOverall the foods are good and ambience is very cozyFor parking, valet parking is available for $12 or you can find street parkingI do recommend making a reservation as it can get pretty crowdedScampi: I was personally disappointed when I realized the scampi has changed when I went the 2nd time. I really liked the original scampi and it was so crunchy and flavorful. It was also bigger in portion. The new scampi is still good but just not as good as the original one in my personal opinionMeatballs: Recommend it! Comes with bread and very yummyRiganoti: also a great dish to order :) the pasta was very chewy and the cream sauce was a perfect balanceChicken: was okay but nothing specialDorade: was also okay but nothing specialPersonally, I enjoyed their starters and pasta more than their entrees

Nice low and warm lighting. Decent people watching Ordered the following:ScampiRicotta gnudi - small but incredible and so light!Bucatini alle vongolePork chop - must get Chocolate cakeWould recommend

First of all, this place is very hard to see from the street. Follow Google maps and it will lead you to the valet, which is $12. We weren't able to see any signage for the restaurant other than the one on the valet stand. If you're OK with parking in the area, you can probably find street parking depending on the time you go.We had reservations and arrived on time. We still had to wait about 15 minutes for them to set up our table. Once inside, it's a lot smaller than we thought. The ambience is nice and casual. Servers were nice and efficient. It was very warm inside- which was disappointing as it was so hot & humid outside and I was expecting a nice cool place to dine.We had a bottle of white wine and because it was so warm in the restaurant, we asked them to keep the bottle on ice behind the bar (there was no room next to our table).- Meatballs- The server did recommend the meatballs but I thought it lacked flavor and tasted a bit watered down.- Chicories- I enjoyed this. There was lots of cheese on it and was lightly sauced. - Ricotta Gnudi- was fine- Dorade (fish) - was fineOverall our experience was OK. I would come back if a friend wanted to try it but I wouldn't write home about it.

A friend recently hopped me up to Etra, and she snagged a reservation (I hear they are hard to come by). We were greeted and escorted to our table. We ordered the tuna crudo (pictured here) the meatballs and the burratta. The tuna crudo had the most complex delicious flavor and it simply melted in your mouth. Highly recommend it. The meatballs are strictly two ingredients, ground meat and ricotta. They also melt in your mouth. At this point, the name of the place could be "melt. " very apropos. The burratta came as a spread on a thick sourdough bread, with fish roe on top. The fish roe was really overpowering and the hard sourdough really took away from the soft texture of the burratta. Amongst so many hits this was the only miss for me. I will have to return and try the rest of the menu as I'm sure there will be plenty more hits.

This is one of the most disappointing meals I have had in a very long time. The food was unremarkable at best. The service was so BAD. Our server was not helpful with the menu and we felt rushed every minute we were there. Seek food elsewhere.

Etra is nestled behind Cafe Telegrama and even shares some of its staff. Etra really shines, and I'd personally consider it to be the better executed of the two restaurants. I've heard Etra reservations can be elusive, but we were able to easily snag a 6:30 reservation for 2 during Labor Day weekend. We decided to sit at the bar which ended up being a good choice. I hadn't realized Etra was a wine bar, and the selections were excellent. We really enjoyed our white wine, and the bartender was well versed with great suggestions (and generous pours). We ordered the chicories and ricotta gnudi to start. I ordered the Dorade and my partner got the pork chops. My meal was outstanding and priced similarly to other LA spots. The gnudi in particular was a standout. It was so light and fluffy with delicious pesto and tons of basil. The Dorade presentation was plain, but flavor wise they knocked it out of the park. We ended with both of their dessert options which were the Yuzu Posset and Flourless Chocolate Cake. Both were good, but the posset was a must-try. Really creative and melt in your mouth deliciousness!I would be happy to return to Etra
