Beef noodle soup was ok. A bit skimpy on the noodles and the beef. Asked for a mild side salad and they switched it to a spicy papaya salad I think cuz it was more expensive than the soup or they had leftovers or something.My favorite Thai is King of Thai Noodle House in San Francisco. Much much better food quality and service. I was looking for a good Thai Noodle House in LA. This wasn't it and paying $15 for a salad I didn't want was disappointing. Don't trust their recommendations.An hour later and still belching up spicy papaya. Pray for me.Really good LA restaurants are hard to find.

Great little Thai restaurant. Good food, both my dish and my friend's dish were great. Great prices-- they have a lunch menu for under $9 that includes soup or salad, rice and an egroll. Pleasant dining room. Waiter was super nice to my friend who couldn't decide between soup or salad... he just brought her both.If you can't find parking, drive a block east. There are hourly meters there that are often open.

What surprised me about Chuan Chim was the quality of the tomyum and they also add watermelon at the end with like a sort of desert. They have great attention to detail and it's definitely another Thai restaurant with perfect recipes and a nice owner as well.

A hole in the wall with great tasting food and super friendly service. Not sure what else to say about it except that they are open late and it's worth giving it a try.Oh, one more thing. Just know that in the truth Tai tradition even their mild is spicy when they dish is marked spicy

I had a late night craving for some wonton soup and Thai iced green tea and came across this restaurant on GrubHub. I ordered the Wonton soup, which includes ground chicken wontons, bbq pork, green onions, baby bok choy, cilantro, and fresh garlic. The soup came in a 32oz container and was filled to the brim with piping hot delicious and tasty soup. They also included utensils, soy sauce, napkins and cups of chili flakes, sriracha and jalapeños. The Thai iced green tea was also good, refreshing and not too sweet. I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely order again the next time I'm craving some Thai food.

We were headed to Thailand Plaza when I noticed this restaurant. I looked at Yelp and saw that it, got four stars, so we went in. What a pleasant surprise! It's owner operated and the chef is her son. The food is delicious, the service excellent, and a real cut above the rest.We've found our new favorite spot in Thai town! I highly recommend this place. And, with the parking situation where parking is free in front of the building, it's super simple to navigate. So happy to have found our new spot.

I had a hankering for Thai food while I was near Hollywood. There're lots of little hole in the wall places dotting Hollywood boulevard in between the homeless encampments. I found a parking spot right in front of this little thai place that was empty at 8:00 p.m. on a Tuesday. The Yelp reviews seemed positive otherwise I would have been nervous. It doesn't feel like the cleanest place but that could just be the age of the building. However it would feel a lot fresher with a new coat of paint. Just saying. The owner was quite friendly but despite having no business at the moment she wasn't very accommodating. You could either have mixed vegetables in a white sauce or all sorts of dishes that had meat in it but you couldn't have both. In other words, I would have liked a medley of vegetables with my green Curry with chicken. Instead I got a few strips of bamboo shoots and bell peppers but that's it. For 13 bucks maybe I don't get to expect more. However, charging me $4 for one bowl steamed rice took a tiny dish that was relatively reasonably priced and made it obnoxious. Seriousy, who eats curry without rice?! Anyway, the dish had a nice kick but all told with tip it cost me $21 which is $8 too much for what I got.

Really cute cafe that seemed perfect for brunch and dinner. Service was stellar and we felt like we were dining at a friend's home. We ordered some spicy seafood soup, egg rolls, a veg stir fry entrée, a red curry, and some chow mein followed by the mango sticky rice. Each dish was delicious and tasted fresh and pretty healthy. They even served some cut watermelon at the end. Such a hidden gem!
