Comfort wrapped in intestinal lining stuffed with glass noodles and rice. Phenomenal. I came with a buddy and we MAY have ordered a but much. We got the large soondae combo and a small spicy stir-fried soondae which I thought was going to be not enough so I debated ordering the grilled mackerel, but I'm glad I didn't...sort of. The soup it comes with...I think it's the same soup they use for the soondae soup, had so much flavor and was so warming...damn it...my stomach is growling as I write this. The spicy stir-fried soondae isn't as spicy as a lot of places, which was good for me...OB Bear had an amazing one, but that shit was too much spice for me. This one is very nicely seasoned and has plenty of soondae in it. I love this place and will be back for probably a small soondae combo so I can have some mackerel haha.

Went here after a funeral with a big group of peopleFood was decent, the stir fry soondae was not that good. Sauce was too watery and basically tasted like regular soondae..The soup was OK, nothing specialProbably wont be coming back

I'm no soondae expert, but this is hands down the best I've had so far. The flavor is fantastic, and there's no grittiness at all. The portions are generous, and it still tasted amazing when I steamed it to reheat. The parking lot, however, is a bit of a battlefield--awkward angles everywhere.Despite that, this is definitely my new go-to spot for soondae!

The host and servers are super friendly and homey. It's definitely feels like a hole in the wall shop with authentic Korean food. My friend and I (both non-Koreans) enjoyed trying the soondae combo. The soondae soup was really good and warming. Would definitely recommend the soondae combo for your first time so you can try all their specialty.

Free parking, very friendly and attentive owner/servers, big clean space. The food was pretty good. I wished it was piping hot when it came out and there were veggies in it like shiraegi. The taste was clean though it didn't have that addicting quality to it. But it was a comforting meal.

8th Street Soondae is a true hidden gem! This spot has some of the most authentic soondae I've had outside of Korea.I ordered the small soondae combo, which included soondae, some intestines, and a soup. I don't usually like soondae, but I really enjoyed how chewy and flavorful it was. The meal was filling - a solid spot for authentic Korean food.

I can't do gamey *at all* but I thoroughly enjoyed the Soondae Combo / 순대정식 menu. The skin of the soondae has a snappy texture I like, that I haven't gotten anywhere else (mostly the ones I've tried are quite soft throughout). My partner and I agreed that the insides were a bit crumbly and we would have preferred it be bit more chewy (maybe more moist or sticky?). But we agreed it's the best soondae we've had overall in California. I particularly enjoyed the soup which I usually can't eat due to it being gamey. This one was flavored so well and had great depth.Service was also great - the waitress was kind enough to give us both cold and hot barley tea.Tip: We were a bit overfilled with the large soondae combo. I think a medium soondae combo is enough for two, provided you're also eating the banchan. We enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back!

I'd never had soondae before and am so glad this place was my first experience with it. The restaurant was about half full, so we were seated really quickly. Our server was extremely friendly! She brought us ice water and tea. The three of us ordered one soondae combo, the steamed pork hocks, and a kimchi stew. They were served with a good variety of banchan and the stew was served with rice. Predictably, it ended up being way too much food. But everything was delicious! I was so glad we tried the pork hocks as well. Soondae and pork hocks may not be for everyone, but we really enjoyed both. Light and simple meats with flavor-packed accompaniments.

We ordered pork meat and soon dae in combination with soup. They were so good! My daughter loves the meaty intestine part. She thinks it's just yummy pork. We love this place. We are happy that they deliver.
