For last several years when ever we are in LA, we drop by to this place at least once or twice. We love their foods, all the items are delicious! They are always busy but the staff are nice and friendly. We will come back again when we are in LA. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel the store is not clean enough and they really need to do something about it very quickly. Other than that, really like this store and recommend it.

Great service! Walked around and found lots of delicious goodies, good for frozen foods and some vegetables and fruits like mangos and bittermelon.

Five stars for serving Bangladeshi food only! Keep the place clean, please - it is dirty all around! Please learn to provide good service - customers are paying for their food and service! Best of luck!

If I could leave a negative star, I would. The people working here are incredibly seemingly purposely disrespectful for no reason, it's like they don't want you to shop with them and it might be true. I came the first time and no one would help me and refused to even acknowledge me in line waiting to grab some desserts. They kept helping people that would come in after me. I knew exactly what I wanted to buy as I'm quit familiar with the cuisines, so no question to even ask. The first time I left with nothing because they were so rude. However I wanted to give it another chance since it's close to my home. Same thing this time. I came in and was the only person in the store at the time. The person on shift was having a conversation outside with another fellow. Again knowing what I wanted to grab, I waited a few minutes patiently for him to come in to help me. After waiting a while, I had to go out and ask for helped. Annoyed he came in after another minute. I had to ask for my items I wanted twice because as people started to come in he almost instantly started to ignore me and started asking other people what they wanted before finishing up with me. Having gone the first time with one of my Indian friend and their bill coming to $15 and them charging me $25 for the same exact items, I will never go here again and advise to try some of the many other spots in the area. I would advise not wasting your money and time here. Absolutely the worst people running this joint.

I am reviewing for their food options rather than their grocery selection, as my wife and I just looked around while deciding on our main food. The aesthetic of the mart is very focused on Bangladeshi/Indian ingredients with the food being the same way. They offer a breakfast special for $5.99 which is a great deal for the LA area. From what I remember it offers a meat selection with rice. My wife and I chose the chicken biryani ($6.99) and a combo plate with potato and fish curry ($9.99).The chicken biryani (pictured) was very basic, not spicy, and was very minimal in its flavors. Not to say it wasn't enjoyable, but it was not an extremely flavorful dish. The fish curry (pictured) was not for those who are new to fishy foods. The fish (I'm not sure which fish it was specifically) was truly fishy which was not particularly enjoyable. It was littered with small bones that were difficult to eat around and remove front the fish. Oftentimes I would end up with one every bite. However, the potato side was quite nice, but I would not recommend the fish curry.Overall, I would say the price reflects what you get in your food: not extremely flavorful, but good for a cheap meal.

Despite raising the prices of food entrees outrageously there is no improvement in quality of food as for example in their biryani they sometimes use low grade of rice instead of long grain basmati rice and they never pour any spice normal to prevalent all over the world like no whole black pepper ,no clove, no cinnamon sticks no elaichi no bay leaf as this is a diverted bengali version of biryani. Also even if they sell meat yet it is cumbersome to prepare paya or nihari even if buyers are ready to buy it. Also if any product is selling frequently they keep raising its price until the customer gives up buying it. They stop selling the product but not keep the same price. They used to carry fruit cake they kept raising the price despite I showed them the receit from other store eventually they removed it from their inventory. Same is the case for pheni they raised price to that extent that another stores are selling the same price .I used to drive 60 miles one way to buy their food but they don't know how to run a successfull business. They repell the loyal customers who are buying for years. They pay more attention to their native country people as they are not familiar with real taste of any dish. So i quit going over there instead i go now once in 6 months as there is no incentive left for me to travel that far and spend money on gas as the same products are available at drastically low price in Artesia at" Pioneer cash carry "at Artesia.

I went there to pick up something for work and decided to get lunch. A woman standing next to me said she'd been driving from Beverly Hills to this spot for 25 years. Between that and the smell I was sold. The man who served me was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious!! it was affordable and the portion for the lunch plate was great. A 10/10 LA hole in the wall for lunch. It's a little out of my way but I will certainly be back. (Will buy a lot and take it home with me)
