This is a 4.2 star but I did 5 because it should have a higher overall score The insalada verde and grilled shrimp apps were fresh and delicious. My wife had the gluten free penne pasta with truffles and it was one of the best gluten free dishes we've had in the cityBranzino was solid but not a stand out. Nice that it's open on Xmas. Our server Margie was attentive and kind. We would be excited to return

While I love shopping at Eataly, dining at Capri was disappointing. The pasta was undercooked and lacked seasoning, making it far from enjoyable. The Insalata Verde? Hands down, the most bitter salad I've ever had! For the price, I expected much better.I'm giving this place two stars solely because the focaccia was still delicious--but that's about it. Definitely not a spot I'd return to for a meal.

I was excited to finally come try a restaurant in Eataly and to my disappointment, some of the food tastes low-quality for such a high price. MAZZI PACOHERI AL RAGO NAPOLETANO 0/5. I totally do not recommend this dish. The pasta is way undercooked. I was going to send it back but it's my boyfriend's dish and he's too nice to send anything back. He would just not come back to this establishment ever again. RISOTTO CON FUNCHI PORCINI 3/5 was actually decent and I have no complaint. It is not beyond tasty and one-in-a-lifetime flavor but it is delicious in a mundane way. It is not worth $33 though. PATATE FRITTE 4/5 was crispy for all it has. It comes with no dipping sauce. CAVOLETTI DI BRUXELLES 4/5 was very delicious but also tastes like the oven-roasted pack of veggies I got from Costco. CARPACCIO DI RICCIOLA 5/5 was my favorite. It was good with bread. It would be too salty and sour, filled with lemon juice if eaten alone. FOCACCIA BARESE 5/5 comes in a small portion but filling. It is basic over beyond basic but no complaint. Service was so-so. Our assigned staff barely checked on us because I needed another water later. But I managed to get them at the end. Overall I wouldn't come back. The place is fancy, dark, comes with a candy (that's not lit for our table), and fresh flower vase. But everything is so mediocre.

Have eaten here a handful of times and I've tried to like it but simply cant get quite there unfortunatelyThis restaurant is in the Eataly area of Century City mall all the way in the back of the marketThere's 2 separate restaurants,1 of them is Capri, along with the 2nd restaurant, it does Seafood but the other one doesnt, thats what the main difference is between the two restaurantsThis most recent visit, we had these 4 dishes1 BRUSCHETTA RICOTTA E MIELE2 TRIS DI TARTARE3 RISOTTO CON FUNGHI PORCINI4 TAGLIATELLE AL TARTUFO NEROThe Bruschetta was very good, the ricotta cheese & truffle honey were excellent tasting & the best out of the 4 dishes we ordered as far as taste goes, this was a starter for us. The portions were excellent and taste was on point just the right amount of cheese & honey. The bad part, the rustic in house made bread was awful, it was extremely difficult to cut let alone bite into. The crust is literally rock solid & once you are able to bite into it it actually cut the inside of my mouth. I recommend they either use a different bread or not grill it to the point where the crust is virtually impossible to bite intoThe Tris Di Tartare also had great portions of fish with tuna, salmon & yellow tail, great starter before your mains. The fish were all very fresh excellent quality. The bad, it was extremely bland tasting, the lemon dressing was non existent & it says theres no oil dressing but it was pretty oily, the fresh mint you can taste a hint of it. As far as taste goes it was not great at all. Definitely needed much more salt & lemon dressing to help bring out the tasteNow for the mainsThe Mushroom Risotto, taste wasnt terrible but wasnt amazing either. The serving size was great. You can tell its freshly made but it was also very poorly cooked. The risotto itself was undercooked & it was extremely oily way too much to where it overwhelmed the flavor. The taste was dripping in extra virgin olive oil, thank goodness at least it was good quality oil or else we would be pretty sick afterwardsThe Tagliatelle with Black truffle you can also tell was very freshly made. The quality of the tagliatelle was excellent. Portion size could have been a little bit more. There was barely any black truffle on it could have been more for the price paid. This also like the risotto was extremely oily, it also overwhelmed the flavor & taste. The taste was bland on top of it being too oilyFor the price we paid which wasnt cheap at all this could have been a much much much better eating experience. The quality of food was great but the taste was a 1 star at most. The service was good overall from our waiter. This place is priced like a 5 star restaurant but you get 2 star overall taste and flavor. For the food we received it is extremely overpriced. Would not recommend & would not be returning until theres a change in the things mentioned above

We tried Capri for their Dine LA lunch menu. Ambiance is super cute, the colors definitely make you feel like you're on vacation. Service was okay. Comes with an appetizer & main. We loved the apps , ricotta bruschetta & Burrata. For mains we did the zucchini spaghetti & the ravioli caprese. The spaghetti was a bit too salty for us. Since the burrata didn't come with bread we ordered the olive focaccia on the side & that was probably the best thing we had!

For the price you pay, I do not think it's worth it. However, the food is good, and I do enjoy the ambiance of Eataly. As you may have figured out, Eataly is split up into two restaurants, Capri is one of them. Unfortunately, the service was not the best, but we were happy clams talking. Although, as more hours passed and we both still had to drive home and wake up early for work the next day, we had to hunt down the waitress that was attending our table. I'm pretty sure we left close to 10PM even though we got there around 6PM. I know the pasta or pizza is supposed to be the highlight at this restaurant, but I enjoyed the zucchini fritters the most. I will come again if I am given a giftcard or being treated out.

Our Valentine's dinner was practically inedible. Both were entirely too much salt. The mushroom risotto was mostly salt, butter and cheese, very little mushroom flavor, and the truffle addition had 0 truffle flavor. Maybe it was just a busy night and the cooking was off. The service was pleasant. If we were different people however, we would have sent both dishes back.

This restaurant is located next to La Pizza and La Pasta and the line up for both is at the same hostess stand. We asked to be seated with whichever restaurant had no wait. We were told we'd be seated immediately at Capri and they made us wait 15 minutes while we watched everyone else get seated before us. Not cool. We asked them what was going on. They couldn't even find our ticket. When we were seated there was also plenty of seating available. I did not appreciate this since I was very hungry. The service was okay. Everyone we interacted with from the hostesses to the server said polite words, but their tone felt like they were dying on the inside. The food was good, but maybe it tasted better because I was starving. They have a lunch set menu of a 2 course pre fixe for $30. I picked the burrata with artichokes and spaghetti nerano (zucchini). The pasta was delicious and cooked to perfect al dente. The burrata was good, no complaints. This lunch set menu was clearly a good deal since the spaghetti nerano is $29 a la carte and the burrata was $23 a la carte. So definitely go for lunch.I didn't see any pizzas offered on the lunch set menu.Sausage and broccoli rabe pizza - this was really good with a crispy crust and the sweet Italian sausage. We also got the broccoli rabe side and it was a bit bland, but tasted healthy. I hated the restrooms. It's located in the wine shop. They had the sinks with push faucets that don't run the water long enough to actually wash your hands. Also, no paper towels so you have to touch dirty surfaces like the door handle to exit. After the pandemic, you think they would consider these infection prevention precautions. There's no foot pedal to pull the door open so you know the employees will have to touch a dirty door handle before returning to work.

In the mall, but this Eataly is really big, compared to the Valley fair Eataly. Very spacious, with views of a high rise next door. Food is consistent across all the restaurants. Portions are appropriately sized, so if you are super hungry, you may want to consider another spot or order more appetizers. My wait staff was very nice, checked on the table the appropriate intervals and made us feel welcome. Save some time to walk around after to checkout the rest of the market.
