I have driven past this restaurant plenty of times. I am so glad I gave it a chance. My husband (vegan) and I were craving Mexican food and this hit the spot! Amazing options for vegan and non vegans! The vegan tortilla soup and sweet potato taquitos were delicious. Definitely recommend! For appetizers we also had the vegan queso and salsa. I wish the salsa was a bit chunkier but it had a great flavor. It is a smaller establishment but we went around 5 and got a seat at the bar. Make a reservation and o be safe. This is now on our restaurant rotation. :)

My review is more like a 2.5. We were going to Casa Blanca , but it was closed so we came here because of the great reviews. I guess we all have different palates and opinions on what good Mexican-ish food should taste like. Service was good. The barbacoa and steak were good. Chicken tinga was okay. Salsa (which they charge $5 for) tasted like it came out of a bottle and the salsa in the chilaquiles was bland - no flavor tasted more like tomato paste .My son loves chilaquiles and he was very dissatisfied with the ones they served at this restaurant. Also -had to add salt to the guacamole. Waffles were good .Overall , it wasn't bad bad- it was just okay . I am Mexican so we don't like bland food - we want food with some actual flavor.

Food quality: 5/5Presentation: 4/5Attention to detail: 4/5Service: 5/5Vibes: It's pretty inside, but is quite packed and loud.Value: 5/5Times been: 3Return? YesHonestly, I am surprised this place isn't hovering around 4.5-4.6 stars. I've always had a good experience here. I've tried almost every taco by now (sometimes I forget to take pictures), and I've been happy with every taco every time. One of the things that really surprises be about this place is that the steak taco is actually good. I am a very tough 'grader' when it comes to steak, so I am impressed that their steak taco is actually something I would order.Overall, this place is worth trying, and is great for a first date, casual meal with friends, or anything really! (I'll post pics when I can find them)

I had the pepino margarita, Vegan Mushroom Carnitas Taco, Steak Taco, tortilla soup, and esquites. I thought the food was average. We specifically didn't like the esquites and they kindly took them away. I was expecting it to taste more like elote, but it didn't at all. The food was just lacking the flavors of traditional Mexican cuisine you'll find elswhere. The service was good, but I wouldn't go back for the food.

Blown away! The only reason i haven't given it 5 stars (yet) is that I haven't tried more than 3 items on the menu. So let me give a quick shout out to the highlights:1) Pescado (fish) tacoDelish. Definitely one of the best I've had, ranking a solid 9/10 for all the best fish tacos I've had in LA.2) Tinga de Pollo (shredded chicken) tacoOMG..... this was the 11/10. Probably THE best chicken taco I've ever had. Sure it's drippy and juicy, but so is amazing sex. If this is the only taco you'll ever have, you've lived life to its fullest.3) Pumpkin pie spiced churrosAt first, I thought they looked like chemo-therapy shishito peppers, but all that initial hesitation disappeared when I dipped them in the salted coconut-coffee caramel sauce. Very solid 8.5/10, and an excellent finish to my lunch.Service is impeccable. We were served by Tony, who made our entire lunch felt like we were at his house. Warm, welcoming, and a fantastic conversationalist. Will definitely be back here for more!

I went a while back.. it just has been a while since my last review! My friends and I decided to meet up on their patio. I originally made a reservation of I think 6-8, and a couple of extra people came last minute (sorry to our then server!). We made it work and just all sat close. Our server had our food and drinks come out with a quickness and didn't miss a beat. The restaurant is small, but cute and somewhat intimate if you want a more quiet date night during the week, or after work drinks. The vegan queso definitely didn't taste like cheese, but I still couldn't help but continue to eat it because it did have an interesting taste. The steak taco, bomb. The mango margaritas super bomb. I'll have to go back soon!

Ambiance has a beautiful outdoor seating that is covered, but still lets in a little sunlight. My perfect outdoor seating in my opinion. The staff were super nice and the place is small so it makes a cute lunch spot. We went for brunch and the food was perfect. Vegetarian items on the menu, but for me that means that it is clean. What I mean is mexican cuisine is usually greasy with fried tortilla chips and lots of cheese. This was the opposite a clean and filling mexican spot. The chips were almost like baked tortilla chips that you tear apart yourself to dip in their amazing salsa. The quesadillas are like traditional each wrapped like a taco, but with cheese. The sauce on top made the dish complete as the tortilla was pretty thick which would have made the dish pretty dry. The meat was tender as well. The only downside was the taco was bland which was funny cause that is what the waitress recommended. I will definitely come back as some of the items like the bowl we saw going around looked SO GOOD!

This little spot was so tasty that my husband and I came back several times while we were in town. We loved the design of the place with both inside and outside seating, as well as thoughtful artistic touches. Service was attentive and swift, and food presentation was on point. There are a lot of delicious options for vegans, vegetarians on top of the typical meat selections, which is a plus.We tried the Barbacoa, Tinga de Pollo, and Pescado Tacos with a side of black beans. The entrees were perfectly sized- not too big, and not too small so you don't end up leaving feeling like you've eaten too much. The guacamole came out quickly and was refreshing to the taste. Lastly, the red wine selection was a fabulous Pinot that went over well with the food. We will be coming back next time we are in the neighborhood!

Items ordered: vegan nachos, elote, fish taco, cauliflower taco, steak, guava juice, churrosValue: Prices are standard for the areaService: Wonderful! Staff are accommodating and knowledgeable .The Review: Nachos 5/5, Fish taco 5/5 (my mom said it's be best she's had in her life), cauliflower taco 3/5 (cauliflower texture is odd for tacos). Ambiance is 5/5 for the outdoor easy breezy vibes. The biggest issue for us was their steak. They said they could cook it however we wanted. After asking for medium plus, it came out very well done, we sent it back and asked for "red inside", came back extremely well done once again. Especially at this price point, people should be getting what they prefer, and not having to waste a cow to do so. The guava juice was awesome. Churros were lovely and crispy but the dipping sauce was bitter. Would definitely return and stick with fish or something vegetarian. Tons of gluten-free and plant-based options. I was in Heaven. Great spot!

Chose this as a dinner date with a friend on a Thursday evening, parking was very tricky, we ended up having to walk about a block back. Did not see a designated parking lot for the restaurant, but the street itself is quite small. The hostess asked us if we had reservations, which we didn't, and we were still seated immediately. We were given water without having to ask, which I always appreciate. We chose to share the ceviche and four tacos: the asada steak, chicken tinga, mushroom, and the cauliflower al pastor. My favorite of the four tacos was the asada, with the cauliflower tacos a close second. For drinks I tried a guava agua fresca, which had more of a limeade with a guava after taste. The ceviche was delicious, not too citrusy and fishy at all. Would go back just for the ceviche!
