What a great new add to the area. Went with our team for dinner before Kings game. Location is great and food was very tasty. I had the Oaxacan enchiladas which obviously had mole but also a twist by adding tinga chicken inside for added smoke flavor and spice. Drinks were handcrafted and great as well.

We really wanted to give this restaurant a decent shot, but things just kept getting worse during our visit. 1. Initial drink order took a very long time 2. No wine list was available. I had asked the server to show me the bottle of the Cabernet they had, and she brought whites. If you like Sutter Home or Bogle Vineyards wine, this is definitely your place. Yuck. 3. Server forgot my entree4. Service was terrible. There was clearly no organization amongst their staff. I would like to note that their restaurant was at MAYBE half capacity. 5. We had a party of four. And at the very end an automatic 20% service fee was added. My partner felt taken aback since he's the one that paid the check. We should've definitely not agreed to it. 6. They definitely have many kinks to work out if they desire to be a successful establishment. 7. Needless to say I will never be returning, but wish them the best of luck.

Friends have been saying positive things about Culturas. Finally made it here last Friday. So happy to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood with great food! Their Peruvian/Japanese take on Latin food is unique, and they do it well. They also did a great job with the interior. And love the tree in the middle of the dining area. Their drinks menu is a work progress, but I expect great things. Will definitely be back.

My partner and I decided to try this place out for Valentine's Day as it's new to South Park and we had a good experience. Starting with the food- it was VERY good. Everything was perfectly seasoned, well prepared, and gracefully plated. We absolutely will be going back to try their full menu. The ambiance was nice, definitely had an upscale feel and the lighting was tasteful. The service was OK- the owner or manager who greeted us at our table was exceptionally kind and very eager to make our time enjoyable. Our server was also very good. However, all the other staff that we interacted with weren't very friendly. I'll attribute this to the Valentine's Day rush and the fact that the restaurant had more tables seated than I've ever seen it have. It also was extremely cold in the restaurant all throughout dinner. I wore long pants, a long sleeved shirt, and a thick sweater and I was freezing. They had the patio doors open the entire time and it was roughly ~55° outside. Many of the other tables seated kept their winter coats on while they ate. That kinda detracted from the experience as it's hard to enjoy your meal when you're shivering. Lastly, the check was much higher than we were expecting. We had one cocktail each, guacamole, an entree each, and dessert- the bill was $300 before tip. Their normal menu seems far less expensive, so I'm not sure why $150 per person was what we were handed. Overall though, it was a good time and we will be back when the patio doors are closed and they are serving their regular menu.

Service is excellent and friendly. Tables are usually always available and they play great tunes. The food is fantastic. Favorites include the salmon wonton tacos, carne asada ribeye, and the mole enchiladas. A spot in DTLA near LA Live. Definitely worth a visit.

I'm so glad to go to a restaurant in downtown LA where the owner and staff are so welcoming and attentive. I've been here three times and the food has been outstanding every time. I'd have to say the carne asada was my favorite- it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I'm looking forward to going back to order this again. My second favorite dish has been the mole enchiladas and the appetizer that stood out to me was the wonton salmon tacos. If they start doing a happy hour, I hope this is on the menu!!
