Had the sage sausage sandy and a winter special, pan con chicharron. Also got a golden milk. Everything was tasty but the chicharron was so good with herbs and onion and a spicy Peruvian sauce. Too full for dessert but will have to try them next time. -Very personable service-Cute shop with lots of outlets as a bonus

On a weekday morning, it's not too busy. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor & they're dog friendly too. I ordered the bacon breakfast sandy with a side of potatoes & some pastries to go. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The bacon breakfast sandy had crispy bacon and a runny egg- perfect size if you're not super hungry (it's on an English muffin). The side of potatoes are delicious with a sauce that has a little kick. I also ordered some sweet pastries to go- they rotate the flavors/fruits. They definitely have more sweet options for pastries than savory ones. Great place to come with your dog or meet up with friends for a meal. Parking- street parking

First off, let me just say that I firmly believe that may initial impression of Doubting Thomas' food won't hamper me from coming for Round 2. These thoughts are limited to our order but everything else looks so good that I am almost certain I will find something to love. However on this go-around, I left with..doubt! Pros: Sage Sausage PATTY - was incredible! I was excited to try this. Sweet pork with sage is such a wonderful combination plus the pepper gave it life. The egg was perfectly runny and the mixed greens w/ whole mustard dressing was perfect. Hot chocolate - Kid LOVED it! He nearly swallowed the mug it came in. Avocado toast MASH - the mash was perfect. It had chunks, lemon and red onion. I removed the radishes because radishes scare me. Otherwise the mash is excellent. The portion was huge. Scone - was good! Pretty standard but good. Cons: Sage Sausage BISCUIT - If you tie a biscuit to a moving car, I have been known to give chase. I love biscuits. So naturally, I wanted to love this one. But. BUT. It was somewhat undercooked, and I could taste the dough in the middle. Which was a turn off. And it wasn't flaky nor buttery. I dissembled my biscuit and ate everything else but the bread part. Sad. Cappuccino - some people like the tart taste of coffee beans, I don't. I gave mine to my husband. Avocado toast TOAST - The bread had seeds everywhere! and it wasn't toasty. Everytime I bit into it, a big ole'seed got in the way. Oopf. **Clearly, each dish had a pro and con, which is why I ended up with 3 stars. Right in the middle. But again, I would come back because anyone can tell this place has amazing things; I just need to eat whats talking to me.

I ordered takeout from Doubting Thomas today through their online service and it was easy peasy! When I went to pickup the location is super cute with lots of space and was a popular spot for sure. Everyone was super friendly/great customer service and the pastry cabinet was sooo tempting. I got the Pork Belly Rice Bowl (1000% will be ordering this again) and an iced matcha with almond milk. I will absolutely be back to eat here this place is a gem (+ plenty of surrounding free street parking).

Went here for a Sunday brunch. The vibes were so cute inside! The service was great and everyone was so friendly. My latte was fantastic - the espresso was so smooth and delicious. The burrito was okay. As someone who has had a lot of breakfast burritos in LA, the burrito was decent but not amazing. It was very spicy for some bites (and I like spice, but this was kinda a lot), and I wish the tortilla and potatoes were crispier. Overall though, I enjoyed coming here and would definitely come back to enjoy a latte with a good book.

I really liked this coffee shop in historic Filipinotown. The main issue is parking is hard to find. The streets are busy, so jay-walking takes patience. I wish I got a pastry, but this just means I need to make another visit. I got the doubtless breakfast burrito $16, and it was so so good. I got it take away, so they packed the salsa in a separate little container. I thoroughly enjoyed this burrito. The coffee I got was the fig leaf cream cold brew. The fig leaf smelled so good, but I think I would rather enjoy cold brew without heavy cream. I would come back! The server was really nice. He was smiling a lot.I saw a lot of people working on laptops and maybe spotted a few outlets here and there. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating available.

Came for brunch and it was a great experience! We got the Thomas breakfast - bacon could be better, saltier (no taste for the most part), and thicker. But the eggs were great and biscuit was good. Got the doubtless burrito -- so delicious. A little oily but that is to be expected. The green salsa (chili verde?) was bomb!! Latte was also surprisingly well made! Very well done overall! Service was very quick, even though the restaurant was busy during Sunday brunch time.

Food: when you come here, you HAVE to try their passion fruit pie, strong passion fruit flavor with more tartness than sweetness, just the way I like it. Other bakery items like banoffeee, chai chiffon were also great! My boyfriend ordered doubtless burrito, the meat juice was just overflowing. I ordered biscuits and gravy, which was so warm and comforting, and my boyfriend kept stealing bites out of mine hahaPrice: entree cost about $14-19, drinks cost about $4-7, each bakery item cost about $7-9, which I think are all very reasonable for the quality of food/dessert you get hereAmbiance: very hip, modern brunch place with lots of seating, but also very very crowded and busy. There were some people working inside with their laptop, most people were with their group of friends or with their partner, enjoying weekend brunch together. Most customers were on the younger side, quiet fashionable, but still on the casual sideService: good service, they give you number to take to your table, and serve you food when it's ready. Water and utensils and napkins are available to take to table yourself. Parking: limited parking spot, had to park about a block away and walk about 5 minutes to the restaurant. We had to circle around 2-3 times to find a spot, but at least the street parking we found was free!

Doubting Thomas thought Jesus wasn't real when he resurrected. Don't make that rookie mistake and doubt the quality of brunch here. For starters, it's an order then sit yourself kind of place.Okay, now let's talk food:Doubtless breakfast burrito is hefty af. Pork, eggs, potatoes, etc all combines to make you nice and bloated. Oh but yeah, it's great tasting too.Biscuit and gravy was surprisingly really good though. It's literally in the name but it was so rich and savory I could have just drank the gravy and called it a day. Highly recommend this if you have stomach space for it.Passionfruit pie, along their other pastries, are kind of the main attraction here. Passionfruit pie was amazing, just pure decadence and perfection. Everything else is amazing too but the passionfruit pie is a must have, just saying. And I'll close with that.

Their service was amazing, and their oyster mushroom rice bowl was one of the best experiences on my vacation! I also enjoyed their iced matcha latte with cold foam, and the lime zest on top was an amazing touch to an already perfect drink!
