Rating is teetering between a 3.5/4.I dined at Encanto the other night with my girl friends. It was nice to not have to drive all the way out to Hollywood for a trendy restaurant. The restaurant has a small parking lot in the back (which was full.) Thankfully we found street parking on a side street. No valet available. The ambiance of the restaurant was great! Beautiful bar, dim lighting, and an open concept space. The service was great! Friendly host and our waiter was very attentive to us the whole night. Only thing I didn't like was our waiter was really trying to upsell us on a lot of items. Like A LOT. I actually had not experienced such a push for upselling in a while. As for drinks - I had the Cadillac margarita. The drink was good and strong! My friends ordered a few of the other cocktails on the menu and everyone was satisfied with their drinks. For the food, we ordered a few appetizers and one main. Some of our favorites: chips & guacamole (albeit it was a little salty,) Kona Kanpachi, queso fundido, and the charred skirt steak. Would skip the flautas and rice and beans. We ordered churros for dessert which were also fine, I think I was too full at that point to have a fair opinion about them.Overall my experience at Encanto? Good. I've had better and I've had worse, but it is a nice restaurant with decent food and a higher price-point. Good if you're looking for a meal that's in between casual and super fancy. I'd probably come back and would be willing to try their weekend brunch!

As soon as you step into Encanto, you're greeted by a somewhat confusing aesthetic that feels like an identity crisis. It's attempting to be modern Mexican but features mismatched elements--fake plants, dated wood paneling, a lone Mexican blanket, some wall art that feels more Middle Eastern, and photos of Mexican culture seemingly added to tie it all together. The ambiance left me uncertain about what the restaurant was trying to convey. The service was attentive but lacked warmth. As we settled in, the menu caught our eye with a mix of intriguing dishes at reasonable prices--though the $32 tacos set some high expectations. We ordered two cocktails, skirt steak, aguachiles, and the tacos. The food arrived quickly, which wasn't an issue, but the experience was hit-or-miss. The aguachiles were underwhelming--one-dimensional, with shrimp and crab tasting nearly identical. To make matters worse, the fried tortillas were stale. The skirt steak, however, was a highlight. It was perfectly cooked and paired with one of the most unique and flavorful sauces I've ever had. Unfortunately, the accompanying potatoes were bland, unseasoned, and not crispy--just smashed potatoes with no character. We had to order a side of rice and beans (an additional $10) to compensate for the disappointment. The tacos were the biggest letdown. The fish lacked seasoning, the chicken was dry even though it was sauced, and while the steak was decent, none of it justified the $32 price tag. I've had far better tacos at Granville for half the price, not to mention cheaper street tacos that pack way more flavor. On a positive note, the cocktails were excellent--the guava picante was particularly enjoyable and might be the best reason to visit. Overall, Encanto feels underwhelming for a 4-star Yelp-rated spot.

I have to start off that this place has hospitality. Everyone either pretends to be happy or actually either way the staff was incredible knowledgeable and kind. Joana our kind waitress spent time to help us choose what we wanted. Eli was kinda and second our choice in meals. I enjoy that we came during the week and employee had space to be casual and kind. Eli also had a witty banter and very funny. Everyone here felt very nice genuinely. The food though! Omg it was delicious. I am not sure where to start. The flavors are very unique. I can taste a little Asian in the Baja cuisine. I was informed they have a Japanese chef and he is very talented. The combination of flavor isn't overwhelming subtle and you can taste almost every ingredient without a taste or a bunch of salt. I don't feel this gross fullness after eating here either. Everything was flavorful and delicious. We can't wait to come back. I also enjoy the music selection also. Parking in the back. Ohhhh and $10 draft margaritas that are actually very good and taste fresh.

Came here for a birthday and it was a great time. Service was great! After we finished our chips the server brought out more. The margaritas were a little on the sour side but for $10 all day it really can't be beat. The branzino was flavorful and the skin was perfectly crispy. The potatoes were a must have! The sauce they come in is so good! The street corn was amazing. It melted like butter in my mouth. The oysters were good but not the best. They were a little fishy for me. The flan they brought at the end was so nice and delicious. The place is a touch loud so might be hard to have a conversation but the decor is great. Overall a very cool place! Would come back for a special occasion again!

