Food - spectacular. I ordered the fettuccine with cacio e Pepe sauce & chicken and it was perfectly aldente. The sauce was so creamy and perfect and it had just the right amount of pepper. Portion size was also great and so freaking affordable.Service - impeccable service. The waitress/hostess was super friendly and walked us through the menu. Food came out at a reasonable time. Ambiance - it's a casual spot. Has indoor and outdoor seating with heaters outside. Everything was tidy and clean. No complaints. 5/5 will definitely return with my boyfriend.super impressed!!!!

Really 3.5, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and rounding up for now. I'll definitely give them another try before my final judgement. The good: the focaccia was spectacular, and the handmade pasta itself was delicious...perfectly tender.The not-so-good: They have plates set out already on all the tables, and mine had dried food on it. Blech. And I was craving Fettuccine Alfredo, and although the pasta itself was great, the sauce was very bland, and the there was WAYYYY too much sauce on the pasta. It was dripping in it. Service was decent, and the outdoor patio seating will be nice in the summer. Like I said, I'll give it another try before final judgement.

Fantastic new pasta restaurant in the area!I love handmade pasta. And Carasau 100% delivered on taste, texture, and quality! Pastas here are extremely customizable. You pick a handmade pasta option, (vegan options are available too!), pick a sauce, and them pick an optional protein. I got the melloredus with the mushroom sauce and the meatballs. Divine! The pasta was very clearly hand made, perfect chew, and was a great selection for the sauce I chose. The meatballs were also impressive. I didn't expect too much from them, and was blown away. Beef meatballs too I think. My husband got the spinach ravioli with the cherry tomato sauce. It was also delicious, the sauce being the best accompaniment for the pasta. I personally liked my pasta dish better though. The chef/owner(?) also provided a free focaccia bread basket. I love focaccia but the husband doesn't due to how heavy and oily it can be sometimes. But not here! The bread had a fantastic texture inside and was light and airy. I'd totally buy this, not just as an appetizer, but to soak up all the delicious sauce. This restaurant also has wine, salads, sandwiches, indoor and outdoor seating. Really friendly and nice service. I'd come back to try their lasagne, the burrata, and definitely more of their handmade pasta. 100% recommend.

A lovely casual restaurant serving authentic Italian food. I enjoyed their fresh pasta perfectly cooked to al dente. Great selection of sauces, pasta types, and toppings that lets you create a unique pasta dish to your liking. The tiramisu I had was smooth and rich- so definitely try that if you have a sweet tooth! Food was ready pronto and staff were very welcoming. I'm glad that I stopped by and look forward to coming back!

Carasau Pasta Bar is a newly opened restaurant that makes their own pasta. They are also known for cooking their dishes on the spot, making you get your food quickly. In my experience, everytime I order my meal, it usually all arrives less than 10 minutes. In terms of their service, the employees were very nice and attentive. Although the restaurant isn't fine dining, this is a perfect place to go if you are ever craving pasta. The food I ordered was fettuccine Alfredo. It was not only creamy, but also had the perfect balance to it, making it not too heavy. Overall, if you are seeking a place to try, try Carasau Pasta Bar. You won't be disappointed.

Yay so happy to welcome a new pasta spot to the neighborhood! The ambiance is very casual for families but also nice enough for a date night or intimate gathering with a couple of friends. Inside seating is pretty limited with only 3 big tables and counter stool seating on one wall. Outside they have about 8 more tables but not a ton of space so I would not recommend for large parties. When I came with my husband at night we almost sat outside but none of the heaters were on and it was a little bit too cold. Inside our options were limited as 2/3 of the tables still needed to be cleaned off from the last customers and they didn't seem to be in any rush to clean them. As I said above, the ambiance is very casual. As soon as we walked in they handed us little paper menus and told us when ready we could order at the counter and then pick our seats. Ordering was easy, the cashier was also the one who cooked our food and he provided great recommendations of what pastas to get with the sauces we wanted. He also showed us all of the pasta shapes! They were also extremely generous and gave us a Focaccia Basket on the house which was warm and baked to perfection. The pasta dishes were cooked immediately behind the glass counter which you can see and we waited less than 10 minutes. Once the pasta came we could instantly tell the noodles were fresh and honestly some of the best quality noodles I've had in LA. I ordered the Fettuccine with Pink Sauce and my husband got Penne with Cacio e Pepe. Both dishes were great! The only thing I would say is that they needed a bit more flavoring in the sauces, but once we added some salt we were very happy. For dessert we got the tiramisu which also tasted very fresh and one of the best I've had. Would definitely recommend this! Overall I was very impressed with their quality of food and price point. The pastas are all around $15 without protein and then $20-$24 with protein. You can't get much better than that in LA for this homemade quality and I hope it stays this way! I definitely recommend and look forward to coming back and trying more dishes.

The food and ambiance is very nice. You don't interact with the staff as much as they don't serve you at the table. We had focaccia, Caesar salad, Malloreddus bolognese and the lasagna. They were incredibly kind and gave us dessert on the house. The lasagna stole the show and so too did the salad. Both were delish. The ambiance is that if Italy looking out at 3rd street. Another lovely meal! Thankful! Cauliflower soup was amazing! Tried arrabbiata with meatballs. Just to try the meatballs. Delicious. But definitely prefer the arrabbiata with shrimp better. Give it a try, you'll thank yourself for it. Enjoy a glass of cannonau di Sardegna (similar to a Grenache) whilst you are at it! Grazie mille per il vostro servizio!!!

Ordered to go the Malloreddus pasta with funghi sauce and chicken. Oh my it is heavenly! Pasta does look like snails but cooked so al dente and has a great chew to it. It absorbs the sauce really well and I love the mushrooms that get caught up inside the curved folds of the pasta to add to the flavor. Not too salty, cheesy or wet they did the pasta really well. It was good idea they separated the chili flakes and Parmesan cheese on the side as I do not like it mixed in my to go box. I was done in 10 mins-- that's how good it was! Def give this place a try. Price is reasonable too.

Cannot stop talking about how hard this restaurant goes. Some of the best casual Italian food I've had in town. The service was phenomenal, the vibe was chill, and I've been telling everyone to check this place out.
