Finally had a chance to try this hyped place!! I have big party of 9 and waited around an hour before we get in. They have claw machine to play while waiting and no outside food or drinks allow in the restaurant. All the skewers price is $1.10 which is totally worth it. It's self service for the skewers and water. We can pick as much as we want and they have plenty of options on the meat including wagyu beef, chicken, lamb, pork, and even chicken heart. They also have a lot variety of sausage, fish cake, shrimp, squid and veggies. The meat is fresh and the quality is excellent!Besides the skewers, they also have other menu like rice, noodles, soup, and drinks that we can order from their website. On the table, they also provide 4 kind of seasoning for the skewers. At the end, the server will count the skewer sticks and give the total of the bill. The server is nice and friendly. The restaurant is clean but the chair is so low. lol So for the bbq lovers, this place is awesome and worth to try!!

Great place to get small bites! Each skewer (regardless of the meat) is $1.10 which is really affordable. They have lots of variety including wagyu skeweres, lamb, short rib, shrimp (etc). It's self serve and the skewers don't come pre-seasoned so you do have to season everything yourself after. In addition, they have a separate menu for food if you're interested in things other than skewers. Service is quick and skewers are self serve, but keep in mind you may need to eat a lot of skewers to be full.

Skewers are self serve and they're all $1. With their membership you can get the seasonings for free which isn't a bad deal to give up my info for in their app haha. You can earn points across all their restaurants with it so not too bad if you're running the gauntlet with chubby group restos.I tried a lot of different meats here but I absolutely loaded myself up with cartilage and chicken skin because I love the texture. We ended the night with something like 70 skewers for 3 people. The waitress told me people usually average 15-20 which I needed to know where I stood in their average. Only thing I didn't like was how my knees hit the table cus the seats and tables are really low. I know it's the ambiance and aesthetic of this type of food but is a little uncomfortable.

Not our favorite chubby group restaurant unfortunately :/Skewers are $1.10 typically with a ~$2 per person fee.For chubby plus members: skewers are $1 and the fee for the charcoal/spices is waived for your party. I was supposed to get a free chubby tea as the waiter convinced me to upgrade my membership but I was confused and he didn't offer it. Not sure how the membership totally works but it was a worthwhile upgrade for me because it was only $8 to upgrade for a year and my savings were $6.Our favorite skewers were pork belly, scallop, lean + fat wagyu, lamb, and rib finger. The spices are all great! The ambiance itself is where chubby skewer loses stars. The table is very low. If you're over ~5'4, it's so uncomfy to put your legs under the table and you can't rly scoot back and leave your legs out because you'll run into the person behind you :/ they also use paper plates. Everything is pretty much self service including grabbing water except for when they bring your bill.

Fun place to eat skewers! Each stick was $1.10. The A5 wagyu was tasty although it could be tender beef skewers. I did not see marbling on the meat but it was tiny and so good. The shrimps and wings are held by two sticks so thats $2. This was also delicious. They have many other meats that you grab yourself and the charge is at the end of your meal.I added seasonings to give it more flavor. They all take a while to cook. The seats are very low. The bathrooms a one stall.

Chubby Skewers offers a unique dining experience that's definitely worth trying, but there are a few things to keep in mind before you go. If you're a fan of Korean BBQ-style dining where you cook your own food at the table, you'll feel right at home here. The concept is simple and fun--you pick your skewers, and then you cook them yourself over a small flame at your table. The best part? Each skewer is just $1, so you can try a variety of different meats and snacks without breaking the bank. The menu has a pretty wide selection of skewers, with everything from your classic meats to more adventurous items like duck tongue. I was a little skeptical about the duck tongue at first, but honestly, it wasn't bad at all! It had a nice flavor, and I actually kind of enjoyed it. There's also a good variety of meats, from chicken to beef to pork, as well as some veggie options. I appreciate how they have both familiar and more off-the-beaten-path items, so there's something for everyone to try.The downside, however, is the cooking process. The grilling area at the table is pretty small, so you're left with limited space to cook multiple skewers at once. On top of that, the flame is very low, which means it takes quite a while to cook the skewers, especially if you're hungry and want to eat quickly. You'll find yourself hovering over the grill for a bit longer than you might like, and it can feel a bit like a waiting game. If you're not in a rush, this might not be a huge issue, but it's definitely something to be aware of.Another thing I noticed was the seating arrangement. The tables are traditionally low to the ground, which isn't a problem for everyone, but at 6'4", I found it uncomfortable after a while. It's not the end of the world, but if you're on the taller side, it might be something that makes your meal a little less enjoyable. It would be nice if they offered some taller seating for those of us who aren't so great at sitting cross-legged for long periods of time! The line is another factor worth mentioning. When I visited, the place was packed, and the line moved very slowly. It wasn't a huge surprise since it's a popular spot, but I'd recommend going during off-peak hours if you want to avoid the wait. The slow-moving line definitely contributed to the overall feeling of things moving at a leisurely pace, which can be frustrating if you're starving.Despite these minor inconveniences, the food itself is pretty solid. The skewers are tasty, and the whole concept of grilling at the table is a fun way to enjoy your meal with friends or family. It's a nice change from the usual dining experience, and I'd recommend it if you're in the mood for something a little different. Just be prepared for the wait, the slow cooking process, and possibly a bit of discomfort if you're tall. If you can look past these things, Chubby Skewers is a fun spot with delicious food that I'd definitely visit again--just with a bit more patience!

I have been here twice now, and although I loved it the first time I went I was quite disappointed the second time. The biggest problem I had this visit was when I tried to order noodles through their QR code, and they never ended up coming. I was never notified about this until after I waved down a worker for the second time 40 minutes into our dinner (btw they never checked up on our table besides sitting us down in the beginning). It turns out that something was being remodelled in the kitchen and they were unable to make the noodles. That's fine, but I wish they told us they would be unable to make my order because I was sitting waiting for my order.I will say, the skewers taste is still awesome and they are still quite value at 1.10 (used to be $1). They have definitely made them smaller since October (last time I went) and raised the price. This is understandable because they use quality meat. The vibe of the restaurant is pretty cool, and I love their concept. The seats are really tiny and low, so older guest and tall people may have an uncomfortable seating experience Overall this is a fun restaurant, and great to come late at night for casual food, but I wish they kept the portion size and customer experience I had when they first opened.
