I can confidently say this is the best Korean barbecue experience I've ever had, and I live near Westminster and been to K town plenty. Forget the high end places that bring out your meats from a menu. While the interior might feel minimalist, that simplicity is part of the charm--it keeps the focus entirely on the food and service, which are both outstanding. The LA Galbi is the best I've had, the beef belly was great and bulgogi. The grill setup seemed more traditional and it never needed to be turned up or down; amazing. The self-serve aspect is fantastic, with a condiment bar that's an absolute highlight. From the perfectly seasoned banchan to the fresh vegetable sides, every detail is thoughtfully prepared. But the true star of the show? The service. My server, Daniel, was hands-down the best I've ever had in my life. His kindness, attentiveness, and generosity elevated the entire experience. Without me even asking, he brought out cold noodles, onion salad, and other delicious condiments that paired perfectly with the meal. It was like he anticipated my every need before I even knew it.To top it off, I ended the meal with an incredible pumpkin porridge--sweet, comforting, and the perfect finish to an amazing feast. For the price, the quality is unbeatable, and I genuinely can't recommend this place enough. If you're lucky enough to have Daniel as your server, rest assured you'll be in great hands. This place has officially set the bar for Korean barbecue!ALSO, I've never had Sikhye before holy crap. He gave it to me after the meal it tastes like horchata but better! Look it up and try it. Definitely authentic

I had to visit this spot after reading the recent LAist article on the restaurant:https://laist.com/news/food/love-all-you-can-eat-korean-bbq-its-time-to-honor-choeng-wun-buffets-historyChoeng Wun is one of the olded restaurants in KoreaTown! If you're looking for a fun and delicious Korean BBQ spot, this place is definitely worth a visit. I really appreciate the customizatbility of the meal- there are multiple price tiers so there are options for those on a budget. The owner is also super sweet and even took the time to show us how to wrap the grilled meat and toppings in lettuce! The meats were fresh and flavorful, and were frequently replenished in the buffet line. The buffet setup is great for trying a little bit of everything, but I do wish they had an option for a salad buffet only-- Sometimes I just want to stuff my face with rice and sides without bothering with the grill. Overall, it's a solid spot for a casual meal with friends or family. The food's good, the service is friendly, and it's a fun way to eat. Definitely recommend checking it out!

I love this place! Where else can you get AYCE KBBQ with salad bar/buffet for so cheap?!They have different menu options, ranging from $25-35. We got the $35 option. They even have a lunch discount. The meat is self serve. And they also have different soups, vegetables, side dishes, Korean fried chicken, etcThe food is excellent! The service here is probably the best I have ever received at a KBBQ restaurant. I definitely wanna come back here!

There is a lot of different meat selections you can make here. Beef tongue, chadol, short rib, pork belly, galbi, chicken and so on. There is also another aisle for different side dishes too. There wasn't that many people here on a Saturday evening. It was pretty quiet for the most part. Not sure why there isn't more because the meat, kimchi, green onion salad, and cold noodles (came in such a small bowl). Since there wasn't that many people, there was only one lady running things when we arrived. Her service was ight. Reminder if you come here: if you don't finish the meat that you take from the aisle because if you're full, you will get charged by the pound. Anyways, would I come here again? Hmmm maybe. I dunno. I just came with family. -Tony

Family's (Korean) consensus rating was five stars ! First off the service was great. We were there early and owner sat us down and even told us to start eating if we wanted to. Note, they have special pricing starting at 7:30pm, but that wasn't an issue. Not used to that, especially at AYCE restaurant. They also came by and cooked some of the meats for us and changed grills often. Again, not used to that from AYCE. Second was the quality of the meat. The Kalbi was tasty and fresh. The size of the shrimp too! There really wasn't a bad dish we tried and for $35pp after 7:30pm, we thought it was a really great deal. Place is a bit worn, but we weren't there for the decor. We just wanted a variety of good Korean dishes and were not disappointed!

I wish I knew about this when I was younger and I could eat way more! I don't think there's another buffet style all-you-can-eat (AYCE) restaurant in ktown. It's kind of crazy to have this business model since you can literally get as much meat as you want.Considering that this is an AYCE, the quality of the meat is pretty solid and they have a huge variety as well. There are plenty of side dishes (banchans), and lots of veggies to eat along with the meat. They even have self-serve naengmyun that I had 3 bowls of.The vibe of the restaurant is very 90's with the booth style seats and old korean music playing in the background, but everything is clean and service is great as well.Parking is free, but somewhat limited, so you'll probably have to park on the street during busy times. All in all, I stuffed my face for over two hours, so would definitely come back.

I used to come here a lot. However, I haven't had a chance to visit here more than several years since I moved to Northern Cali. Now, I am back to my favorite place. Food, Service, and Ambiance are good as before and as expected.
