I came last night for a birthday celebration for my husband because he enjoys barbecue. Overall the food was good but the service and experience was bad. When we first got there they didn't have many of the bar drinks because they were out of liquor. One of my friends wanted Champagne and they didn't have any. So for starters we were unimpressed.I asked for the manager to express my disappointment and she was great in saying they would make it right. Then we were ordering food and were informed that they didn't have any chicken or trip top. There were people in my group who didn't want meat so what were we to do? We were about to leave when the Manager came to tell us they did have chicken and tri tip? What is really going on? So after over an hour we got our food which was good. When we were cashing out our server said we could split the check, the when we tried to pay thet flipped and said we could not split the check. When we said the server said we could, he said the server was wrong and he was going to write him up for that. How unprofessional!!!!Do not come here. Very unprofessional..

Don't come here if you plan on eating. This restaurant is not equipped to handle the kind crowds you get in la live. Waited an hour for the food and they still hadn't started making it. Asked for a manager and no one came. On top of it all the customer service is so rude. A waiter kept saying it would take 7-10 minutes to every table. Disappointing.

Wed, Feb 5 game night. The Montreal Canadians were in town to play the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com at 730pm. My friend and I chose to eat at Craft as we arrived early to LA LIVE. They had menus clipped to a sign outside. We took a few minutes perusing the choices before we put in our name with the kind hostess. We were told that it be a fifteen minute wait.We were escorted to the outside patio. They had the radiant heaters on as it was a cold and damp rainy night. It was going so well until we put in our orders for dinner. OMG, they need more help in the kitchen for prep at dinner rush. They were slammed with fans eating there for pre-game dinner. Our waiter was nice but had trouble remembering who ordered what items. First came our drinks, then came our entrees much much later with minutes spare before pick drop. It was only a two person table but understandable with so many customers. I would have given an additional star of he remembered our order perfectly. We also requested the check after our meals were brought to the table. What a convenient little handy electronic payment gadget! The server obviously didn't care to ask if I wanted a receipt printed or emailed. He just walked away after I signed for the bill. $25 for a bougie salad with two slices of brisket, cranberries, walnuts, and feta! Okay, the server's rec was brisket when I asked him. He was spot on there. The salad was good but not amazingly good at that price and slow service (30 min!) from the kitchen. I over heard a different server give a great tip: best time to eat is after the game starts. It gets packed pre & post game. So, I reached out to Craft for a receipt and Paulina answered my message through their website. I was able to have the receipt sent to my email with last 4 digits of the card that was used. I found out that this place dings you 2x with a 3% service fee and another 3% card charge! I paid 18% tip on an included 3% fee! OMG, that's not cool. Ugh, lesson learned. Pay cash for a 3% discount! LOL.

First time here and the service along with the food were amazing ! Everything was extremely tasty , the portion sizes were more than adequate, and our food arrived in a timely manner - outstanding. As for the ambience, they retained nearly all of the design and accoutrements from ye olde Rock n Fish - bravo ! I'll b back soon :))

Came here for a quick bite before a show at the Peacock theatre. It sounded good at the time.Food:It's a hit and miss. Ordered the TX Style Smoked Brisket Half pound with a side of fried Brussels sprouts and the garlic herb mashed potatoes. The brisket and Brussels were good, but the mashed potatoes taste were a bit off. Couldn't put my finger on what it was exactly, but it had a slight tang? I would not suggest it. The piece of cornbread that came with the meal was a no no for me either.Service:Another hit and miss. Our server waited on tables AND the bar. He was extremely friendly, but the times when he was needed we could not find him or he was busy at the bar. The other servers were quick to help when we asked.Ambiance:Looks like a nice place to grab drinks and small bites. Not too casual, not too formal. I don't think I would go back for an actual meal though.

I had heard good things about this place but was disappointed. Attached a picture of the coconut shrimp that was over fried and dripping oil. Terrible presentation - look like the cook just threw them on the tray. Having mac & cheese and potato salad served in paper cups felt like I was at a fast food place. Waiter came by once and never refilled the water. We tipped 15% but what are we tipping for? Just to be brought our food that feels like we're at a fast food restaurant? Salmon was well cooked and good flavor. The burger was greasy and oily. Cheese steak sandwich lacked flavor. Disappointed and will NOT be back.

I wish there was a 3 1/2. There were some aspects that were great and some that were just meh. We came in on a Friday night at 4:30pm and the place was pretty empty so service was fast. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese and I was super disappointed. The meat was dry, hardly any bbq sauce so I asked for a side but the cheese, where was the 3 cheese, it was a crunchy slab of dried chip cheese. I was expecting gooey grilled cheese with tender brisket and all I got was dry dry dry. The flavors were good but would have liked gooey cheese and the meat to be not cooked to the point of the Christmas vacation turkey (I'm exaggerating but there were a few pieces that I couldn't even chew). On to the good. Waffle fries are excellent if you ask for some ranch, Brussels sprouts excellent as well, they don't even need the Parmesan with the sauce they have on them that is mildly sweet but a perfect combo. My daughter had the salmon and she loved it. For a place the specializes in ribs and brisket this sandwich could have been fire but it was just overcooked ashes.

My dinner experience last night was unfortunately not the greatest and was disappointing to say the least. We got seated right away with the host when we walked in but got seated near the bathrooms and away from most of the other tables. We placed our order for food after looking over the menu but I was wondering why it took around 30 minutes for our food to come out when I've been to other locations and it's served faster. When our food arrived, it was on the colder side and warm at best. My half pound of brisket that I got was cold which was surprising and my mac and cheese that I ordered didn't come right away and it took an extra 5-10 minutes to get. The loaded brisket fries were good but that was the only good food we honestly had.My mac and cheese was warm when they brought it out but I found it surprisingly bland and a bit on the watery side. My friend who ate with me ordered a side of street corn and it was surprisingly bland but also dry and seemingly overcooked. I've had the food at their other locations in Anaheim and the regular Smoke & Fire Social Eatery locations and the food there was way better and what I was expecting. For the price we paid, the food we got was not worth it at all and there were 2 extra 3% fees added to our bill. The service fee was expected but there was also a credit card surcharge added to our bill which I don't usually see. Service was also okay at best as the 2 servers I saw working were dealing with multiple tables and forgetting to check our table and we waited a while to get our check at the end. This location should be passed if you are thinking about getting BBQ in the DTLA area and you should go somewhere else or check out their other location in Arcadia/Anaheim. You will get better service and food there!

Popped in here with a friend for a drink. The Hennything is Possible sounded good, and I was intrigued by the lemon foam. Unfortunately, the bartender told me it wasn't available. At first, I thought he was going to say It was because they were out of Hennessy, but he said their cocktails are on draft and were waiting on delivery of some of the kegs. I asked if he could make me a Sidecar instead and he happily obliged. My friend ordered an Old Fashioned. The Sidecar was tasty, and the Old Fashioned was up there in the top 10. We enjoyed our drinks and conversation. Happy Hour is Monday to Friday 2 pm - 6 pm (also 9 pm to close on Friday) with buy one get one free on Villains Beer, wine, & specialty drinks.
