Country Style Jamaican Restaurant

The food is exquisite and extremely flavorful. They give you options for plate size, we always pick the bigger plate enough for two meals for the price you are paying. Hands down BEST meat pies!! The location is very small and not a place you can sit down with friends to eat. It's more of an order and go. A con I would point out is their service it is not all that great, workers there are not as welcoming but we still go only because their food tastes great Lol.

Sunday, Feb 2nd was not their best day. I came in the early afternoon. I got an oxtail plate- the oxtail were not tender, and lacked flavor. The veggies were hard (not steamed long enough) the plantain were overcooked/burnt and not fresh, and the curry chicken patties crust/dough was under cooked (when I peeled the crust back it felt like a sponge) yuck. I am good on this place. Another time I came I got the curry shrimp, shrimp were rubbery and the curry lacked seasoning.

As soon as you walk in, you know that this place is the real deal. Jamaican music is bumpin', the workers are dancing and taking loud, playful jabs at one another, and the whole place is buzzing with upbeat, neighborly, block-party type of energy. It's a vibe inside. So I had a feeling that the food would be bomb. Guess what. It was. So much smokey flavor and spice with every bite. The curry goat was probably the most tender and tasty Carribean style goat that I've had. Everything hit the spot. If you're stuck between what to get, then get the combo. I was so happy to be trading bites between the jerk chicken and the curry goat. I'd love to try the oxtails next time. No seating inside. But I would eat Country Style's food out of my car weekly if I could.

Food was SOOO good I will be back. The cashier was also so friendly she suggested to get the pineapple ginger juice and that was also so refreshing. Came pretty close to closing and they still had oxtails! Awesome service and awesome food. Will have to get an extra side of plantains next time they were so sweet and perfect. All around every single item was so good.

Got the 2 meat combo with oxtail, jerk chicken, rice & peas and potato salad. It was SUPER yummy, definitely satisfied the cravings. It comes with enough gravy on the rice. The oxtail was cooked perfectly and fell off the bone without much prying. Potato salad gave it variety and balances the saltiness of the meat. This is a takeout restaurant as it only has seats for waiting customers, so we just ate in the car.

I came by again this weekend, and the food is still amazing. I got curry chicken for my fiance, and he loved it. We normally get the jerk chicken, but we decided to try the curry, and whew! Amazing! You cannot go wrong with anything here.

I still live the food it's so yummy. The service though absolutely terrible. The ladies that work the counter are extremely rude. Nasty faces not pleasant or welcoming at all. Having a mouth full of food talking to me then getting irritated when I can't understand. I love the food but the unnecessary rudeness is a No for me

Caribbean food is on point lots and lots of flavor. If you're ever visiting Inglewood, you must order and pick up. You will not be disappointed, that's a promise!! I've tried the fried chicken (fire), Curry Goat, Stew Chicken and Oxtails ands I keep coming back for more lol. All sides are fresh and delicious and favorable!! Enough said, don't miss out!

Unfortunately, this was probably the worst Jamaican food I have had in LA.The customer service was excellent, the lady was very nice and helpful...but the food was bad.Extremely dry chicken with barely ANY seasoning. Rice and beans were very dry with barely any seasoning. Cabbage tasted like only butter and salt.Plantains were okay, festival bread was small, hard and greasy.I came because of the reviews, but unfortunately, it was really not good and I had to throw it all away.Spent over $40, won't be back.
