Amazing fusion of Asian and British flavors. Such generous portions. Juicy, meaty, savory, touches of sweet. The cocktails are also amazing. Had the opportunity to go with friends and our server was lovely and super attentive. I love when the bottom of my water glass doesn't get empty. It's not a necessity, but it's the attention to detail I really appreciate because it helps with immersing me into the dining experience. I recommend the shrimp toast, duck tacos, hamachi, whatever curry they have at the time [menu changes weekly!], steak, and lamb dishes. Also share their dessert, too. Come with friends - it's easier to share everything. Again, their menu changes weekly, so be surprised and come hungry!

Service was outstanding!! Super warm, knowledgeable, and attentive!! A real team effort was shown by all. Cudos!!Food was hit and miss. The menu has a lot of fun ideas that look very pretty on the plate but the looks didn't necessarily translate into flavor. We tried 8 savory and 2 desserts. Shrimp Toast, Mushrooms, and the Strachiatella were the best dishes. We also tired the Halibut sashimi (cut weird so was hard to chew), crab noodles, their house roll, duck tacos (fat under rendered so too chewy when eating), and the Fish & Chips. Dessert were Pot a Creme and Tres Leches. The later was the better of the two.The space is really nice. Amazing to see the transformation. Perfect for the concept.

After walking through the very cool massive front door, you will notice the very sleek room with high ceilings with wood. Great looking place with nice touches throughout. Pamela was great and helped us pick how many dishes to get. We ended up getting too much but that was on us. Cocktails were the highlight for me. Really nice mezcal negroni. Had a nice kick too. The shrimp toast was interesting in a good way. Very different than what I'm used to but tasty and luxurious. The chili wontons sounded basic but I really enjoyed the Sichuan pepper flavor. Skewers were a winner. Big flavor from the two types on meat and a nice sauce to cut the fat. I would skip the two duck tacos for $24. Yes, just two tacos for $12 each with hardly any duck in them. Hard pass. The Rendang was ok but I prefer the version from Cobi. Free parking in the lot next door. Yes, shocking for Santa Monica but a nice surprise.

Edgemar is a beautifully decorated and classy restaurant with a courtyard in front. The ambiance is vibrant and spacious. Outside seating facing the courtyard is very nice with ample heaters to keep warm and is dog friendly. Our server Wes was awesome. He knows the menu really well and was able to give detailed descriptions of the various items. He said he's tried them all. He's very nice and friendly but not overly talkative. The menu is really creative and Asian fusion. Their chef is from London and their sous chef is from Malaysia. The five of us shared two orders of Shrimp Toast, an Adobo Collard Green, the Fish and Chips, Short Rib Rendang, and the Tomahawk Steak. We shared a piece of Tres Leches cake for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious! The Shrimp Toasts were perfectly crunchy and filled with shrimp, sesame seeds, and ikura. The Short Rib Rendang was slightly spicy and really tasty. The sourdough naan that came with it added a nice touch and was perfect for dipping in the sauce. The Tomahawk Steak was amazing. It had a fragrant pho aroma because they used the spices used to make pho for marinade, but it was a nicely cooked steak.Overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience.

First, the place is gorgeous. Ambiance, great. Service was great as well. But I was disappointed with the food as was my friend. The shrimp toast was the best thing we ate. But my friend had the beet salad and she felt it was super salty. I had the stratiatella but it felt like too soupy to be a solid dish. And we shared the lobster fried rice. We had to ask to add some kind of sauce to it for flavor. But to be fair, the server recommended other things but I had read the reviews off yelp and thought to try what people were raving about. Next time I will trust the server haha. Would have taken food pics but it was dark and I did not want to ruin the ambiance with flashes.

As a long time Santa Monica resident, I have watched the city deteriorate since COVID with businesses leaving and the 3rd St promenade looking forlorn Main St, a traditional location for bars, boutiques, and clubs, has also taken a hit. Enter Edgemar, located in a 1928 former warehouse with original wood posts and trusses providing a spacious and airy feel, in the Edgemar complex designed by Santa Monica wunderkind Frank Gehry in 1984, formerly occupied by Röckenwagner and another restaurant. The vibe is relaxed, hip, and upbeat with a techno background and plenty of energy from the guests. Tables and seating border on luxurious with velvet benches and polished stone tabletops. The place is crawling with servers and busboys ensuring prompt and friendly service. The menu is creative with unusual takes on familiar sounding foods. The Stracciatella was made with honey and a bit of fire, served with their outstanding housemade flatbread. Although tasty, it was a bit sweet for a starter. We next had the eggplant served on nits skin with romescu, a raw vegetable mix, that was somewhat at odds with the smooth eggplant. Although the skin yielded a nice smoky flavor, give me a well made baba ganoush on homemade pita any day. The main was the shrimps in ruby curry. The four shrimp tasted fresh and were in the shell that separated cleanly, a plus. The curry had an undefinable flavor that was pleasant but the rice tasted old and was skimpy, requiring us to spring $4 for another portion, and leaving us longing for the fragrant basmati and similar rice varieties served in Indian, Thai and similar restaurants. When you visit, walk around the complex to savor the iconic work of world-class Santa Monica architect Frank Gehry , whose early work feature modest materials such as chain link and stucco, a far cry from his more recent stainless and titanium masterpieces. The outdoor scene with flickering heaters and candles backed by century old wood beams is rare indeed for this area, creating a magical setting for an outdoor meal. Stop by for a cocktail or a date and have fun. The food is clearly a work in progress and will likely improve.

The service was great! We had brunch so we shared a few small plates. Food was alright. Their lychee vodka was good! The brunch menu is limited. Perhaps we would go there for dinner.

I've been for weekend lunch and dinner and LOVED both! Lunch: They have a triple cooked wedge potatoes with this INSANELY good curry dipping sauce. The breakfast burrito was great too and it came with a vibrant green sauce and an AMAZING smoky red sauce that I wanted to bathe in! Apparently they hired the sauce person from Felix and she seems worth it! The fish tacos were awesome as well and impressively portioned. *****Dinner: They still have those bomb potatoes with the curry dipping sauce. The Shrimp Toast was crave worthy and we also loved the lobster fried rice. Excellent drinks too! The space: it's a gorgeous setting in a Frank Gehry-designed space! Fun vibes and even well lit. Fantastic addition to restaurant row on Main Street!
