What I Ordered: -Chili Cheese Dog $6.90-Chili Cheeseburger $7.55-Train Wreck Fries $5.35I made a long overdue trip to Carney's. Carney's is talked about as one of the best Chili Cheese Dogs in LA. I knew I had to see for myself. Regarding being the best Chili Cheese Dog in LA, I'm not sure the one I had deserves the title. It was pretty good. The dog had a decent snap to it. I will say for the price and the sheer size of the chili cheese dog. It is a very affordable deal. It comes with a hefty portion of chili on the dog. It comes with two slices of fresh and juicy tomatoes. The chili is a very wet chili. It has a decent spice to it, but it is not spicy by any means. It wasn't the best chili cheese dog that I've had. That title belongs to Chroni's. Carney's offers a bigger-sized chili dog for a more affordable price. Not to mention, you get to eat inside a train car on Sunset Blvd. The location is really unbeatable. The rock n roll music playing is a bit loud. If you are hard of hearing, it may be difficult to hear. Keep that in mind when taking a kid here. The chili cheeseburger was pretty good. It was pretty solid. The Train Wreck Fries is basically a carbon copy of Animal Style fries from In n' Out. The fries alone were too crunchy and didn't taste very good on their own. When you add the cheese, onions, and Thousand Island dressing. The fries are much more edible. Carney's is another one of those nostalgic places you grow up going to with your family. The portion sizes are pretty good for the price you pay. I'll be back.

I believe I reviewed this place about 10Years ago and after all of this time I keep coming back. I've been a loyal Carneys customer since 2001 and after all of these years Carneys has not changed. Sure, occasionally they'll have some sponsored marketing stuff on the outside but the service and the food have not changed.A good old fashioned burger that's made with love and friendly service. Something about walking in to a train car just makes you feel happy no matter how old you are. I hope social media never gets a hold of this place because the lines will be out the door if people find out about Carneys. I love that it still feels like MY spot. You can't miss the big yellow train when you drive down sunset so do yourself a favor and stop by. They have something for everyone and they've been service a killer veggie burger since before it was cool to do so. Even their turkey burger is fire!As businesses close over the years it makes me so happy to see Carneys is still going strong with great vibes, music, service, and delicious food. Thank you Carneys for delivering me with over 2 decades of happy memories. It's worth the 2 hour drive to come see everyone and be taken back to the days of my youth.

Carneys is an LA Institution! As a local I can only dream that other restaurants can live up to how cool Carneys is. I've been going there since I was a Hollywood kid and haven't had a single bad meal in 35+ Years. During the Post-Holiday Hangover, there was a discrepancy over a credit card bill amount for me and my Godson. I returned months later and Carneys Manager [John Wolf] said he'd look into the problem, personally. Within a week, I had John's private cell number. Within 10 Days he had solved the problem, apologized, and things were completely fixed. He wouldn't even accept a tip as he realized one of his employees had erred in the first place. And again, the food I ordered could not be beat. Carneys: Their manager is honest. The Food's always A1 Great!! Simply a terrific local business on all fronts. Go to Carneys!!!

I love going to Carney's because you are going to get a great hot dog, customer service and meal at this location. It is so fun to be here enjoying the food, scenery and the people. I ordered my chicago hot dog, 2 of them along with fries. They are always good and love the prices. The staff are great, treat you well and happy to have you there as guests. We came in on 6-28-24 around 8pm before our movie.

Sooo delicious. The husband and I definitely favored the chili cheeseburger over the chili dog, but both were delicious. Cool place to eat right on sunset blvd!

Are you kidding? This is THE joint if you are looking for a double chili cheese burger. It's just sooo good. Messy! Get fries to help sop up the chili! This place has been here for 45-50 years.... They know exactly how to make this burger. They have a great hot dog too!! I am there for the for the burger. Get lots of napkins before sitting down to eat. Cool people watching on the sunset strip!!

Amazing food, and the people here are really nice. I feel this place doesn't get a big enough recognition in such a big town.

The food is good and what you would expect, chili dogs and chili burgers. If you're down by Beverly and rampart, try Tommy's chili burgers and dogs at that end of town. The music is good, the owner is nice. Be sure to tip well. My fries were underdone but I didn't bother going and asking them to be cooked more.
