Best bagels I have ever had! So so delicious and taste so fresh, crispy on the outside. I warn you because once you go you won't be able to stop going, this is my 3rd time there in a month. Yes it's pricey but for a reason, serious life changer! (No glaze) :P

Always so fresh, flavorful, and Absolutely Delicious!I got the Run It Through the Garden and Simply Delicious bagels on a sea-salt sesame bagel, and both lived up to their names! The Simply Delicious was a classic done right, perfectly smoked salmon layered over a generous spread of cream cheese, topped with capers that added a briny punch. The bagel itself was perfectly baked with a crisp exterior, chewy interior, and just the right touch of sea salt. Each bite was a harmonious balance of salty, creamy, and savory goodness. The Run It Through the Garden was vibrant, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, thinly sliced red onions, and fresh dill came together beautifully, all atop a layer of creamy cheese and sprinkled with capers for that extra pop of flavor. It is a light yet satisfying, perfect for a refreshing breakfast or lunch. Both bagels were thoughtfully prepared and visually appealing. The sea-salt sesame bagel was the perfect base, adding a touch of crunch and a hint of saltiness that elevated every bite. The presentation was simple, clean, and inviting.Service was friendly, quick, and efficient, making the experience even better. Whether you're a bagel aficionado or just someone looking for a fresh and delicious meal, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back !!!!

The good: a very tasty meal, coffee was delicious and refreshingAnd that's about it for me. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, and either they gave me the burnt everything bagel or all the everything bagels are burnt - regardless, I didn't care for it. That and the cream cheese looked slapped on.The simply bagel was soooo good and fresh, but there's just no way I would wait super long or pay that much for it. If either of those things don't bother you, definitely check it out!

I am hunting for the best bagels and this was a fine contender.Courage has achieved a lot of hype so expect a queue. They often have a weekend queue up the road. On a Sunday at 11:15am, we waited 30 minutes to get served and then another 30 minutes for our food. The service was fine. The ambiance was not great considering you have to sit on the kerb on a fairly main road to eat your bagels. It was a buzz though, as it was busy and popping. I did like that they provided parasols. The bagels were nice enough. I liked that the menu felt very homemade and considered. The fact that you can get a half bagel is fairly good, especially for someone with a small appetite. I had the Run it Through the Garden, but I found it quite oily. I wasn't sure about the waxy finish.Be aware that this area isn't the easiest to park and you will need to find a road spot.

I went on a weekday morning, there wasn't a long line like the weekends. I ordered the "run it thru the garden" on an everything bagel. The veggies were all fresh and I loved the olive oil on top. The bagel was nicely toasted and had that crunch when you bit in to it. They have little outdoor tables and chairs to eat at and are dog friendly. Great place to grab a morning bagel on the week days, but I wouldn't wait 30-45 min in line on the weekend just for a bagel. Parking- street parking

Would I pay $12 for half a bagel and wait an hour? Probably every once in a while. I understand the hype -- the bagel was so perfectly chewy and flavorful. I got the hand sliced smoked salmon on a sesame bagel without tomato. The olive oil and cream cheese and lemon together made the lox bagel so much more elevated and now I am inspired to try it myself. The line moves decently fast but the longest time spent waiting is after placing the order. It's outdoor-only seating but people move in and out of spots really quickly so you likely can find somewhere to sit when you are actually actively eating. I stepped in to use the restroom and their insane assembly line of employees is definitely cool to look at. It is outrageously expensive though, even for LA...

That's a good bagel!Courage Bagels is a small sidewalk cafe with a pop-up window for orders and outdoor seating with shade umbrellas.I ordered the Roe! half on a plain bagel with cashew cream cheese. The bagel, itself, was very flavorful with a touch of coarse salt. It had a nice chew that added texture. The cream cheese was delightful, a little sweeter than a regular cream cheese, but not by much. The row was very fresh and added some tang and pop.Service was pretty fast on a Friday morning. There were probably around 20 people waiting for their orders and another 20 people seated to eat.Pro-tip: Parking on Virgil Ave is nearly impossible unless you tack-on a trip to a nearby grocery store with a parking lot. Try parking a few blocks away near Hoover St.

My friend and I came here on a Sunday for brunch! Parking was wild per usual because it's Silverlake so leave enough time to find parking. There was a line so be warned! I ordered the hand sliced smoked salmon and the cream cheese tomato, added sardines and an iced matcha. The food came out to $32 which is pricey for bagels but fortunately the food was delicious. The bagel isn't as dense as your typical bagel. Sitting is available al fresco on the side. I did like the food overall and would recommend people to try it with the caveat that it is a bit pricey. It definitely feels like a treat that I will par take in occasionally.

Everything you've heard about this being the best bagel in Los Angeles is true. If you're looking for a sourdough type bagel this is where you have to go. Be prepared to wait in line (it's worth it). I haven't tried their drinks but I will get them next time cause they looked delicious. We enjoyed every bagel but our favorite was probably the smoked salmon or the tomato. The sweet one with PB AND J was also a nice flavor change.

Legit bagels. Crunchy outside, soft on the inside.Perfect. This is definitely a two person operation if you drive here since parking is tough, one to wait in line while the other looks for parking. From the time I got in line to the time we got our bagels, it was just under an hour but felt the time went by fast. We ended up ordering the white fish salad bagel on a extra toasted everything bagel, the smoked salmon on a poppy seed bagel, the almond butter and jam bagel, the garden bagel and a few loose bagel with cream cheese on the side. All super good but the standout was the white fish salad bagel. We also ordered lattes but they were just okay, would recommend getting beverages at a near by coffee shop and just sticking with the bagels here. They also have small tables with little stools on the sidewalk, usually packed but we didn't have to wait long for a table to become available.