My wife and I had reservations after attending a dope event nearby! We were excited to eat here because the food looked amazing and there were available reservations! When we arrived, our table wasn't ready so we waited to be seated while others without reservations were sat immediately. Talk about awkward! How does someone with a reservation get sat after several parties walk in with no reservations and are seated before us! Shortly after, we were finally seated! We looked over the menu, which is totally different than the menu on their website and on Open Table! Prices have increased significantly, certain drinks and dishes have shifted, which at first wasn't a problem until the food arrived at the table! Where is the seasoning? Where is the passion in making delicious dishes that doesn't just look good, but actually taste good? There wasn't a pinch of seasoning in any of the dishes we ordered. I literally had to ask for salt and pepper! Started with an appetizer, the Aguachile, which was a joke! The seafood was fresh and tasted like it was straight out of the container, put on a plate and all the sauces and razzle dazzle was added. Nothing was marinated, nothing was salted, nor spiced! Aguachile is typically shrimp marinated in a spicy lime salsa concoction with avocado, sliced onion and cucumbers, and we got none of that. This dish is very misleading! For our entrees, my wife has the Al Pastor Fajitas and I had the whole branzino! Now, typically, fajitas come out sizzling with rice and beans with all the fixings on the side that are included in the price. Y'all, this plate of fajitas was $56 and came with no sizzle with blue corn tortillas, that's it! The side of rice and beans was $10 and again, everything was missing flavor! Like, how? Who is in the back cooking? I ordered the branzino, which was cooked perfectly, and would've been amazing if guess what, it was seasoned properly! Salt and pepper go a long way in dishes! You can't just cook food expecting for the grill or wood oven to be the only flavor enhancer. It doesn't work that way! The bill with drinks was well over $250. We most definitely won't be back! My wife and I are foodies and we love trying different restaurants since we live in the opposite direction of this location. We don't care about the price of something when it's worth it! None of these dishes were worth the price tag or the experience. Also, service was slow and our waiter wasn't very attentive!

Looking for a brunch spot that feels like magic? Encanto in Los Feliz is your next go-to! From fresh, locally sourced ingredients to Mexican-inspired flavors, this place brings all the charm. Their brunch menu is full of delicious options like fluffy chilaquiles, churro French toast, and flavor packed breakfast burritos. don't miss out on their craft drinks too! They also had a long list of mocktails as well which I loved. We loved that there was tons of street parking too in the area. Highly recommend!

Encanto was an upscale, enjoyable dining experience. The food was quite on point, the ambiance was wonderful, and the service was top-notch. Overall I highly recommend Encanto if you're looking for an upscale, high quality meal. I will not that if you're looking for a "standard" Mexican food menu, this is not the place for you so just take a look at the menu before going there. FOOD: we got the pork fajitas, blue corn tortillas, and roasted cauliflower. The meat was cooked perfectly and very tender. The tortillas were just perfect. And the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. I especially liked the carrot puree with the cauliflower.AMBIANCE: the restaurant has a great upscale ambiance. It was a bit loud in the restaurant during peak times so we actually sat outside but the tables/etc were very nice even being outdoors. SERVICE: really great! The server made everything happen perfectly. The food came out quick. And only one time did our water not get filled quickly. But overall they did a great job of refilling/having attentive service considering we were one of the furthest tables from the inside (so they wouldn't see that our water was empty by just walking by) and would have to intentionally check (I also tend to drink a lot of water).

Home of the $10 margarita, Encanto is bringing wood fire Baja coastal deliciousness to LA! Love the upgraded new interior. It's so vibrant and chic. They take their margaritas very seriously. They were so refreshing with a great kick to it.We were told they serve pristine oyster and I couldn't agree more! They were quite palatable. When you go, you must upgrade your guac to the fancy guacamole. The roasted lobster & chorizo on top were brilliant additions. Their Ceviches were fabulous, especially the Roja and leche de Tigre. So fresh with a vibrant citrus tang. Then the main star, Frutos Del Mar. It included lobster, scallops, red snapper and grilled veggies. This was simply phenomenal. Perfectly charred, tender and infused with a robust smokiness. We had to end our dinner on a sweet note, their tres leches take with infused tequila syrup was so unique and their churros were crispy on the outside with a soft doughy center. irresistibly tasty!Shout out to Ruben and Grant for being so hospitable and friendly. Great service! From fresh ceviches to charred asada, Encanto is the perfect destination to relax and enjoy a meal & margaritas with your amigos
