It's such an unassuming space but you can tell immediately that everything is sanitized regularly. The floors and tables were pristine and as soon as you enter, you're acknowledged. They have physical menus but their QR code menus are better because they have photos. The food was fantastic. I ordered the tonkatsu menu and was happy. The breading on the pork wasn't heavy and it was crispy. The meat wasn't dry or overcooked - it was perfectly done and juicy. And it wasn't greasy at all. It was DIVINE.My son had the rice-less sushi that was wrapped in cucumber. That was refreshing, light and just tasty. My husband had the ankimo/monkfish liver sushi. It was different from anything we've ever had but just so flavorful and memorable. We're sure to have that again. He also got the sushi combo 3 and was so full after. Our meal came with miso soups that were delicately flavored. The chef is so even-handed and skilled. A balanced miso soup is not easy to achieve!Even if K Town parking is just horrendous, we decided that this restaurant is worth driving over to. Any restaurant that provides top notch service and reasonably priced but exquisite-tasting food deserves multiple visits! So grateful we found a truly authentic sushi place in LA that doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

A really lowkey great place to grab sushi if you're in the mood for value. I went on a weekday evening with two others and there was only one other occupied table. Service was attentive, gracious, and prompt. The value here is really great for the quality you're getting. The medium size sashimi mix was a great sharing course for us, and I think they gave us a few extra slices. Would definitely order the softshell crab again. Their menu is pretty big, so I am looking forward to going back and trying new items and rolls, which are very reasonably priced. The baked green mussells were fun to try, but I probably won't order again; mostly because I love eating sushi more than baked shellfish.

I was lucky to attend a pop-up El Sushi did at my office building today! There were other restaurant pop-up options. El Sushi was by far the most popular! They offered a wide selection of bowls, made to order: Chicken Karage, Bulgogi Bento, Chicken Teriyaki, Tofu, or Poke!I had the Poke Bowl - several types of sashimi with steamed rice, seaweed, avocado, and a salad. Generous portions. Very fresh and tasty. Service was excellent. Despite being inundated with about 75 people in line as soon as they opened, the staff patiently greeted each customer warmly, made each order fresh and custom, while efficiently keeping the line moving. 100% would get again.

The sushi is absolutely fresh and delicious. The chef makes authentic pieces and the presentation is clean and beautiful. The only downside is the bathroom which isn't the best. But despite me being a sushi snob, I was impressed with the place. The monkfish liver is a must try!

My go-to for affordable chirashi bowls in ktown! Don't expect omakase quality, but you definitely get the most bang for your buck here. Fish is always fresh, well-portioned, and I love the variety. The chirashi bowl, priced at $33 for dinner and $20 for lunch (M-F only), comes with sushi rice, seaweed salad, pickled cucumbers, pickled red ginger, unagi (dinner only), miso soup, and an assortment of fishes that may vary, but usually includes:- salmon- squid- octopus- monkfish liver!!! (my fave)- large scallops- spanish mackerel- tamago- shrimp- yellowtail- spicy tuna- ikuraFor the amount of food and quality of fish, it's a steal! Highly recommend the chirashi bowl.Another honorable mention is the crispy tuna (spicy tuna on crispy rice). It's the best I've ever had and massive for only $7.50.Also, the owner/chef is very sweet and makes me want to help support his business even more. But don't get me wrong, if he was an asshole, I'd still eat here.

This place is a hidden gem! The service is a bit slow because I think it's just a man and his wife that work there and they do everything. But we've been a few times now and everything we've had is delicious! The bento box to the eel roll, everything is fresh and tasty. Highly recommend the udon as well. They have parking for just a few dollars as well, which is pretty unheard of for koreatown!

Had lunch here with two guests. Ordered Fresh Oysters, Chirashi, Bulgogi Bento and Dragon Roll. We were the only diners at 1:00. The place is small. Seems only the Chef owner and his wife. My guest sad the Chirashi was just average and the Octopus was chewy and not edible. The Miso soup was a bit weak. The Bulgogi Beef was o.k. But not that tender. The Dragon Roll was the best dish. The oysters we were told are Pacific Northwest, but he could not tell as the anything more.Other reviews make me question if they are honest. Parking: Valet or street parking. Cash for valet is $3.00Rating: 3 Stars

Excellent sushi! The sushi combo 1 and 2 meals are terrific deals. You get a very well portioned meal and the quality of the fish is really high. Chef clearly puts a lot of care. The space is small but Pleasant especially when it's not busy. Valet parking in the evening is easy. Will be coming back a lot more often.
